That tuba is just🥺🥺 those note above the register were just so amazing. I’d love to be able to hit that high. Well played by both of you. A very beautiful piece.
Evan Dobbs Yea, the sound is just great. Though, looking at fingering, this probably is an Eb tuba, so those high notes are at upper register of instrument, not that much above. Maybe somebody could prove me wrong as I am not sure if I am right. 🙂
Hello friends, hope you are all doing well! Let me know what you think about this duet bellow and don't forget to like, share and subscribe if you enjoyed this video! Link to sheet music is in the description box bellow. See you all live on Wednesday at 3pm Eastern Time. Stay safe folks!
As a middle school tuba player, I've personally noticed that to the untrained ear in the audience you can't hear the tuba until you take it out of the band, that's how well it harmonizes.
I heard this first on the band's video. I LOVE this arrangement! And the breath/tone control is wonderful! One of the greatest renditions of this beautiful song!
I hope you are safe from what is happening in our world right now. It is really difficult trying to learn new music when you don't have the rest of the band to make sure you are doing things right. Anyways, please stay safe. 😞
I play tuba and have been for 2 years now and that tone is absolutely beautiful! I have never heard anything like this. I did a duet with my friend, and she plays tuba, but she played the euphonium part for a Christmas concert, it sounded okay but nothing like this. I might have to try this sometime! Do you have any tips for a good tone?
Dunnivan FX Eb and Bb are different Bb is normally for lower registers and Eb for upper registers. i would recommend a CC tuba if youre looking to get one and then get an F tuba later on for upper register things just my opinion. i own a CC tuba and its in my opinion better than BBb and from others opinions F is better than Eb
Hi Adriana, hard to recommend without knowing details like your age, skill level and etc. Sorry if not much of help here but i would recommend very different pieces to highschool student in comparison to university performance grad. Hope that makes sense. Best, M
as a person who's lucky to be able to try different euphoniums how do you feel about the jp374t or other 4 valve comp euphoniums? I plan on going into music for college for music and have a feeling I probably need a bit of an upgrade as of now i play on a yahama 201. or I was also looking at the wessex dolce. these are both horns i've not personally played, so I was hoping you could comment on them. I do understand if you haven't tried these ones but i was hoping you could shed some light on things I should look for.
This what happens when two masters of their instruments meld.!!!
Thank you friend!
I'm a fellow tuba ❤ loved this thx
The solo part for euph is similar to the beginning euphonium solo in "O Waly Waly"
Ro Goo thats the song they are playing
I cannot listen to this duet enough. Right to the heart, and tear ducts, guys. Superb.
I don’t have much money, but Ima save up for a lesson. 🙌
美しい・・・やっぱりEuphoniumとtubaのEnsembleは美しい。
今宵も素晴らしい演奏をありがとうございます!beautiful。bravo!

@@ItsMe-yv9vp You're not completely wrong but it's still considered on that line of the high register. Bit of a challenge for a Bb or C tuba though.
Slow melody playing. That‘s my favorite in doing (Brass) music. Heard this now four times in a row can’t get enough of it . - Thank You very much
Bee Flat i agree, slow beautiful low brass parts are absolutely amazing
God Bless you 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻❤️❤️❤️❤️
More than agree. Beautiful ❤️
Wow, just wow. This absolutely floored me. Absolutely gorgeous!!

This is a beautiful piece by two masters
Beautiful. I played this as a duet with a euphonium in high school.
wow. it’s indeed one of the nicest tuba-euphonium duet. It also really sounds like the euphonium solo in Blue-Eyed Samurai.
Hey this is from ITEC 2019, I saw this live. Great piece!
Very cool sounds. I would like to see and hear more videos with duet euphonium and tuba.🙂 This video is my favourite now.🙃🙃
I love you your vídeos, i'm so crying for this video, is excellent❤

I could fall asleep to this masterpiece
Underrated asl, this is beautiful
I heard this first on the band's video. I LOVE this arrangement! And the breath/tone control is wonderful! One of the greatest renditions of this beautiful song!
Gorgeous sounds wonderful trying to get our player to play this with me. Always mimicking Jim’s sound lush and rich
Amazing! ❤❤
Beautiful! This is one of my favorite songs to sing!
Its Amazing What Great Players Can Do To Simple Songs, AMAZING Job Matonizz Keep Up The Amazing Work!!!
This was utterly fantastic, very glad this popped up on my page
Beautiful
Such a great sound!
Whoa! this is so awesome.
👏👏👏👏 i played the song and it was great
What is this called because its simply so beautiful
The water is wide
I said the last duet was the most beautiful but I lied this one is
Wow. Just wow. (I play both of these instruments and those notes are NOT easy to hit.) GREAT JOB!
Eccezzionale👏👏👏👏👏👏
I remember this tune from the movie "The River Wild"

I’m playing this duet with my friend in a concert I play tuba!!!!!
Woah, this was in Iowa City? That's just a couple cities over from where I live
Very nice.

Clicked to get the music but the link didn't work

Fabulous job guys! What kind of euphonium are you paying this on? Nice use of alternate fingerings
Thank you friend :) It's Jupiter XO
Baritone Tc? Also awesome!!!!!!!!
Can I buy only this tunes including the piano??
It's a wonderful arrangement!!!
is there an active link to a source for the score of this duet, Pinnacle brass seems asleep at the wheel
Any suggestions Matonizz? I am asking you because you play beautiful songs
Do you happen to know what key the tuba was in?
It's an Eb
Dunnivan FX the beginning is in Db
Matonizz thank you, I have been polling what people are playing recently to see if I should continue in Bb or Eb lol
@@simonmilburn3335 People like different things. I don't really like C tubas that much and F tubas feel horrible for me. I am more of a Bb(/Eb) guy
Have you got the treble clef parts for this
I don't but it might be available in the store. Check the link :)
Matonizz ok thanks
I have a question
I have to play a solo for my class. Have any suggestions Matonizz?
Hi Adriana, hard to recommend without knowing details like your age, skill level and etc. Sorry if not much of help here but i would recommend very different pieces to highschool student in comparison to university performance grad. Hope that makes sense. Best, M
I am in highschool. My skill level is probably intermediate
Does that help in any way?
I am a freshman in highschool.
I can play 16thnotes, eighth, etc. I can't play 32nd notes yet

Hi friend, email me this question and I'll get back to you. Best, M
Amazing🤩🤩
Beautiful! I must ask tho what does the trigger do on the euphonium?
Tracy Page you mean the 4th valve? Im pretty sure its just a more in tune rather than using valves 1 and 3
@@epxdem.s1829 I ment the trigger on the front of professional horns that you press with your thumb
Tracy Page, It's a way to adjust the tuning slide while playing, similar to a kick slide on a trumpet.
I can't play 32nd notes though
major tuba w
Yes great, but the room was a bit echo-y.
And my friend said tubas couldn't be beautiful
Shes a clarinet player who thought that clarinet was the most important instrument ever
I guess no one told you that the bass can't play that high.
Yes i do
This duett was beautiful, but the piano was too quiet and the sound in general was very wishy-washy but in i love your videos
