Another great video. I've used the Gaggia tabs for years but they sure are expensive, is there another product that would work or must I use these? $10 for 6 tabs is up there. TIA.
Hi Sky, Using the cleaning tablets is fairly straightforward. Just put in a tablet through the ground coffee bypass doser and press to brew a longer coffee (gets more water thru machine). May want to brew and discard a couple coffees following a tablet cleaning to get residual agent rinsed out.
Hi Karen, You are welcome for the videos! Here's how to use the cleaning tablets. 1. Load a cleaning tablet in the pre-ground coffee bypass doser on top of the machine. 2. Use the Aroma/Strength button to select pre-ground coffee - it's the scoop icon. 3. Press the Espresso button. The machine will cycle as though brewing an espresso from pre-ground coffee. 4. Let the machine sit for a 2-3 minutes. 5. Repeat step 2. 6. Press the Lungo button. The machine will cycle as though brewing a lungo from pre-ground coffee. 7. Repeat step 2 and 6 until no detergent comes through spouts. Usually takes 2-4 repetitions. 8. Remove the brew unit from machine and rinse with room temp tap water at sink. 9. Shake excess water from brew unit. Allow to dry. Re-insert in machine. To make sure all detergent is out of machine brew an espresso, discard and you are done! Hope that helps. Marc
Gaggia Valesca - Should these tablets be used in the bypass coffee filter and running the Lungo cycle a couple of times. There is no degreasing mentioned in the manual for the Gaggia Valesca.

For the Gaggia Velasca prestige how would you use the cleaning table
My cleaning cycle is stuck on " fill the carafe halfway with fresh water and insert it in brewing position" ?
Hi, brewing position is with the carafe spout extended from the handle to over where a cup would be.
I have a Gaggia Brera and I'm not sure how I can use these tablets on this machine.
Is there a "how to" for Gaggia Brera tablet cleaning?
