      So, are you finding it challenging to run or is it going OK?

    Please do more on the new modules coming out this upcoming year! I love the editing style btw, flows extremely well.

    I really love this video review. The duration of it has just the right time and is concise. The edition is eloquent and the audio is perfect. I'm a DM and this is just the kind of material I was looking for before I made the purchase of that book. I subscribe to your channel. Greetings from Argentina.

    I'm choosing an adventure for my next campaign and found this video, it's excellent, even better than some of the big channels. Thanks!

    Good review. Since you've probably concluded the campaign by now do you have any playlist, images, art, or other materials you can direct me towards? I'm about to run this for my group in about one month from now.

    Amazing review, I've been bouncing between this and witchlight for a brand new group. This helps me tremendously if they pick this one!

    Rime of the Frost Maiden was the first adventure I played in 5e, and the first D&D I'd actually played in many years in fact (as opposed just reading an old sourcebook or adventure for nostalgia). The new local game store was doing a weekly thing for new players, so it was water-down to be less lethal and newb-friendly ("It's too cold, so you all die."). I like the various little quests you do from town to town before getting into the bigger ones, helped build not just the setting but the characters' levels. We never got too far before the DM decided to switch to a Wild Beyond the Witchlight but I enjoyed it enough to buy the book for myself to see what else was there that I'd missed.

      Awesome story, and yeah you really did just scratch the surface. I'm sure after getting the book you got to see a lot of the very dramatic plot moments that happen later on.

    Im at such a loss of what adventure to pick up as a beginner DM. Basically every adventure people are saying its not suitable. Is there anything out there suitable for a new DM thats D&D beyond compatible? 😂

    Great vid and review! Just a quick question, you mentioned your group is approaching the end after a year, just wondering how often and for how long the sessions were scheduled?

    • @youstartinatavern
      @youstartinatavern  2 года назад +2

      Great question! We started off playing pretty regularly but the last few months we have only been able to play 2-3 per month so that has also drawn out the campaign!

    Nice review! I currently DM RotFM, we have the third session next Saturday after an unfortunately very long hiatus of 7 months....
    It's a hard setting to get into and a long pause at the beginning is really not good. XD
    Nevertheless I really like this module so far. BUT it needs a lot of tweaking since many things don't make sense or don't give enough reason to do something for the players..
    For the last 2 chapters I did some rewriting to make it have sense..
    Long story short, nice review! +1 sub

      Exactly what I found, there wasn't a clear driving force at the beginning of the campaign. Treat it as an opportunity for the players to explore the world and setting.

    If the party needs help or advise hire a 1st level animal handler/guide. He can offer opinion but no leadership. He can talk about what the locals think. Or the local Barbarian or Druid in the party can provide data.
