Well done sir. So nice to see a review once in a while that aims to educate folks about the car, NOT prove how cool the reviewer is! I just got a 2019 SR and so far, I'm very pleased. I think it's great how Nissan broke out the packages with this car- reminds me of the old days with engine options, etc. on old GM and Ford cars. I decided I didn't need the temptation of the 188 HP turbo motor but I wanted the sport package. My SR has the sport suspension, 17-inch wheels, spoiler, 4-wheel discs... but the regular 124 HP engine. It handles very nice for a small sedan that gets 30 mpg around town. And I am 6 feet, 225 lbs and I am very comfortable. For a few extra bucks, I got one option package that added moon roof, fog lamps, heated seats...it even has Android Auto. It's a lot of bang for the buck IMHO. The CVT is much better than several older ones I have tried. This is my first Nissan and my impression is that there is a lot of attention to detail. Peace.

Absolutely agree - tired of hearing how German cars are better, when they actually are not for people who are looking for durable, pleasant to drive cars that you can keep beyond the lease / finance stage of ownership
I own a 2016 Nissan Sentra SV. Personally as I do a lot of highway driving, I wish mine was optioned with that higher powered engine, as the 1.8L engine can feel pretty heavily stressed. But it’s smooth and efficient, and that’s what counts.
I own an appearance package of this same model. I average between 28-32 Miles per gallon on the freeway. My car is gun metal gray with alloy wheels. Back up camera, and rear trunk spoiler, with the cruise and Bluetooth controls in the steering wheel. Overall, it's been a great car.
I bet the rims and spoiler give it a really great look...My mother-n-law actually bought the car at the end of the lease that's how much she liked it. Can't really blame her either. Glad to hear your happy with yours as well.**SK**

Thanks just traded a 2016 Versa, in on a 2019 Sentra S been watching videos about my newer car, very helpful. Picked mine up on 11-25- 20 very pleased with it thanks for the positive feedback.
I appreciate those comments and I hope you continue to enjoy that car. We are in the conversation now of leasing another vehicle or buying a used car as we go to hand in the Pathfinder. Working from home, and already having another SUV we own if we did lease it would prob be on the smaller side like a another Sentry, maybe Rogue, so you might just see another review on one soon!**SK**
Just bought the 2019 Nissan Sentra S... i was comparing it to the Honda Fit and Toyota Carola and the Sentra was the most comfortable for me with the most aggressive price. Im 6'3" 215lbs and the Honda Fit had my knees hitting the steering wheel and honestly i wanted to go with Honda for its namesake and reliability but i was just too tall and the price jump to the base Civic was ridiculous IMO. The Toyota was "enhh" it had more road noise inside at freeway speeds and the interior wasn't as nice as the Sentra (as if you can really call any of these base models "Nice")... being a mechanic I went with the Manual 6 speed because Nissan CVT's still have awful reliability issues. The rest of the car holds up great but the CVT is the weak link still and not cheap to rebuild/replace. My only gripes with the car so far after only about 300 miles is the arm rest is too low and far back IMO and like you mentioned the dead pedal area when your foot is off the clutch and cruising is too small for taller people with big feet. The power is plenty adequate for an economy commuter car but is by no means fast or even peppy but its a base Sentra. I was considering the Versa but the difference in build quality and then a 5spd manual compared to the Sentra 6spd manual had me go to the Sentra. The Versa is very very thin metal and just tinny sounding and feeling but for its price to just get you to work and back its a good deal but for a little more the all around quality on the Sentra was worth it. Now i just have to find a wrecked 2019 Sentra with the higher trim level than the S so i can swap the radio out.... the factory radio is actually very nice but i want navigation/apple play but don't want to go aftermarket so its something i can swap out as they get a little older and more people swap out factory units for aftermarket. Oh and it would be nice if Nissan would up their factory warranties to better compete with others like Kia/Hyundai/Honda... 3yr 36k bumper to bumper is very 20 years ago and with so many plastic components inside a hot engine bay constantly heat cycling worries me but all cars are full of plastic under the hood but most have better factory warranties. Living in the Desert where 110* is extremely common I was blown away but how much better the Air Conditioning works in Nissan's than other competitors. Toyota's AC was very pathetic and played a roll in not going with a Carola.
As guy who is 6'2', and around same 215 lbs. This is making me feel more confident going into my test drive tomorrow lol. I had a 2001 V8 F150 that is destroying my wallet with repairs and gas here in Ca at 4 dollars! Wanted to go n grab like a BRZ or FRS, but for a 2019 at like 13k with a couple thousand miles, I have no problem getting a base model sedan that has a 6 speed manual. Sounds like a great car thats reliable and hasn't been used/abused by private sellers. Plus i'll get a couple years of warranty, which is better then nothing :P
Billy Bob ya know I was looking at the BRZ also. I wanted something a little fun with good fuel but here in SoCal they are just abused and modified further than I’m comfortable with buying from the 25 and under crowd who installed sub par eBay components. I too have a full-size truck and the 160 mile round trip commute is killing me. I’m very happy now at 1,300 miles on my Sentra. Cup holder could be in a better space and another 20hp would really help but I’m averaging 34mpg mostly freeway. Sure the CVT gets better mileage but they are ticking timebombs.
I have a 2017 S. This was an excellent review and it's nice to see the upgrades. I notice the S now lacks the "Sport" function for the CVT. Did you find the steering column did not telescope out far enough?
Yeah no sport mode, but O/D def does about the same, engine is very powerful for sure. Yeah I did notice the steering wheel feels like it should be able to telescope another few inches but doesnt. But you sit so high up its not as bad being a little closer to the pedals.
Nice review! Thanks. I got my 2019 Sentra s 2 months ago and so far it is really good. I only have one concern after watching your video. Great to hear it! Perhaps I should have been more clear, its available on the Sentra but other trims. I believe you have to step up to at least the SV in order to check that option. But you can always reach out to the dealer and see if that is software you can add post purchase. @@CactusDronography683 Sounds like some bad luck, sorry to hear that. I havent been around many VWs but for any new car to have those types of issues right away is a little concerning.
@@CactusDronography683 VW's build quality and Interior are FAR superior to other entry level cars (American and Japanese) but they are stupid expensive to work on. I would never own another VW out of warranty. Even taking it to shops outside of dealers is a major pain because although they have OBDII like every other car since 1996 they really require Vagcom or VCDS to properly diagnose issues and unless its a german auto shop the extreme majority of repair facilities don't have it so they can't trigger sensors, solenoids, valves to verify functionality. Also if your going to keep the car for a long time look into a oil catch can for the PCV system otherwise you will build up tons of carbon on the valves. Check out "Humble Mechanic" here on YT for very needed VW info.

@@wendimartinez6182 no it doesn’t have that on the car at all.
does this one have apple carplay?
I don't believe so. Perhaps it was an available option on the too trim.. But I feel like it was another year or two before that rolled out for lower trim models. Thanks for watching. Be sure to Subscribe! **SK**
@@SKLIFEstyle idk cause I turn in my radio and it has “ nissan connect “ but it displays nothing so I don’t even know but the manuel says I have it
@ohwelli That's interesting. Maybe it was some kind of basic version to what's out there these days. Hope you can figure it out.
I just bought my mom a 2019 Sentra and she says the steering wheel won't go back to center after a turn and the dealer says it's normal did you encounter this?
Idk, hard to recall. Looking back at the video when I turned out of the parking lot it looks like it turns back toward center..however Idk if it goes 100% back center. Certainly didnt stay locked right though. Appreciate you watching. Please SUBSCRIBE and help me reach 1K subs! **SK**
Had a 2014,once the kid came along upgraded to a rogue.
Nice...wish I had thought to do a review on our old Rouge before we traded it in. Our first SUV.
@@SKLIFEstyle out of the factory our ac didn't work in the Sentra compressor wasn't kicking on but they fixed right away of course.I just picked up a 2019 Jetta SEL for me and I can tell it's going to possibly be a headache already between oil and transmission leaks it's getting .
Check out "Humble Mechanic" here on YT for very needed VW info.
where the sport mode
I don't think that model came with Sports mode. It does have the little button on the left side to engage overdrive mode, which is like a mini sports mode. **SK**
Had to give a like bc or Cookie Monster!
The laughing stuff animal lmao 😂
I wish it had a digital mph
I think it does, but you gotta set it up on the middle screen in between the speedometer and rpm gauges
*forgets to blurr the plate*
Also i own that car
The way I look at it I'm not conducting some illegal operation, everywhere I drive people see my plates so I don't get why online they should be some secret.
