- Discord, we need to talk about some issues on your platform. There are a few things which have annoyed both me, and others in recent months - and hopefully you can fix them. In this video, I will be talking about these three specific things - in hopes that Discord sees this RUclips video and replies to these questions on behalf of my viewers, and the Discord Reddit Community.
Firstly, Discord released Membership Screening last year as a feature to help Discord Mods / Discord Moderators combat accounts aiming to cause disruption on Discord Servers. When this was released, there were other options said to be coming soon including multiple choice, connections (such as Twitch, Twitter, RUclips and Spotify connections), short answer and long paragraph requirements. We are here over 9 months later, and we still have not got these features. Will Discord ever release them or will they sit as a mini Discord Easter Egg for people to wonder and wish to eventually come soon? Secondly, Discord has made some weird changes to their user interface (UI) over the past few months with people accidentally triggering Discord Calls with their friends on both the Mobile (Android, not iOS) application and also desktop application due to the placement of buttons and the shifting of the application when clicking on pinned messages. This has resulted in people ringing their friends, and triggering the Discord Call Sound on their friends side. Discord… why? And finally, Discord Badges have been having a weird experience for some users in recent months where the Discord Certified Moderator badge is seen to be much larger than the other badges (such as Discord Early Supporter and Discord Nitro badges) making it look weird. Alongside this, there are grammatical errors in some of the badges with lower case letters for some second words such as HypeSquad events but uppercase for others such as Discord Partnered Server Owner - it is very small but is annoying! So hopefully, Discord can fix this and we won’t have these issues as much anymore. This is supposed to be more of a Discord Meme video, and I’m trying to be funny and lighthearted so please do not take offence to this (if you are a Discord Staff member).
In the background, I am on Hypixel which is the biggest Minecraft Server in the world. I am on 1.8.9 with Badlion Client and Optifine. I PvP against my friend on Hypixel Bridge Duels and managed to secure a victory. My texture pack in the Panda Pack by Notrodan.

I’ve accidentally called people on mobile at least 100 times, but not because of the search thing. It’s so easy to misclick because of how close the call button is to the reactions. There should be a confirmation popup

Question: Why do you set such low like goals, considering you have 176K subs?
My personal pet peve on discord is the "sticker suggestions" setting ALWAYS turned on by default, if you sign out or discord, or in some cases just re-open it, sticker suggestions get re-enabled, and its hard to send a message without sending a sticker!
Another thing is quotes/replies always ping by default, people love responding to things i wrote in a quote and it always pings! It should be turned off by default, and be optional to ping

Yeah some people are annoyed at that. Personally I'm not too annoyed by pings but I know a lot of people are annoyed when they get pinged.
I’m personally still questioning why the server boost badge doesn’t track your general boosting time; if I were to transfer my oldest boost to a new server the badge will get reset.
Why??? I do not want to boost an old and archived server, nor do I want to buy another boost to compensate for the old boost I cannot transfer due to the streak. Thanks discord

PVP ADVICE: Just spamming right- and left click won't really get you anywhere. Try to block only, if you hit the enemy. Every first hit makes most damage/knockback and blocking resets that so Minecraft thinks the next hit is a first hit. So just spamming left and right click isn't working if you don't even hit the enemy once. You can also reset that by quickly "repressing" the sprint button or by pressing s.

Correction:
Every first hit of a sprint deals the most knockback and every hit after in that sprint deals less (you need toggle sprint mod on for these)
To deal the most knockback each hit you need to reset your sprint by either s tapping(dont do this to start comboes thats not good), w tapping, blockhitting, or (pls don’t do this) shift tapping

I partnered with your discord server quite a long time ago, and I thought I would just check out the announcements on my now dying server, to see what type of shit the previous admins partnered us with, and I must say although the editing quality and well, overall quality of your videos is good, what it lacks is original content. I can FEEL you milking out literally anything that discord will ever do. I feel like some of these are actual problems, but most of these are problems most would say they never encounter.

Oh I didn't even know that stuff was coming to membership screening, it's seriously not right to go to work on many new features let leave coming soon features in the dust! As for accidental calls, the placement certainly should be improved, but I haven't ended up doing that. I have accidentally called 1A3 though since my phone is really slow and laggy, and I accidentally tapped on the video call button. That was a mess! (If you see this, sorry! :) And as for the Discord certified moderator badge, I have noticed it's bigger than the rest, but one reason for that is because recently, all the badges have gotten smaller for some reason with the new user profile being announced. So either decrease the moderator badge size, or increase the size of the rest of them. Or maybe just keep it how it is, since the job of a moderator is hard, and it is an important badge and those people who have it should be recognized for their hard work! :D That is probably why it's so big tbh. Lastly, as for the capitalization of the badges, I've never noticed that before! It's really minor, but it would be nice for it to be all made the same. I think it's just because they were created a different times by possibly different people.
One thing I've noticed is a small visual bug where the check for verified bots is lower than it should be. It seems like that has been fixed in some places, but not others.
Actually lastly now, another thing I have noticed that is *extremely* annoying to me, so much so that I have submitted this as a Discord bug only for it to be denied, is that when you scroll down the server list, then click on a message or something, then click on the server list, except to the very edge, like the left edge of the server list, the server list goes to the top! That is soooo annoying for me as my server list always goes up instead of goes to the server I intend to click on. This has been a problem like forever.

discord also needs to fix the 2fa problem, you get it just to get your account protected from hackers, but if you log out you can't get back in, because of codes and i know most people don't write them down, and they don't have the "send to sms" button anymore meaning you have to create another account. Discord needs to fix alot of things.
One of the most problem everyone has on discord is image/video/file size because without nitro you can only share only 8mbs images/videos/files now discord did kinda fixed this with a compress option BUT it has been removed for some reason I wish they can just let us share stuff only 8mbs and the only way to fix this is too buy nitro and it's annoying AF!

this could be very troublesome to those who want to keep their privacy on such a level.
aaand especially when you have touch screen issues. my phone occasionally spazzes out (i can get another phone, but people who cannot afford anything other than what they currently have... this is a problem)

I agree about things u said about ui they should change it but the backend changes take time to develop and are hard process even with a team to develop sometimes in a app there sooo many thing u forget some of it I am a developer myself I don't work at discord tho, I myself think that rushing apps makes more problems and making it slower welp community says too slow like this developers are getting problem any ways they make their app slow or fast

discord also has to ban ppl who use auto join bots because recently i find my self joined to a server that i didnt join because they used auto join bots and this is very anoying so i hope they fix it and the ppl who use auto join bots gets banned same for the free nitro giveaway bots they just scam u by telling u join theese servers for free nitro and all that shit so i hope they ban them too
