Ok but how does the axe thing work?
@@beetrootsoup3130 a) ik this a year old shush lol.. and b) idk 100% but my guess is sprite limits since the axe is an interactive object like the other items (such as power ups, enemies, etc) and can't actually be rendered/spawned in by the game if the limit is reached. By activating the on-off switch, a couple things despawn which allows the axe and bridge to render in and thus end the level
Edit: going to reiterate that this is just a GUESS and should be taken as a suggestion, not a definitive answer

So the way the contraption works at 11:50
Is because RNG in mario maker 2 is based on what you do
If you follow the exact same path everytime, you will get the exact same results from the RNG
And since you dont go out of your way to get the one up, you follow the path that leads to the question block turning into a coin
I love how many times he speaks and gets hit with the instant karma.
Th troll with the shrooms and magikoopa happens because mm1 and mm2 share a "entity limit" mechanic:
Upon level creation, you can only place 100 enemies outside of pipes and blocks; that's "entity limit A" or "E.L.A" for short.
During gameplay, any item or enemy in fire bars, icicles, or tracks stays loaded forever, and counts towards "entity limit B" or "ELB". Once there is 100 things in ELB, no more enemies or items can spawn, until something gets unloaded. Off-screen, there was something filling ELB, like falling donuts under thwops, or tracks with munchers, and there can only exist a few more items/enemies. By activating the ? Blocks, you fill ELB to 99/100, and the mushroom you can get fills it to 100/100. If you get the mushroom, there is now a vacant "slot", and the magikoopa can spawn an enemy.
TL;DR: the game uses a mechanic where there can only be 100 things on-screen at once, so the creator filled it to 100 and made you " free" a spot by grabbing the mushroom so now the block turns into a goomba.
I suggest you look for Ceave's video on that, it was back at mm1 but still works.

the 1-up section works like this: there’s an entity limit of 100, and by collecting the 1-up you reduce the entity limit to 99, and once it’s at 99 any enemy could spawn from the block, but if not, then a coin spawns, and that’s the simplest way i could think of because i too have a pea sized brain.
Every time DGR speaks the opposite happens. I love it
At 17:26, DGR says "Run to the door", and I was so tripped out because all of a sudden Paper Mario was in front of the door. I was like 😳

That 1-Up room just looks like a case of manipulating the entity limit. Or to put it more simply, the mushrooms were taking up the space that the Goomba would have needed to spawn.

The technic to making that 1-up section is a mechanic in the game making the entity limit 100.
Which means every monster or powerups after the 100 mark will disappear

TROLLED on a Wednesday.
I got TROLLED thinking it was Saturday because of this episode which led me into thinking I time-traveled which led me into trying to stop time like Doctor Strange which led me into wasting 3 hours which led me into getting mad which led me into smashing my head on a wall which led me into going to hospital which led me into staying in a bed for hours on end. (But I should say hospital food isn't bad!) :)

12:00. I believe that is entity limit. When you eat the 1-up, it frees up 1 space in the entity limit. If not, it is rng manipulation.

It depends on how many entities there are on screen so that’s why not grabbing the one up causes a coin to appear but grabbing it results in a goomba
