    4:23-4:27 that engagement was so perfect. Pinna is so coordinated. His counter with after the down block with the reverse punch. Then sweeps the leg to cause interruption then come back with a reverse kick. David kept his composure and was able to land an effective blow.

      @@random_guy_277 But those "sport" karatekas have better cardio, better shape, better strength , better preparation, and tests their skills... "traditionnal" karatekas don't fight, they just speak about stories of fight they won with their kiai, or against bears ...

    • @MagDiSante
      @MagDiSante Год назад

      @@taghasth Sensei TaiJi Kase and other traditional masters FOUGHT ON THE STREETS (real fight, not competition) and probably even KILLED some opponents ... Especially at the end of the 2nd world war, accidents with american soldiers living on bases in Japan and local people occurred vere often ... Patrick Baroux, European champion of Kumite, CHALLENGED Master Kase at the beginning of 70s but after a few "exchanges of techniques" he bowed and suspended the fight ... a little later he said "I would never have believed it: what a man !!!!" (referring to the master Kase, of course) ... In fact, he immediately had the feeling that the Master could kill him, if he wanted! Of COURSE "traditional" Karate should evolve, combining tradition with modern methods of training, etc ... BUT Karate is a MARTIAL ART, not a sport and its basic principles must be maintained !

    I don't agree ... i have all my respect to taekwondo an every kind of "martial art turned into sport" BUT i don't like it and i'm not interested in it ... look at this match ...You could hardly say that this is karate ... it could be any kind of "mixed combat sport" ... The two fighters are good, of course, very healthy and fast BUT my idea of martial art is different ... so i hope that Karate will never go to Olympic Games !!!

    I practised wado ryu karate and boxed simultaneously. Gave up karate at 29 years of age as a 3rd dan and have spent the years since in a boxing gym.
    Really there is no comparison. This is complete rubbish as all karate sparring is and the main reason I gave karate up. Its a make believe world where the practitioners believe they are taking part in real fighting in the art of self defence. Watch Tyson training on u-tube and you will observe what fighting is all about.
