Disc Golf is going to increase its fan base slowly but surely. IMHO, the best way to do that isn't by hyping pro tournaments. The highest return will come from local clubs and rec departments staging short, easy, and well coached tournaments for kids. It's a shame that the PDGA won't touch this. They're not very good at hosting pro tournaments.

@@redragon1136 it is a shame and it should be the PDGA and every manufacturer number one goal. They wouldn’t have to sponsor a single pro player or tournament if they sponsored every PE class in their region. All those kids would be drawn to the sport and indirectly have a connection to that brand. Kind of like what Innova has done through big box stores. Oh you throw Innova? Yep it’s what I started with

@@redragon1136 and that is why pickle ball is taking over. My 6 year old plays pickle ball in PE but not disc golf. I know Ricky has been trying to do something with his foundation but the big companies should be shipping boxes of discs and baskets to every school in America. IMHO

@@user-ek8kr3yc9c I will elaborate. Play the hole that are designed and quit complaining. I'm 58 and just started playing DG two years ago. Naturally I watch DG videos and tournaments on RUclips because I love the sport. I've played pretty much all the courses in my area. Very few of them could host a pro tournament. Yet, several pro tour players hail from my region. Parker's Pasture is my home course. It's where my DG journey began. The pro tour ignores this beautiful course because it's not palatable to having 500 people showing up to watch. Yet, it's always challenging. There is no way pros would shoot 12 under every round. What I have found online is that the disc golf community online are mostly a bunch of nit picking charlatans. What I've met in person is completely different.
