The Drew Brees hate is real out here. I knew Drew Brees was underrated, but I am constantly amazed at how little respect Drew Brees gets from these NFL analysts. I mean really, Drew Brees looks like he throws the ball like your accountant? WTF does that even mean? Is he throwing footballs around with his accountant?
Drew Brees is barely 6 ft, doesn't have a huge arm, isn't fast, tears his acl in highschool, shreds his shoulder a few years into his pro career, goes to a broken city, plays for a team with no defense, plays with no pro bowl receivers(until Mike Thomas), has to deal with the bounty scandal, and plays in arguably the best division in football over the last few years. Through all this he has: most records for current quarterbacks, most yards, completion %, etc., leads the career matchup vs Brady, won a super bowl against Peyton, and has not fallen off at 39 yrs old. How on this earth does he not deserve a top 5 with rings, top 3 in individual career/talent. I say For talent its Rodgers, Brees, Manning, Brady. Overall he is the GOAT though because he is the realest guy in the league and wears wrangler jeans.
Although I don’t completely disagree with u, it sounds like you’ve only been watching football for ten years. All top four talent wise for you is guys who have played in the last decade

@Johnny Doeboy He's short and doesn't have a big arm. He has to stand on his tippy toes to look over the oline. How in the hell did he survive in the NFL? All the while looking after that defense who screwed him over yearly. You have to have some form of talent to manage. Come on man, you need to ask these questions.
@@thexman6138 as far as talent nah but most ppl go off stats and when it's all said and done Brees is gonna lead the NFL in almost every passing category
@@kyotoandsunchips8585 brees has been in the league for 18 seasons the new rules that's in the nfl now are recent he played when they weren't as strict when brees first started
I just don't get it... 5 5k yard seasons out of the 9 in the NFL total. No other QB to accomplish this has more than 1. He’s never thrown under 4300 yards as a Saint. Meh… 5 seasons with 70% or over completion rate out of the 10 total in NFL history. Again… no other QB has more than one season above 70%. Considering the number of passes he throws(a stat he’s often rebuked for, as seen above), this is actually pretty ridiculous. The most accurate QB in history that also throws the most??? Meh… Career completions (6,344) Most seasons leading the NFL in passing yards (7) Most career 400-yard passing games (16) Most career 300-yard passing games (111) Total completions in a season (471 in 2016) Touchdown passes in a single game (tied for first with 7) Consecutive games with a touchdown pass (54) Consecutive games with 300 passing yards (9, twice) Most seasons leading the league in passing (7) On top of all this, he now has the season yardage record and he reached that number in like 13 less games than it took Manning. Meh… Then people will turn to the ring argument, which is clearly a logical fallacy as a SuperBowl win is a team effort. This is clearly evidenced by the number of mediocre or even terrible QB’s to win one or more Super Bowls - Terry Bradshaw, Eli Manning, Brad Johnson, Joe Flacco, Jim McMahon, Doug Williams… Also, for some reason, no other position’s talent level is judged by the number of rings they have. Ladanian Tomlinson, Barry Sanders, Dick Butkus, Junior Seau, Antonio Gates, Adrian Peterson, Chris Doleman - no rings, yet no one writes them off or even considers the number of rings they have when discussing the greatest players at those positions. Do you think the fact that Viniteiri has 4 rings ever comes up in a kicker conversation? So why is that a standard by which to judge quarterbacks? The Saints under Drew Brees have never suffered worse than a 7-9 season even when consistently fielding the worst defenses in the league and rarely had the benefit of 6 guaranteed wins and an automatic playoff birth by way of an absolutely terrible division since 2002. So yes… of course his post season stats aren’t as robust as Rothlisberger or Brady, but that’s just as nonsensical as judging him for only having one ring. He can’t have playoff stats unless his TEAM makes it to playoffs. Drew Brees is one of the greatest to ever play the game, and if you don’t see that or if you’re going to lean on indoor/outdoor stats or SB rings to write him off, you’re just a troll or hack like Max.
I agree when it comes down to the ring argument, but Brees is not top 5, 10 top yes the the rules in place right now help QB put up better number than they would have 20, 30 year ago.
@@cesarcastrojr4903 those SAME rules applied to Rodgers, Brady, and Manning, so why, again, is Brees not considered as good if not better than those three when he's clearly better in many statistical categories? It's ridiculous.
I think Brady's overrated, and I don't think Rogers is top five, but Manning could read a defense better than anyone, he changed what you expected from your QB, he also missed a year or two with that neck injury. And just because you have better stats doesn't mean you're better.

@jackcasse - QBs are judged a lot on rings because they are the only position that has the ball in their hands on every single offensive play and hence are most responsible for success/failures of the team. Also Brady, Manning, and Rodgers are considered above Brees because they are all multi-time MVPs while Brees has 0.
Drew Brees not a top 5 QB?! by the time this dude retires he is gonna have the record by 10k yrds, broken the current TD record by at least 30 TD's, most consecutive games with a TD pass, most completions, career completion percentage, and the list goes on and on and on...the only thing you can say about Drew Brees is he only has 1 Super Bowl, but when it comes to doing what a QB is supposed to do he is hands down the best that has ever done it.
Richard Martin lmao “hands down the best to have ever done it” except that opinion is held by .0000000001% of the population and I’d say 99% of them are Saints fans. Nice try though. Great QB, top 15 without question, probably even top 10 without question. Best ever? Joke. Top 5? Joke.
1 SB no MVPs which hopefully changes this season I got him top 4... 1. Brady 2.Manning 3.Rodgers 4.Brees only bc he has no MVPs that's an accolades in order to rank players they have to have accolades
Ryan Lutz What’s the top 5? Tom Brady had some of the best receivers of ALL TIME. Aaron Rodgers has some INSANE receivers. Drew has had ONE Pro bowl Reciever his WHOLE Career. Didn’t Drew Brees our throw Peyton Manning in the Super Bowl. Not to mention he’s Better than Brett Farve and Peyton. He’s a QB and he’s breaking QB records. Idc about the rest of the team. Bree’s is better than Rodgers he’s the second best of this Era. I personally can consider Brees better than Brady but I’ll let it slide even though Brady has the best Coach of All time.
This was beyond disrespectful. It's disrespectful to even debate if he's Top 5, let alone the bullshit Max was on. And why does Brees playing in a dome matter? I won't bring up the fact that he's 5'11 if you don't bring up him playing in a dome. Those cancel out. Also, didn't Peyton play in a dome too? Didn't Brees come back from a SHOULDER surgery? Didn't he beat Peyton heads up in a Super Bowl?
Trey Sarver the dome is a big deal. It’s perfect conditions guaranteed at least 8 games a year for him. I would love to see Rodgers and Brady play 8 home Dome games a year. It’s makes passing easier.
Reese B, it isnt pity is actually impressive. Vick, Tarkenton, Flutie, now Wilson and Mayfield are short but they could run or extend plays. Brees is a proto typical pocket QB that has great awareness and has always had a great completion %.
Brees is arguably the best "throwing" passer of all time. What I mean by that is the technical skill of throwing a football - how it moves through the air and the accuracy of the ball going where the quarterback intends for it to go. It is a thing of beauty to watch Brees' throwing motion and how the ball moves to its target. The only other quarterback I've ever watched who equally had such a beautiful throw was Joe Willie.
and isn’t that the MAIN PURPOSE OF THE QB POSITION!! the most accurate qb in history let alone leading passer isn’t the best in history??? Have they seen the passes his thrown??? They are always in the perfect place to be caught
Did Max just say he had a “injury free” career? Doctors said theirs a high chance he won’t be able to throw again after that shoulder injury. Then saying he’s not top 5 or 10, & that Farve & Warren Moon are better? Wow 🤦🏾♂️
Qdizz they were wrong. His injury wasn’t as severe as originally thoughht. Happens all the time. He lost no real velocity and his game didn’t change. He has a injury free career. Compare him to manning who we clearly seen his body fail even while he was throwing 40tds a year
Yeah as a pats fan max is a moron, he shits on brady and brees to up Rodgers, brees is top 5 no debate, and in my book he’s a top 3 qb, and has an argument for being the goat. My list rn is 1. Brady 2. Montana 3. Brees 4. Peyton 5. Marino
Max what have you been smoking. Jim Kelly and Troy Aikman over Drew Brees? No disrespect to those two legends, but Drew is much more talented than both of them.
Bic Mitchum I agree with you, tho it’s drew has accomplished more, not he is more talented. Rodgers is more talented than Brady and Brees but rank lower than both
For real. Aikman never passed for 3500 yards in a season. Drew brees went for 5000 5 times. Lol. Aikman never passed for 25 TDs brees went over 30 9 times. What a joke to compare aikman to brees
WTF!! Drew Brees is definitely top 10 and I'm thinking more like 5 or 6. He has carried the city of New Orleans on his back with multiple coordinators and no defense!
There are three quarterbacks “he played with” who are better with no debating. Manning, Brady, and Rodgers. You’re telling me he’s better than those three? And those are just his contemporaries....
Stop with Rogers please stop he will never ever sniff brees accolades with or without done or receiver or defense or infinite gauntlet or a joint etc.... he is good but cmonnnn ppl are making him a god 🤦♂️🤦♂️ all he does is complain throw ppl under the bus and media makes has much of not more excuses for him then LBJ 🤣🤣😂. Ppl most think it’s easy to win a SB + several 5k pass years + all time pass yard + his accuracy it’s insane ppl are actually dumbing down his feats to bolster their guy ( the media ) brees better then Marino he broke his record won a SB that’s it case close. I would put Brady Montana Payton brees in no particular order and the rest. None of any an will come close to those record for the next 20 years GUARANTEE . And all are in a era of I can’t sneeze on a QB. It’s always about he plays in a dome or pats in afc or bla bla bla you still have to go out and win and I don’t see ppl doing it or perform like him or them . That’s my take
King DEUCE you are so wrong. Brees isn’t eve a top 20 QB. He’s only been to one super bowl. Eli Manning and Big Ben have been to more than him. He’s not even better than Matt Ryan cuz ryan and brees went to the same amount of Super Bowls, and Ryan won MVP in 2016. Brees=top 25 QB
I don't like the GOAT debates, because there are too many variables. You can argue that Montana, Favre, Brees, or whoever else is the GOAT. What if Brady had Brees's stats? Would he have even more super bowl wins? What if Brees played with Belichick? Would he have as many rings as Brady? More? I like playing the "what if?" game, but I don't believe it's really ever fair to label someone as the GOAT with so many "what if?" factors. Brady has always had a top tier defence. Brees has virtually NEVER had a top tier defence. Brady has had around 15 pro bowl wide receivers/tight ends. Brees had like 2. Every team has been caught in scandals, and has been caught cheating, but what if Brees reaped the same benefits of cheating as Brady and the Pats? Brees had also played one year less than Brady ( and almost 2 years less of you account for injuries). I'm not saying Brees is better than Brady, or even the opposite; I'm just saying that the GOAT argument is never black and white.
Just because an artist wins a Grammy doesn't mean their music is actually good... I'm not a Saints fan, but Brees is the best quarterback I've witnessed. His accuracy, his dedication to the game, his consistency with a revolving door of receivers...that's the real one that proves it there! He CONSISTENTLY puts up the same numbers/stats/yards with different receivers, most of which aren't pro-bowlers! This video is why I hate the sports analyst industry: it's all talk with no actual analyzing! It's all talk with no show!
The_Evergrey_Toa Drew Brees never had a Pro-Bowl WR until Michael Thomas in 2017. That being said, Marques Colston was as underrated as Drew his entire career. Colston definitely deserved to be a Pro Bowler multiple times.
thats why people consider him the best is because he doesn't get his credit? yeaaa right.. He's a good QB but he has gotten a good team year after year. He has great WRs every year. Basically he gets everything on a silver platter. Not taking away from his actual game but he is VERY overrated. (Brady)
@@zakaryneumann660 it's true. Ppl always do that shit to Brady. They can't accept greatness in the moment. Instead of enjoying his greatness they hate because their team gets beat by him. Like "have to cheat to win" "he's only good because of his system" "anyone could win win his team" people just need to get over the fact that he's a good player
Damn, I was literally about to say that anyone who puts Drew Brees in the top 5 is a naïve fanboy and hasn't watched enough football. lol. He's top 10 for sure, but half of his career has been losing seasons. He has never won an MVP, he only has one ring, and let's not get it twisted he isn't the all time leader in passing yards because your not counting playoffs, which separates the greats from the all time greats. 1. Tom Brady 2. Joe Montana 3. Peyton Manning 4. Johnny Unitas 5. John Elway (or Dan Marino)
Elway is not better than Brees lol and Aikman is nowhere close if anything Aikman is a questionable top 10 of all time QB Aikman had LEGENDARY HOF teams filled with stars and Elway couldn't win the big game for most of his career until the very end lol Brees has been consistently great on the Saints and is the most accurate passer of all time Bree's is 4th or 5th on the QB List
I love him but he doesn't take advantage of this passing era designed to score points,I'd have loved to see the prior generational quarterbacks under these rules
The arguments against Drew Brees are nonsensical. So let me get this straight. He played in the same era as Tom Brady and Peyton Manning and put up better numbers, but that's a knock against him? If what Drew did was a direct product of the era, then why doesnt everyone else have at least 5 5000 yard passing seasons? The only reason for the seemingly overwhelming disrespect of Drew brees around the sports community is due to simple aesthetics and a couple of superficial attributes in the grand scheme of things. He can't throw the ball the hardest, he can't run the fastest, he's not the tallest, or the strongest. Any person who actually has the ability to think would be able to come to the conclusion that the fact that Drew Brees has none of these attributes or aesthetics, and was still able to accomplish what he has accomplished, would be able to realize that he actually deserves more credit. Top 5 Qb of all time, and if we lived in a world where people were able to realize that superbowls are won by teams, then he's my number one. Played in new Orleans for over a decade and never had a Bill Belichick level defense. Also only had 3 incompletions last night and almost threw for 400 yards...Haters will hate though.
Brees playing 9 games a year in a dome has merit to making it easier to pass. Even Carson Palmer said after he retired, the most impressive thing about Brady was his play in inclement weather. Also, without having a defense almost every, it's leads to having to throw a lot when playing catchup football and much easier to accumulate those stats, especially yards. Along with that, until last year, the offense was very pass heavy. Brees (7.60) actually has similar yards per attempt as Peyton Manning (7.67) and Tom Brady (7.50), but he's just thrown for 100 more passes than Manning and 500 more passes than Brady. Brees has played for 3 less games than Brady and 11 less than Manning and has thrown that many extra passes already, attributed to playing from behind due to a bad defense. His completion percentage is obviously impressive being the best of all time, but he also has a lot of interceptions (catchup football plays a factor into that too).Considering that Brady also started in the early 2000s, I'd say Brady's 3.01 TD/Int ratio is ridiculous. Brees still has a very good 2.19 TD/Int ratio. I agree Superbowls probably carry way too much weight in the greatest of all time argument, but they still need to be considered if it's at a difference between having 3-5 and 1. So, I would disagree that Drew Brees is the greatest QB of all time and I'd argue at least in this era, Brady and Manning have been the 1-2, to Brees' 3. Having said all that, he's a top 5-7 QB of all time for his whole career, just not the greatest of all time.
@@Jpgoeagles What? Why dont you google each players stats and then come back to me and make an argument that at least has substance. Not once did I mention passing yards as the smoking gun for my argument.

As a Falcons fan, I cant even tell you how absurd ryan clarks comments are. No man has instilled more fear into me with the ball coming out of their hand than Drew Brees.
Every time falcons play saints its whether we can match thier offense. Because they will move the ball. Other legends qbs have stagnant games brees never seemed to have those games
The fact that people refuse to admit that drew breea is top 5 all time is rediculous and ignorant. Just look at the change the man brought to new orleans as an orginisation and add that to what hes done in the league...TO the league. You dont break major all time records by being a mediocre QB... Fact check on the individual stats and tell me how even Brady the "g.o.a.t" is better....good luck coming back with a solid argument. Teams wins Super bowls. Individuals break records
Is might be the dumbest thing I've ever heard. Drew Brees the most passing yards. Did it the fastest with the highest percentage had no defense but since he's inside he's not as good?
I'd argue if Brees had stayed with the Chargers he would have got them to the Super Bowl. Rivers was never on the same level. I'd also take Brees over Elway.
@Skoldier 19 Vikings You watched Drew dismantle that vaunted Vikes D in the second half of that playoff game in 2018...and you STILL think that? My guy went 17/22 for 177 yards and 3 TDs. You're probably still waking up in a cold sweat from that Kamara fade late in the 4th.
Harv J Did Drew Brees give up that miracle walk-off play? I wasn’t aware he played defense. That loss ain’t on Drew’s shoulders. Did you even watch the game? That frozen rope to Snead on 4th & 10 to put them in FG position? God-like. Your inability to focus on what matters for Drew from that game or contextualize information is exactly why he’ll always be under-appreciated and slighted. ESPN tells people Brady or Rodgers is the GOAT and they go on thinking it, then they shit talk Drew Brees while having actually watched maybe 10% of his games.
There is a reason Aaron Rodgers was looked at as the best qb or second best since he started because he was. How is brees better then favre or Rodgers? Brett was the best qb of the 90s has 3 mvps and when he retired he had all the records. Rodgers has 2 mvps and should have had 3
They're saying these other guys have more talent yet he's done better than them... I have problems with all of their arguments. No real factual evidence behind anything they're saying at all. With all the records he's set and the adversity he's had to surpass with being an undersized quarterback, a shoulder injury, and putting an entire city on his back when needed most there is no reason his name isn't mentioned in the best of all time discussions. He's the most underrated player of all time if you want to real
Ben Harrison they do have more talent that’s why he’s never won an mvp. The accomplishments is great but when you’re a good player and play long enough you’ll set records.
@@tomstorm7926 the dude has more 5000 yard seasons than all the other QBs who have done so combined. Why is he less talented than the guys who he out performs yards, points and accuracy wise?
The only knock on Drew’s career is that he only has 1 super bowl but keep in mind in that super he did beat out another best qb of all time in Peyton Manning
Warren Moon is in the hall of fame of two different professional leagues. Despite dealing with racial prejudice causing him to go UNDRAFTED. Played into his mid 40’s. He may not be as good as Brees, but don’t be disrespecting him.
I'm a cowboys fan and the only thing that hurts is watching that offense week in and week out. Brees being a pocket passers does not render him immobile facts. And max made it a negative Brees playing Indoors so my point was that it should be a negative for Manning as well. let's stick to the facts pls
how is payton manning better than brees? drew brees beat manning in a superbowl and broke all of his records how is brees not atleast better than manning?
So Brees will essentially be penalized for being a smarter more accurate QB than anyone else to play. Because 72% pass completion is more boring than 300+ interceptions. Got it.
Drew Brees is currently second in the NFL for yards per pass attempt. He is in the top 20 all time at 7.6, just .3 YPPA behind Aaron Rodgers and just .4 YPPA behind Steve Young ( who is the highest Yards per pass attempt QB in the Superbowl era). Only three QBs have higher YPPA than Steve Young and they played in pre SuperBowl era. So, no, he doesn't have a low yards per pass attempt historically.
I'm hoping that he and Brady get to meet this year in the SB so Drew can beat him and then when the arguments are made we Saints fans can point to the fact that he beat all of the so called "best" QBs of his era when it mattered most. He needs to go through Rodgers in the playoffs this year too. Knock em all down Drew! 😂
so Drew Brees has won a SB, he is no.1 in passing yards and about to have 500 TDs thrown which will be top 5 all time (only Brady, Farve and Manning have 500 or more) and he's not a top 5 QB all time??? What more does he have to do?

This fucking clown said Drew Brees is nothing special. His own fucking career is nothing special. He's nothing special at what he does now and shouldn't even have a job. Fucking CTE taking over his brain. Fuck outta with that bs.
So, how do they put Aaron Rodgers over Brees? If, they're going by championships they both have one, but Brees has almost every record, while Rodgers not so much. Then they always give Rodgers the excuse that he doesn't have a defense, no run game, and etc. Brees has the same problems for most of his career, but he puts up better stats that Rodgers, but they overlook it. Brees has played in tougher divisions that Rodgers, Manning, and so naturally it's harder for him to go to the playoffs while Brady and Manning had to almost no challengers. It's completely disrespectful on how they overlook, under value, and sometimes try to diminish Brees career where he should at least top 3 of best qbs of all time
Yeah that’s true man, but with more passes you’ll think he would have more incompletes, but instead he beat the record for most completions by the he already held, and this season he’s like 80%
so you're telling me a man that is 5'10 who can barely see over his guys throws an accurate ball it's nothing special? but when a guy who is 6'2 or 6'5 throws it, it's somehow like whoa he has talent??? doesn't it take talent to be undersized and play at a high level and make accurate throws when you can barely see the whole field cuz of your height??? im sorry but max and klark mad disrespected drew brees. that's an insult. Drew brees is 5'10 and was able to throw the most yards in NFL history and has over 500 career passing touchdowns joining brady manning and favre. and thats not impressive? and thats not noteable? and at his 18th year he's playing like he's in his prime??? How many qbs can you name that can zip the ball in tight windows and spots like brees???? i guess for max and klark being accurate and precise is not a talent or good enough thing to have. Drew brees is so undersized and he's been able to achieve the biggest things in football. talk about david vs goliath man. Im not even a saints fan, but i understand and respect and know greatness when we see one. Drew brees is easily top 5, and up for debate as the best qb ever. I just dont understand how you dont think brees has special talent like rodgers or somebody. rodgers is special, but so is brees lol. rodgers can actually see over his guys too while brees has a tougher time. And brees is by FAR better than brett favre. that's seriously not up for debate. It's just sad to see people disrespect a legend like this. like I said, an undersized guy who can barely see over his guys has the most passing yards, top 4 in passing tds, highest completion percentage and completions, super champion, conditioned his body and everything. easily top 5 all time. Peyton manning also played in a dome for most of his career, and won 1 sbl and the other was carried by a defense. smh the disrespect here. #cmonman

aaron rodgers has only missed time in 2 seasons in his career, 7 games in 2013, 9 games 2017. played every other game in his career. same amount of time as brady and manning missing 16
That's not a great analogy. It would be more accurate if you said Aaron Rodgers / Barry Sanders and Peyton Manning / E. Smith... Aaron Rodgers and Barry Sanders both pass the eye test right away. Both are the archetype create a character player where Manning / Smith are less gifted but consistent.
Call me a Brett hater but....all time leader in interceptions. Drew isn't and he threw more touchdowns and completed more of his passes and won as many superbowls...Brett Favre was flashier but I mean c'mon...
I'm taking Drew over Aaron everyday of the week simply because of leadership. Drew has taken the historically WORST defenses of all time to multiple 7 win seasons. If he had a defense that could consistently be top 15, he'd have AT LEAST 3 rings. The Minnesota miracle wasn't anything new to Saints fans. It was the same old thing that always happens to Drew. He leads the team to a spectacular comeback, puts up points, and guess what.... the damn defense CAN'T GET A STOP. It's not his fault and he's easily a top 3 QB of all time. He'll get MVP this season.
Drew just needs to win more Superbowls to shut up all these Haters!!! Period!!! I hope he does a dynasty starting this year!!! Because the level of disrespect for such a great person on and off the field ain’t never been higher! You can’t find a bad adjective to describe Drew. And in the era of where good/decent people are far and nowhere to find he deserves better respect ✊!!
At least it wasn't as stupid as what Max said about Brees not even being top 10. He said Aikman was better than Brees and started talking about Aikman's accuracy. Brees holds the career and single season completion percentage record.
Well I'm 36 and basically watched Favre his whole career and I've always thought he was overrated. Yea he played in bad weather ok fine. But it's funny that Manning got this stigma for coming up small in the playoffs when Favre was just as bad for alot of seasons. He was a media darling too hence those 3 MVP's. One of those seasons he shared it with Barry Sanders who ran for 2000 yards! He always got this "gunslinger" monikor no matter how many terrible interceptions he'd throw. Just the biased towards was pretty disgusting not to mention the drama queen he became at the end of his career. I actually felt bad for Aaron Rodgers having to deal with his nonsense when he got to Green Bay.
Were the facts with Max and Ryan's arguments. They cant give you any! I have never seen someone judge a QBs play by how the look. When it comes to how they play on the field. They have lost all credibility when it comes to me. Get these guys off the air!
Dustin Lowery totally agree... just pulling shit out of their asses trying to get views ... I feel disrespected by how bad they disrespected brees.. fuck em

AFC Super Bowl QBs over the last 15 years have been Big Ben, Brady, Manning, *Flacco (*one appearance)😬 NFC has had 12 Super Bowl QBs in that span. Brady’s backups also went 11-5 & 3-1 during his absence 🤔 Tom’s also played with All Pros/future HOF’s such as Welker, Moss, R.Harrison, Seau, Wilfork, Seymour, Ochocinco, R. Wayne, T. Cooks, Ninkovich, M.Bennett, Edelman, J. Gordon, etc... The AFC is far less competitive. Over the last two decades the Bills, Dolphins, Jets, Jags (pre-‘17), Texans, Titans, Browns, Bengals, Raiders have all been far less competitive, making the AFC an easier path for players like Tom, Ben, & Peyton to succeed deep into the playoffs. I could just list NFC accomplishments but instead here’s a look at just the NFC SOUTH ..... If that doesn't open their eyes, they are bias, haters, and clearly has something against New Orleans are Drew. Drew Brees is the GREATEST HANDS DOWN 🐐💯
Theres one critical factor everyone is ignoring on here. Favre played for the Packers. Brees played for the Saints. That means a lot. When Favre came along, he was like some kind of Messiah. He brought the Green Bay Packers back to relevance. the original Super Bowl champions. He did what no one has ever been able to do for the Browns. He resurrected a long dead legendary franchise from the grave and took them all the way to get the long denied #3, and even back to the next SB. Although they lost that one, thats still 2 appearances in a row, just like the Packers of old. So theres a lot of romanticism attached to Brett Favre. Hes more beloved than other guys that probly ARE better. But he just means more to more people. Brees was an amazing player and has the numbers to prove it. But to be honest, playing most of your career with the Saints isnt going to do much with getting you more exposure in people's minds.
@@basketballenlightenment2863 I'm 34 not 64 😂. I only listed those I've seen play. Some of y'all fans put players in y'all list that played way before y'all times and I don't get that. But too each it's own

To not say Drew is not the GOAT after being on the Top of every statistical category with the team that he's had (and I'm a saints fan) is absolutely ridiculous there has been no one to throw the ball the way Drew has to hold his teams loses against him is crazy
Keep disrespecting Drew Brees y’all gonna get these hands. Drew did more with less than any qb in history. All the rest of the all time great qbs has had systems of defensive minded head coaches.
TatoeTooTrill who gives a shit about his height, and with the amount of times he throws the football he should have that high of a completion percentage. He's an amazing quarterback and for me he's top ten. But the era is different.

Max is right and he proved it with facts whereas Stephen A just bloviated some nonsense. Dispute any of the names Max raised as better QB's than Drew Brees.
I think Ryan Clarke has it ass backwards honestly. Drew Brees can spin that long ball tighter than anyone I've ever seen do it. His throws down field are the best I've ever seen. And I'm a Patriots and Tom Brady fan. Brees might be the best thrower of the ball (in perfect conditions) in the league
Well Brees is the most accurate Quarterback of all time but Rodgers wrist game is to deadly to ignore and it's like his ball is so sharp it look like he could rip through reality and he's more light on his feet....Now Brees Mechanics are better but I can say he's a more Talent thrower than Rodgers,Elway,Marino,George.
The bountygate scandal was part of a practice that had happened in the league before. They're both cheating, but Brees didn't benefit from knowing the defensive play calls. However, injured players on the offense means less potential to score and put pressure on Brees to score.
bruce lee But the reality is that Brady has always had a better team than Brees. I’m pretty cut on who I think is a better individual qb because each case is vastly different. Like you can be the best Rb ever, but if you get no blocking you don’t have a shot.
@@macsleaze8183 the only thing that Favre might have over Brees is durability. Accuracy, smart qb decisions, and being able to lead your team to a W transcends era. Don't get me wrong, Favre can/did lead his team to victories but he also cost them a few games because of his poor decisions...
Brett is better than Drew it isn't even close. You say he only has Brees in Durability because he lost them to many games. He actually won more big games than Brees has and has accomplished more. It isn't even close Brett is better
So if you end your career leading in multiple statistical categories of your position you’re barely top 10? What. Brees is the most accurate qb of all time. Can make any throw. He’s clutch. The disrespect. Brees has been top 5-8 for years now. He didn't have to break anymore records to be in there 🤦 I don't understand why they just starting to say this
LMFAO, some of you people talk about winning and losing seasons, and Superbowl rings as if the QB is the only one on the field. That is insane. When Payton Manning won his last SB he could barely throw 10 yards. Brees never had a top 5 Defense or even top 10. And until last year with Michael Thomas, he never had a pro-bowl receiver. How many players Drew threw to that went on to other teams had stellar careers? Jimmy Graham? no, Reggie Bush? no, Robert Meachem? no, Lance Moore? no Anyone? Drew made them all better than then were. So, it comes down to stats and stats alone. Yes he put up a lot of garbage yards because of garbage D. But look at the percentage in the way he did it. Especially when everyone on the other side of the ball knew it was coming. And still could not stop him. His preparation is second to none. Drew Brees is the GOAT.

I put him over tom brady. the dude consistently produces year after year and is the all-time passing yards OVER peyton manning. yes, tom brang in the lombardies, drew came into the league with a broken everything, short frame, and weak arm. drew saved a FRANCHISE.
Really didn't understand what he meant by that either.. Everything you measure a QB in Brees is #1 or pretty close. Except in height but that doesn't seem to be a factor for these "experts"
Drew achieved elite stats in all QB columns. At one point he had all passing records, in an era where you had the Brady's, Mannings, Rodgers and that one person can't look at Drew in that same league because he looks like an accountant? 😆 Drew was not only accurate, but he was a game manager. Many defenses that played against him said he gave them fits because he could tell what they were calling and made the correct adjustments to deal with them.
He played good out side in San Diego... Remember chargers gave up on him to soon got Phillip Rivers & then he balled out keeping Rivers on the bench till he hurt his shoulder... Not to mention he played for Purdue (outside)
6:12 lol, that's my reaction the entire time Ryan Clark was talking. Aaron Rodgers looks better? Huh? Does not the fact that Brees doesn't have the usual measurables make him a greater quarterback?
Great point, the fact that he may not be as tall or talented and still manages to do what he does is in fact greater. Not to say he’s better than Rogers but his point made no sense and didn’t serve his argument. Brees top 5.
His physical disadvantage aside. Most of those older QB's they listed never had to play against this generation of defensive players. They are all better, faster, and stronger these days and Brees still picks them apart like no other
YungTrappaCST Rodgers don’t have a good wr core. He makes his wrs look good. That is why when they leave the suck. An give Rodgers brees headcoach an see how good his stats are lmao

His accountant must be a hell of a football player.

no MVP award for his greatest season he produced in 2011, nor every year he has ever played.
@T. Dougs as a long time dallas fan, drew was robbed of his 2011 MVP.

5 5k yard seasons out of the 9 in the NFL total. No other QB to accomplish this has more than 1. He’s never thrown under 4300 yards as a Saint. Meh…
5 seasons with 70% or over completion rate out of the 10 total in NFL history. Again… no other QB has more than one season above 70%. Considering the number of passes he throws(a stat he’s often rebuked for, as seen above), this is actually pretty ridiculous. The most accurate QB in history that also throws the most??? Meh…
Career completions (6,344)
Most seasons leading the NFL in passing yards (7)
Most career 400-yard passing games (16)
Most career 300-yard passing games (111)
Total completions in a season (471 in 2016)
Touchdown passes in a single game (tied for first with 7)
Consecutive games with a touchdown pass (54)
Consecutive games with 300 passing yards (9, twice)
Most seasons leading the league in passing (7)
On top of all this, he now has the season yardage record and he reached that number in like 13 less games than it took Manning. Meh…
Then people will turn to the ring argument, which is clearly a logical fallacy as a SuperBowl win is a team effort.

1. Brady 2.Manning 3.Rodgers 4.Brees only bc he has no MVPs that's an accolades in order to rank players they have to have accolades
richard matthews Rodgers?? really? :,(
@@austinbroussard2474 accolades matter Rodgers has by far the single greatest QB regular season ever and 2 MVPs if I'm not mistaken
And he beat the bears in the playoffs that year in soldier Field
But people will always find away to bring him down 🤗
@Reese B that wasn't the point. Read it over and try again.
Ryan Clark made absolutely ZERO sense
Ryan Clark is proof that not all former players are "experts" ... he's just some dude who played in #43's shadow
😂😂😂😂
Brees is arguably the best "throwing" passer of all time. What I mean by that is the technical skill of throwing a football - how it moves through the air and the accuracy of the ball going where the quarterback intends for it to go. It is a thing of beauty to watch Brees' throwing motion and how the ball moves to its target. The only other quarterback I've ever watched who equally had such a beautiful throw was Joe Willie.
Brady is the best leader QB of all time. No one has as much hard work and dedication to football like him.
Yeah spend 1 min watching Marino
and isn’t that the MAIN PURPOSE OF THE QB POSITION!! the most accurate qb in history let alone leading passer isn’t the best in history??? Have they seen the passes his thrown??? They are always in the perfect place to be caught
Did Max just say he had a “injury free” career? Doctors said theirs a high chance he won’t be able to throw again after that shoulder injury. Then saying he’s not top 5 or 10, & that Farve & Warren Moon are better? Wow 🤦🏾♂️
Qdizz they were wrong. His injury wasn’t as severe as originally thoughht. Happens all the time. He lost no real velocity and his game didn’t change. He has a injury free career. Compare him to manning who we clearly seen his body fail even while he was throwing 40tds a year
favre is better and hes not a top 5 qb that doesnt take away from his greatness though
Plus he can't see over his oline. That's an instant disqualification as a QB. That speaks volumes to the pure talent.
KdJ2 great coaching
Warren moon is not better than troy or Steve
Max is one of the worst QB analysts of all time. I’ll certainly give Max Top 5 at least.
Yeah as a pats fan max is a moron, he shits on brady and brees to up Rodgers, brees is top 5 no debate, and in my book he’s a top 3 qb, and has an argument for being the goat. My list rn is 1. Brady 2. Montana 3. Brees 4. Peyton 5. Marino
lol yal are funny
For me I take Brees based off accuracy, decision making and overall numbers. Brett has more arm talent but that isn't enough.
Max what have you been smoking. Jim Kelly and Troy Aikman over Drew Brees? No disrespect to those two legends, but Drew is much more talented than both of them.
Bic Mitchum I agree with you, tho it’s drew has accomplished more, not he is more talented. Rodgers is more talented than Brady and Brees but rank lower than both
Kelly went to 4 Super Bowls in a row and one of the best qbs of the 90s he had 9 playoff wins and 100 season 117 career wins
I never said Jim Kelly was bad, I even called him a legend because he is. I just believe that Drew Brees is better.
Facts
King DEUCE 10-8
Amay Yadav WHAT THE FUCK DID I JUST READ

(Brady)

If anyone seriously thinks u can put drew brees anywhere outside of the top 5 all time u can go ahead and stop talkin football all together. Period!
1. Tom Brady
2. Joe Montana
3. Peyton Manning
4. Johnny Unitas
5. John Elway (or Dan Marino)
The Film Effect john elway literally doesnt beat drew brees in any statline other than how many MVPs he has.
Ojaswee Singhal & 1 more superbowl
Elway is not better than Brees lol and Aikman is nowhere close if anything Aikman is a questionable top 10 of all time QB Aikman had LEGENDARY HOF teams filled with stars and Elway couldn't win the big game for most of his career until the very end lol Brees has been consistently great on the Saints and is the most accurate passer of all time
Bree's is 4th or 5th on the QB List
1 SB and your judged off SB wins. Fuck a regular season stats.
lol passing yards is not better numbers calm down bro
@@macsleaze8183 I already mentioned why that argument doesn't apply here....

I'd argue if Brees had stayed with the Chargers he would have got them to the Super Bowl. Rivers was never on the same level. I'd also take Brees over Elway.

Drew ain't fucking wit a rod

Jared Reed lmaooo fr dude had possibly one of the best roasters
Teams were stacked no doubt but Aikman was the leader and captain of the ship...and he put on a clinic in the playoffs
Aaron Rodgers is always hurt so how is he better 🤔
Edward Lavender Cause hes a 2x time mvp and overally better the drew brees
Lol because people who know football know Aaron is better
aaron rodgers has only missed time in 2 seasons in his career, 7 games in 2013, 9 games 2017. played every other game in his career. same amount of time as brady and manning missing 16
BOI, say it again!! FACTS
It’s easy. he’s not
drew brees is the barry sanders of quarterbacks and tom brady is the emmit smith
Never thought of it like that! Absolutely accurate
No, Brees is the moss and Brady is the rice. Brady is the all time GOAT
bruce lee to rebuttal that. I’d personally take moss over rice 🤷🏼♂️
That's not a great analogy. It would be more accurate if you said Aaron Rodgers / Barry Sanders and Peyton Manning / E. Smith... Aaron Rodgers and Barry Sanders both pass the eye test right away. Both are the archetype create a character player where Manning / Smith are less gifted but consistent.
i was more trying to point out that emmit smith had one of the best o-lines and sanders had no help. i know its not a perfect analogy
He's not better than Aaron that's a reach
You just discribed Rodgers as well
The packers 2-2 saints 4-1 enough said
Brees has way more talent like a running game to take pressure off of him lol both of his backs would start in Green Bay
I don't think anyone realizes how bad the Saints defense has been in the last 10 years..
Warren Moon? Ryan Clark stoppit
Brees is better than Favre tf kinda question is that
At least it wasn't as stupid as what Max said about Brees not even being top 10. He said Aikman was better than Brees and started talking about Aikman's accuracy. Brees holds the career and single season completion percentage record.
Donte Underwood He still has time to get one
MVP's are subjective. They're voted on by the media. Stats are objective.
You might be to young to have watched Favre. He was really good for a number of years. Played in miserable weather. It's a tossup between them.
I feel disrespected by how bad they disrespected brees.. fuck em

AFC Super Bowl QBs over the last 15 years have been Big Ben, Brady, Manning, *Flacco (*one appearance)😬
NFC has had 12 Super Bowl QBs in that span. Brady’s backups also went 11-5 & 3-1 during his absence 🤔 Tom’s also played with All Pros/future HOF’s such as Welker, Moss, R.Harrison, Seau, Wilfork, Seymour, Ochocinco, R. Wayne, T. Law, McGinest, Vinatieri, Gronkowski, Mankins, M. Light, Samuel, J.Harrison, D. Branch, Bruschi, McCourty, Gostkowski, Slater, Vrabel, D. Revis, J. Collins, N. Solder, B.
NFC South since 2002 has produced 24 playoff berths
2003 - Bucs SB XXXVII Champions
2004 - Panthers NFC SB representatives
2005 - Panthers play NFC Championship game vs. Seahawks
2006 - Saints play NFC Championship
game vs. Bears
2007 - Bucs lose Wild Card to SB champion Giants
2008 - Panthers lose divisional game to NFC SB representative Cardinals
2009 - Saints win SB XLIV
2010 - Falcons lose divisional game to SB champion Packers
2010 - Saints lose Wild Card game to Seahawks
2011 - Saints lose divisional game to 49ers
2012 - Falcons lose divisional game NFC SB representative 49ers
2013 - Panthers lose division game to 49ers
2014 - Panthers lose divisional game to SB champion Seahawks
2015 - Panthers NFC SB representatives
2016 - Falcons NFC SB representatives
2017 Panthers lose Wild Card game to Saints
2017 - Saints lose divisional game to Vikings
2017 - Falcons lose divisional game to SB champion Eagles
Who is your 🐐?
If that doesn't open their eyes, they are bias, haters, and clearly has something against New Orleans are Drew. Drew Brees is the GREATEST HANDS DOWN 🐐💯
Brees must of torched some ryan Clark teams back in the day
Max disrespected the hell out of Brees. Aikman and Kelly? Seriously? You can argue Brees over Elway. And I'm a Panthers fan.
Panthers fans know his greatness better than most haha respect
Hemanth Swarna I bursted out laughing when he said Troy was better than brees
Rings for Aikman but unacceptable that he put Kelly over Brees
Hate that ur a panthers fan I’m a saints fan but appreaciste realizing Bree’s is great
Theres one critical factor everyone is ignoring on here.
I'm still not getting the "Drew Brees don't wow me" argument...
llonden they don’t know football every time drew get the ball I expect a td
I know. There must be some kind of bias.
Ryan Clark is a fucking dumbass who knows nothing about the offensive side of football.
Max lost all credibility when he ranked Troy Aikman above Drew Brees.
And when he said Montana had five championships. Unless he's counting the NFC championships too, then he has 8.
IMO:
1) Montana
2) Brady
3) Manning
4) Brees
5) Rodgers
Manny C yes thank you but he’s better then Manning now
Brees
Stephen A. "TELL THEM AGAIN !!!!!" Since your the only one that has football knowledge.
Brady, Montana, Manning, Brees, and Rodgers are my top 5
MosMoneyENT Bradshaw?
@@basketballenlightenment2863 I'm 34 not 64 😂. I only listed those I've seen play. Some of y'all fans put players in y'all list that played way before y'all times and I don't get that. But too each it's own
Bradshaw is the most overrated QB of all-time. If it weren't for his Super Bowl stats he wouldn't be close to the HoF. He was a good QB elevated by a HoF defense.
Eli Manning?? Show our qb some love he’s one of the clutchest qbs of all time.
@@dametime128 I love both the Manning brothers but I'm talking honesty here.
Also in height in where he has to look over his o-line and still completes over 67% of his passes! No qb other than Drew Brees and Peyton Manning have won a super bowl without a top ten defense. All the rest of the all time great qbs has had systems of defensive minded head coaches.
TatoeTooTrill who gives a shit about his height, and with the amount of times he throws the football he should have that high of a completion percentage. He's an amazing quarterback and for me he's top ten. But the era is different.
Aloysius O'Hare from what I just read it doesn’t sound like you’re disagreeing with me. So why TF would you put that comment? Waste of time
@@aloysiusohare6458 Throwing the ball more doesn't create a higher completion percentage at all
What is Ryan Clark even talking about, he is a clown
Pasquale DeGregorio was a terrible football player and analysts
Montana
Brady
Manning
Marino
Elway
Bradshaw
Aaron Rogers
Troy Aikman
Favre
Drew Brees is not above any of them. He’s orbiting around the next tier though.
You dumb. Lol
No Aaron Rodgers is not better than Drew Brees.

Drew is Top 5 without a Doubt! Why you ask? Because of his performance vs his Defense.
1. Tom Brady: Top 10 defense (points or yards):15 seasons of 19 year Career
2. Joe Montana: Top 10 defense (points or yards): 10 seasons of 15 year Career
3. Peyton Manning: Top 10 defense (Points or yards): 8 seasons of 18 year Career

Talent wise, yes! PRODUCTION wise... not yet!
I would take him over Brett Farve as well and I’m a Mississippi native ...
Is religiously Stephen A's new favourite word? As opposed to blasphemous perhaps? Universe balances itself.
Are you kidding me Max? Drew Brees is the top 5 QB. Thumbs up if Max is worse than Skip Bayless.
he definitely is not a top 5 QB
j-wee !!!!!!!!! He’s not top 5
Not top 5, seems you are just a fan.
No way is worst then skip factless
Skip actually said Manu Ginobili was better than David Robinson
For me it goes 1.Tom Brady 2.Joe Montana 3.Peyton Manning 4.Drew Brees 5.Dan Marino
If you put drew Brees in the system of the Patriots, he wouldn't have lost to the Giants and he would have won more rings without cheating
The bountygate scandal was part of a practice that had happened in the league before. They're both cheating, but Brees didn't benefit from knowing the defensive play calls. However, injured players on the offense means less potential to score and put pressure on Brees to score.
Idiot. You must have brain damage, what ifs don’t work, we are in this reality, Tom Brady is the better leader, and the better clutch quarterback.
bruce lee But the reality is that Brady has always had a better team than Brees. I’m pretty cut on who I think is a better individual qb because each case is vastly different. Like you can be the best Rb ever, but if you get no blocking you don’t have a shot.
😅🤣🤤😝😄
@@goldengouche5483 Case in point: Switch teams with Emmitt Smith and Barry Sanders. Would the stats be different?! #HellYesItWould
Brees over Favre and its not even close...
Under which rules? Todays or 1990s? Brees would have never been able to take the hits like favre.
@@macsleaze8183 the only thing that Favre might have over Brees is durability. Accuracy, smart qb decisions, and being able to lead your team to a W transcends era. Don't get me wrong, Favre can/did lead his team to victories but he also cost them a few games because of his poor decisions...
brees is too small and brittle to deal with green bay weather and the physicality of 90s football he wouldnt last a season in brett favres shoes
Brett is better than Drew it isn't even close. You say he only has Brees in Durability because he lost them to many games. He actually won more big games than Brees has and has accomplished more. It isn't even close Brett is better
Drew brees is easily top 5.. max so lame you gonna sit there with a straight face and say Rodgers better
So if you end your career leading in multiple statistical categories of your position you’re barely top 10? What. Brees is the most accurate qb of all time. Can make any throw. He’s clutch. Carried teams with historically bad defenses. Won a chip. Saints never had a good defense. Can’t blame him when drops 30 points religiously and still might lose. Get outta here TOP 5 easily
Someone please fire Ryan Clark and Max Immediately!!!! they are giving ESPN a bad name now!!!!
They need to be drug tested immediately
No doubt. Absolutely disagree with what they were saying. It’s like they were talking just to talk. They went so far off the rails.
He broke every F****** record that EXISTS. How can he not be at the LEAST he top 10. C'mon, who is doing the voting here. Also got a Superbowl under his belt. What are these people thinking Steve? Thank you for your vote Steve.
When Payton Manning won his last SB he
could barely throw 10 yards. Brees never had a top 5 Defense or even top 10. And until last
year with Michael Thomas, he never had a pro-bowl receiver. How many players Drew threw to that went on to other teams had stellar careers? Jimmy Graham? no, Reggie Bush? no,
Robert Meachem? no, Lance Moore? no Anyone? Drew made them all better than then were. So, it comes down to stats and stats alone. Yes he put up a lot of garbage yards because of
garbage D. But look at the percentage in the way he did it. Especially when everyone on the
other side of the ball knew it was coming. And still could not stop him. His preparation is
second to none. Drew Brees is the GOAT.

Dree Brees doesn't have the "measurables"??? Measure his passing yards. Measure his touchdown passes.
Really didn't understand what he meant by that either.. Everything you measure a QB in Brees is #1 or pretty close. Except in height but that doesn't seem to be a factor for these "experts"
Rodgers ain’t better than Brees.
i laughed at that one he really said rodgers better than brees
jackass dumb provide facts because brees is better

Rodgers is way better. Everyone knows it except autistic inbreds with downs syndrome
Not to mention he played for Purdue (outside)
nnamdi dosunmu yea San Diego whether is a tough atmosphere for a qb

markdotinc Brees has never been considered a better QB than Rodgers so how can he be greater

He wasnt talking about his appearance
