You’re welcome 💕 it did stiffen a little, my recommendation is to add more oils to the batch than you normally would to help it maintain a creamy consistency. Also, storing it anywhere that’s cooler will allow it harden so I say keep it where the sun is or it’s warmer & it works fine .

Thanks girl❤️ It did ! I recommend using more oils than you normally would so the consistency stays creamy. also it will solidify a little if it’s stored in a cooler place so keep that in mind hit for summer heat? It’s perffff

Hi! Thank you for sharing this recipe. I have two questions. Since you didn’t use an emulsifier, is it guaranteed the shea butter won’t harden back up some how? And did you send any of your previous items to a lab to be tested for stability and bacteria before launching? I look forward to your reply!

That’s a great question, so because it is shea butter it will solidify eventually. I don’t send my products to a lab, but I do PH testing at home to ensure that they are stable. For my emulsified butters and many of my products I always use a preservative in my recipe. I hope this answers your questions! Thank you for watching !

Yes exactly. It is not really a lotion to pour or pump. It resolidfies and then can't be a lotion

How long did you let the butter sit in the fridge for ?
For this small batch it was about 1 hour
Will this harden up or can we put it in bottles with pump?
It does eventually harden after some time. sadly I had to redo my formula

Ummm excuse me? Ma'am? so what did you use for your lotion not to form back into a solid. Ive made many lotions, creams and gels and had to become a "mad scientist" in the kitchen, if u know what i mean.
What is the arrow root for
It says to stop your cream from looking to oily when spreading on your skin
No water was added?
What is the arrowroot powder for
So it will not be too greasy

If it doesn’t have water in it, it’s not a lotion.
Yeah, this lotion will melt there is no stability. People who does actual cosmetics add certain ingredients in there, so it doesn’t mountain any temperature you should add a ossifying wax to your lotions so it doesn’t melt and stay longer in the bottle
