The easy version of this was the first piece i ever learned on piano by my self. short after the easy version i learned the "hard" version by my self, too. It just looks really hard but its not so hard. :) its pretty easy! you just have to focus and train your skills. If you want to see something "impossible" than check Liszt. :p

Sustain pedal for the chords indeed. I can play it. I've played piano about 5 years ago for just a couple of years. I've been playing again since 2 weeks, and I master this one pretty much. It's not as hard as it looks, you just need some fast hand movements, but that's a matter of practising and repeating.

all you got to do to have the left hand play and bring it over is to hold down the damper peddle...for all beginners its the far right pedal it will extend the note, making it sound like your holding it.
@Kjd913anime101 The pedals allow you to sustain a note, without having to keep your hand on it. You push the note with the pedal down, then your hand can move, as long as you hold the pedal. It just helps sustain notes.
this video was helpful except that i ended up relying almost entirely on the music :P mostly because i was tired of having to go upstairs to listen to the video on the computer, then go back downstairs to play it on piano (and i usually forgot what i had just heard within a few seconds) but this video helped in that i knew how it should sound and if i was doing anything wrong.
You press the C and Bflat only with your right hand, A G D you do with your left hand by switching fast... Most of the A G D are played by the left hand, if its too hard, try the easier one first.
Wow i remember checking this video 6 months ago and tried to play it but it seemed impossible, now i tried again and its pancakes for me. Only playing the piano for 1 year now without any lessons and i learned the whole thing under 5 hours. If you are motivated and and practice alot this is not hard at all.
@NexXTSurf its simple really, you focus on one section over and over and over and practice it on the piano and when you have that down you focus on another section. It's easy really

@bombardier9999 actually.. im in your exact shoes. guitar for most of my life, and just picked up a piano last night! already got the basics of this song done in a matter of hours, never touched a piano before in my life. guitar is a big help, and now all i need to do is fill in those little notes and details!

I DID IT! Took me a month to get both right. I won my talent show for playing this.
I just learned it , and i have to admit that its very hard in the beginning. But once you got the left hand rythm you can focus and the right hand.
Lol the middle REALLY REALLY hard part makes the earlier parts that you thought were hard look like freakin cake. This song is SO hardcore XO
