@@runners0000 Jason killed it with his demo too. He definitely showcased the super heavy side of the La BRUJA. In the end, it’s all in the fingers of the player.
Very interesting designs and color choices. I like it. Something besides the ubiquitous burst finishes is nice to see. Gold foil pickups are always sexy! ❤
Beautiful guitar. Nice nod to the Ibanez Iceman. Those gold foil pups sound better than I expected. Still love your green tele better. Excellent demo and playing as usual. Keep rocking, Mr. Andy.
Really liking some of these, the Brave Ulysses in particular. It’s kind of a stripped down thing BFG might play. Might have to snag one of these. Something different. 🤟🏻
Unfortunately we have had to raise our prices. This is the first time we have done so since launching in 2013. It was something we held off doing for a long time. Over the last few years everything from materials, labor, and shipping has risen drastically. We have also been an online retailer since our inception but now we plan to start reaching out to shops and we have to factor in dealer margins etc and therefore we just couldn’t keep our prices where they were. With regards to Indonesia as the point of manufacturing the build quality at our factory rivals anything coming out of South Korea, China and even the USA (Gibson?). A quality guitar can be built anywhere today. It’s a CNC machine, wether it’s in Indonesia, Poland, USA, France etc … it comes down to the quality of wood, components and pride in workmanship. My goal hasn’t changed since I started PureSalem. I want to offer the best quality guitar possible at an affordable price. Our guitars are road tested and artist approved. We have some really cool bands playing our guitars in the studio and on tour. In the end the decision to raise our prices was not an easy one. It all came down to the current state of the world. EVERYTHING cost wise has gone up. PureSalem is a small family affair and I hope you like what we are doing. I can tell you that our hearts are in the right place.
@@puresalemguitars9947 this is a great response. It's weird that people still obsess over where the guitar was built. What matters is the quality. One time I bought a US made guitar from a local luthier. I figured oh man, US made, must be great. I was wrong. The fretwork was so bad I had to pay $200 to get it fixed.
Strandberg guitars are also built in Indonesia, I purchased one and it was something like 1700€. I did not feel that it was too expensive at all ehen compared to other U.S. or Japan made guitars. Quality is on par with the finest instruments I have played. The world is changing and people need to let go of their prejudices.
And you're not surprised that all these $1500 Epiphones are made in China?!? As an owner of a Pure Salem and ex-owner of many epiphones throughout the years Pure Salems are super high quality for the price. They could easily be priced higher...
I love the look but more important the PU's are killer. They aren't gold Foil PU's I have a Harmony original S style in an 54 Airline and the construction is different and so is the sound. on the other hand I highly suspect these are over sized Firebird PU's It explains the chime they have while still being HB. It also explains no need for adjustable screws so why not use foil instead of a solid top. My ear says they are fuller than a PAF. Different without being focused on a narrow genre. I can not find any lint to pick. I could not see myself thing I love it but I would change the ....
Great playing. If you are gonna rock gold on a guitar, you have to commit. You gotta follow through with gold hardware elsewhere. If you don't, it ends up looking like a second hand guitar that's had a mismatching pickup swap.
I couldn't disagree more. I have this guitar in Metallic Green and I wouldn't like the look if it had gold hardware. The gold pickups pop because there's no other gold to take away from them IMO... but to each their own.
@drewtunes Im reading this thread 8 months later since you responded, and Im kind of liking the look now. I think gold-foils get a pass in any scenario ... they wouldnt look right if they weren't gold.
I was waiting for the heavy DOOM riffs.

Andy, thanks for all the demos over the years. Especially scoping out points about each device or instrument. Cheers.

Wow!! That pink guitar is sweeeet!🤩 Sounds amazing!
Great sounding pickups
Very groovy guitar! Thank you Andy, you’re the GOAT.
That’s a great look and tones are right on. A nice deviation from the norm. Headstock is gorgeous.
glad you like it ! Thanks for the kind words !!!
Great demo as always Andy!
Nice demo. I have a Tru-Fi as well. Fun pedals.
Slickkk! Reminds me of a guitar prince would play
We’ll take that!
I cant wait for mine to get here 😢! Maybe june!? July?

I feel like this would be a good aesthetic match for big 80's hair and spandex.
Is the close-up guitar cam from the left a new acquisition? I don't know if I've seen you use that before. I like it!
Thanks! It’s the same cam I use for pedal-view, just repositioned for guitar demos😉
Are those Malinofsky 13 gold foils ?
just a little surprised that a made in Indonesia guitar is $1,140

Do they make a bass?!?
Yes, not in this shape but they got some great basses on the Pre-order tab of their site!

It's not "hardware" per se, they are Gold Foil pickups. It looks better on the black guitar.
I find that most guitars with Gold Foils (even Teisco) have regular old chrome hardware.

RDish with a cooler headstock shape
Very Gibsonish design
