  • Our first canoe camping trip of the year! Winter just left us and just 2 weeks before we was dog sledding on the lakes and now we're paddling.
So we took our two solo canoes and packed our stuff and border collies Johnny & Annie and went for an overnighter on a small river. With us we had a brand new Nortent Vern 2 to test for the first time. A very interesting 2 person tent with a stovejack.
A cozy trip with campfire steaks, funny dogs and a long bright night.

Great vid. Excellent drone footage. Reflections, still waters run deep. The stone, when I worked west coast in California USA we would be up in the mountains in the sand pits where we would find big shark's teeth several miles from the Pacific Ocean. So you too may run into a shark in the mountains, or at least it's teeth. Next time.

I have enjoyed your videos very much, takes me back to a place I have been to twice. Once to the Winter Market in 2014 and again in 2019 in the month of August when the “Rainbow” people were all over the town. Jokkmokk and Fairbanks are some what similar towns in many ways, just on opposite sides of the world. I have canoed camped and winter traveled with my sled dogs many US miles back in my younger years. I get a lot of pleasure watching how you do it, keep up the good work.
My questions are what is the company that made you pullover hooded fleece and which Nova Craft Canoe was Stina paddling.
I also have nearly all my life had a Border Collie as a companion, right not a 12 year old male that is slowing down like I am and a Gordon Setter female that will be a year old tomorrow.
Lovely country that you live in, very much like my beloved Alaska.

Thank you Richard! Haha, yes we remeber the rainbow people gathering too. Very nice guys.
We have some Norwegian friends who has been in Alaska and they call Jokkmokk "Little Alaska" because they think it's so similar.
I, Stina was using my Houdini Power Houdi and Matti used a Klättermusen Fallen Wooly Hoodie.
My canoe is a Nova Craft Fox 14 Solo Tuff Stuff. A really nice lightweight canoe.
Take Care and give your dog a hug. /Stina

At my cabin to the East of Jokkmokk there was still 20 inches of snow 3 weeks ago and 2 weeks ago the lake was still covered in ice. Today I was there and all the ice was gone and it was 30°C / 86 F ... it happens crazy fast in the North ...
