That major punt was a master class lesson on: admitting/handling/facing your mistakes, apologizing as a commensurate professional, and learning from punts. 10/10 best limited content on YT
Imagine being such a skilled limited player that you subconsciously throw a game just to get matched with easier opponents. That's next-level strategy!
I don't play or particularly care about this format or the pool of cards but you're really great at explaining your plays so that even someone who didn't spend the time studying the card pool could immediately pick up the knowledge you have of what the responses your opponents could have are, which makes me feel smart despite only sitting here doing nothing lol
Thanks for posting the video. I've watched so many of your wins...it's also fun to watch the imperfect games. Enjoy your break from MTG this coming week!
For anyone else who was interested after reviewing the “punt” turn, if the opponent had decided to attack with all we would have been forced to block in a way that would leave them in a favorable position with a hornet nest, 6/6 overlord, and a 3/6 gorgon vs our 3/3 hero and 3/3 angel token and our life total at 5. We would have been forced to draw well or else they would force another double chump the following turn. For sure a complicated board state but this was the correct way for them to play it. I hope people can see the line I see without me typing it word for word but if I must I shall. Op punted then we punted then they punted. Everyone out here playing football
In the last momments of the last game? why did kenji have to compulsory rest the flier? He had lethal damage in the air even if the 1/1 blocked the 5/5 right?
I hate when people use the term "write off". In colloquial English, it sounds like you don't need to pay it, when all it means is that you don't need to pay income taxes on it. But yes that's effectively getting something like a 35% discount on gem purchases.
I think you were stream sniped in that game one.. you should hold your tounge a bit longer, it looks like you said it, stream delay and then they read it.. xD
Real reason is that Nummy never cuts content and records and shares 90%+ of all events he plays, and doesn't cherry pick his uploads. Since he uploads 1 draft/sealed a day, he can end up playing many sealed events to get to day 2, but keeps the same 1 a day upload.

when you're as 'good' as me, these things come naturally
*cough*

Punts aside, those were fun matches to watch. Congrats!
Well, game 1 certainly was a game. Double punt into reverse punt by the op. Lets see where this goes.
There was an obvious punt he called out with the blocks. What was the other punt?
The Guy of The briefcase missed using It for two turns in a row. Lol.
That rhino clear shot play made me pause the video to write this comment, blow outs that dreams are made of

Finally, evidence that Nummy is not , in fact, a bot.
Been waiting for this! Good luck!
Im excited to see the draft! Cant wait! Good luck sir!
This discuting 3:1 (not to mention the 6 life) around 40:00 would have made me quit magic, were I the OP. Nicely done.

Two games in and I am so glad you lost the first two! This is really enjoyable!
Good luck, have fun!

Are you able to write off the cost of gems as a business expense on your taxes?
absolutely

I do wonder if we ever would have seen this video if Kenji didn't qualify... Those were some punts.
I never record and throw it away, so you absolutely would get it
@@NumotTheNummyYT Fair enough. Thanks for posting!
Why are those videos so late uploaded after the arena open :(?
Because 3+ videos a day would be too much
bro got that Dad tax
Am i the only one annoyed by questions like these? When daily free content is not enough, acting like you're paying monthly subscription, funny...

So I have something to watch during the week
