Now, this is a thought-out ship. The level of detail involved here, the class name details, the details of the fighters alone is impressive. I was never a fan of the whole multi-vector thing but, he actually makes sense of it. Fighters in the Trek universe are a tricky thing.
Agreed. A great ship indeed. I still don't understand having fighters in the Star Trek universe. They're useless in an actual battle with large enemy starships. It's a one-way mission if you ever thought of signing up for this duty (no thanks). Roundabout ships are a little different but even after a few minor encounters with powerful enemy starships you were a goner.
It makes absolutely no sense at all, I could go in to it but I made a comment that summarises above look for that, this concept is retarded at best FFS it's so stupid it's laughable and you said it was well though out 🤣😂🤣 I challenge any part you think is well though through, tell me here and I'll explain just how stupid and obviously flawed it is and I bet I do it easily 🤣🤣
I actually really love the idea of Thea. Having the almost sentient ship was a really fun idea in Andromeda, and could create some really interesting ideas in a Star Trek series.
"Thea"!!! I LOVE it!!! Instead of saying "computer" all the time you actually have "somebody" to talk to and address on a more personal level like Cortana from Halo or Romie from Andromeda. I really really wish this was available in STO.
Oh yeah, sure! Just what *Star Trek Online "really needs"!* Another *effing LOCKBOX SUPERSHIP!* Don't the friggin' WHITE GUYS who 'populate' STO, already have enough exclusively WHITES ONLY STO SWAG, ALREADY?
It's a bit of a supership, but I think this is an incredibly well thought-out take on the Odyssey platform. I daresay it's better thought-out than the Prometheus ever was.
Great show guys,I'm 47,and have been a fan of Star trek for 43 years, and always loved the ship designs,I used to draw my own upgraded enterprises, funny thing some of my childhood designs actually came close to the iterations of the 1701 many years later.im really enjoying your detailed information about these ships, makes me feel young again!
I’m planning on creating a Star Trek show set in the 25th century post Star Trek Online, I think? So it’s kinda post Nemesis. And yes, I would love to see a Star Trek Show set after Nemesis.
I'd like to see the next one with the new Odyssey class Enterprise F. And possibly with this ship making appearances and eventually getting a spinoff. I think it's time to bring the next enterprise to the screen.
My Favorite Ship. Also love the Story and writers from U.S.S. Theurgy Lore. SO much detail in everything they do. I also think this should be made into a new show.
This is by far the best quad engined ship when it comes to proportion and design integration of the engines. Better than Prometheus and better than stargazer; it's done in a much more elegant and organic manner. Very often four engines seem crowded but on this ship they are beautifully spaced and look very natural. Absolutely beautiful ship and the animations are _absolutely stunning_!!! I also loved the bonus pics of the interior, which are rare treat. Great episode guys; you never fail to keep providing top-notch content!
This episode was absolutely fantastic and this ship, the story behind it and the detail is astonishing. I would love to see more of this, this is Star Trek that I love. And the external website, WOW! So much detail, such care and attention. Bravo to the creator! Great new title sequence as well!
This is the kind of thing i want to see from a new Star Trek Series that is placed post Nemesis. None of the pieces are particularly unique or special, but all parts have legacy, some place where they are inspired from and they have been moved forward to the logical next step. The combination of all that is what shows the love to the source material and that is what makes it special, even when every single piece has been there already, even the look of the Ship is just a Kitbash really, which is also Star Trek tradition and makes perfect sense.
@@dboymax1 TBH after seeing Picard I really do not hate it like most people. It had some missteps but some of it is quite good. Just this morning I was rewatching this scene ruclips.net/video/6oDGWQ1yL8s/видео.html and it still tears me up.
This is the ship that I’ve been wanting to see in Star Trek it takes the best of multi vector and ability to fight for it self with the size and capabilities of the enterprise E would love to see the TV show starring this ship as the new enterprise possibly a little larger but yeah just like it
I've always thought that since holograms are programs run from the ship's computer a sentient hologram technically IS a sentient ship. Just inhabiting a photonic avatar rather than the hull it's conciousness actually resides in. The two biggest issues I see with fully integrating a sentient AI with the ship it inhabits are; 1) What is the status of the AI if the captain is compromised? Can the ship relive its captain if they break the prime directive? 2) What do you do with it once the ship reaches the end of its service life and needs to be decomissioned?
In the original series, there was an episode where Starfleet tested an AI on the Enterprise. Most of the crew was removed and other captains referred to Kirk as Capt. Dunsel (a useless captain). The AI was positronic based and invented by the inventor of the positronic circuit.
I'm sure this has all been said in the 200+ comments already. But this ship has all of the foundational supports for a "real" new star trek series. Where the next generation data/emh ship AI can be one of the lead cast members. This is a 8 year series that I desperately want to see. Fan contributions from many different vectors are continuously proving to be many magnitudes better thought out than anything coming out of the IP owners. God I just want real star Trek back. And I vote for THIS star ship.
That's a fantastic ship. I've thought about what an Odyssey based STO era dreadnought would be like for some time now, but my vision was more along the lines of the Galaxy X, i.e. saucer sep (not multi-vector assault mode), two of the phaser lance cannons instead of one (one branching on to the saucer from each neck), and a phase shifting cloak, yet mine would still have four engine nacelles. Anyways, the Theurgy's a very well thought out, detailed design that I agree would make an awesome hero ship, my props to the designer!
Right off the bat, and I'm sorry if I'm late to comment, but the opening animation with the different iterations of the Enterprise in drydock is a _fantastic_ introduction to this video series. Great job as always!

I know I am probably not interpreting the AI correctly but I get this image of the ships' computer having a personality similar to Datas and that alone would be so interesting to see on the show. The ship becoming part of and beloved by the crew...would it be murder to self-destruct? If not legally would it feel that way to the Captain? Sorry, going off on a tangent. Awesome ship. I never understood why the Federation dismissed kinetic weapons like railguns, since physical attacks like ramming Jem Hadar bug-ships turned out to be so efficient and also the Borg's abilities to cope with energy weapons would have made kinetic guns absolutely crucial. The ethics around decommissioning a ship with a Soong-style brain at its core would be fascinating - does she get a new body? silmarian it's a bit off topic but I always thought it would be cool if post ST:Nemesis we found out that Commander Data was under special orders from Star Fleet intelligence to back up his memory and personality to a restricted section of one of the Enterprise E computer Core and then he was eventually revived as an AI hologram
She's like a Ship in the Anne Mccaffery series in that she is distinct from the physical ship - so yeah they could take her out and put her in another ship or even just install the brain in her avatar - if the brain is normal size.
Then we find out that Star Fleet couldn't reproduce a Soong-style brain and it is in fact just a human in one of those computer linkup chairs, that Barclay made in Nth Degree.

The Helmet's nacelle is just a small version of the other hull's nacelles. There is no visual hint that it has two sets of warp coils. If that was somehow shown in the design of that nacelle, I'd appreciate this ship even move. Right now, 8/10. I love those fighters, by the way. They look fantastic.
Picture this in a show based from the perspective of section 31. Never been a show from S31s perspective. This and the Odyssey class are my two all time favorite ships.
Really love this ship design. But what happens if any of the external hulls are damaged from battle while separated? One or more of the separate hulls would likely not be able to rejoin until the external damage is repaired. And depending on the tight tolerances allowable when rejoining, the damage can be something very minor (like a 'car dent').
Wow I like this ship! This would be a great concept for a new Star Trek show. Think about it. Our new cars are already driving by themselves. We talk to Seri all the time on our phones. The Ship computer on original Star Trek at times came across sentient. I really think this is where the future of Star Trek should go. In later seasons the computer will make a hologram of herself. I know it is not a new concept. Legends of tomorrow have done it. I think Dr Who has done it. Iron Man has has done it with his suit. I really would love to see that in Star Trek . Oh yah Young Justice has a sentient ship.
I've dreamed of a ship just like this ever since Message In A Bottle. Glad someone made it. Only thing I don't care for are those gaps in the saucer "helmet" section. Not big on the AI, but it makes sense after the emh and ech being created. Can we have this in STO? PLEASE! lol. I just started playing it a few weeks ago on ps4.

My question is if the ship could house an extra 50 guests in comfort, where do you put the beings that are evacuated…which are surely to be far more than 50, according to said mission?🧐

my exact ship taste. 4 big nacelles, an enterprise E esque hull and an amazing profile.
1) I'd buy that from STO's C-Store if it was available.
2) CBS give your head a wobble and do something like this for a Star Trek series.
That is one, cool ship. I agree with an earlier comment that this ship needs another episode or three. Great work.

Shades of Andromeda...
I always thought that Andromeda was suposed to be a Star Trek ship. The two universes have a lot of similarities and Andromeda was based on notes from Gene Rodenberry.

I never understood why the Federation dismissed kinetic weapons like railguns, since physical attacks like ramming Jem Hadar bug-ships turned out to be so efficient and also the Borg's abilities to cope with energy weapons would have made kinetic guns absolutely crucial.
