personally, I wouldn't take apart the one that came with the console, because if i messed it up, I'd be without a controller. But if someone wants to take apart the only controller they have...then I guess that's up to them. If I were going to do this, I'd buy an extra one so I'd have a backup.

when you do the sticks and dpad mod, you don’t have to take the bottom shell off, you just lift the face plate off and change the things out and then just put it back on without touching the bottom 👌
The joysticks are very loud against the plastic since they are metal. But on the elite controller, there are softer plastic rings that go around the holes around the joysticks which make it much quieter
These magnetic sticks are really cool, i would buy them for my halo Controller. But it would be even cooler if they would add the elite Controllers to the design lab with some special editions (like a halo elite).
For those with a issue on the magnet on the bottom of the joystick. Take a flathead and gently pull it off and that's it. Simple as that, noticed mine was close to the plastic when I put the cover down so I did exactly that and now it's perfect. Most people don't tell you to take it off the bottom of the joystick because they don't realize you can

The trigger pull also affects vehicles in Warzone. I learned that the hard way. I was lucky enough to have the elite remote, so it was a quick flip adjustment.
Update to this guy's video. Do not add the magnetic piece kit to the standard Xbox one controllers (one, one s, and one x) There is a kit on Amazon that costs $20 that does the exact thing the magnetic kit does just without the magnets that come with the analogs and dpad. I suggest using the collectiveminds strikepack 2 for Xbox one that adds better ergonomics that wasn't there with the strikepack shown in this video. The trigger stop grips are a great option. Faceplates on Amazon are only $10 - $15 Bumpers and triggers are generally $5 - $15 depending on who makes the kit you are looking at.

Got the same problem. I believe the issue is the fact that these Chinese knock analog sticks, actually lack magnetic shielding tape that is found on the actual elite controller's analog sticks. Which prevent the stick from activating the left trigger. Stick on the left was taken out of an elite XBO controller, the stick on the right is the Chinese knock off: postimg.cc/image/efzthonc7/
@@MisterManiac everyone has their own oppinion. I love 'm. More room for your hands, little extra weight. And Scuf does indeed suck. But the paddles are just metal. No crappy plastic paddles that break after 3 weeks. You just click them on like a battery cover. I've had them for 18 months now, no problems.
With the newer back attachment with 4 buttons, the bike issue in Destiny isn't a problem. I'm about to order this kit for I too would like trigger stops and the elite thumbsticks. Eventually I'll do an LED mod and the 4 back paddle mods. But it's my first time so baby steps 😂
that trigger stutter in destiny riding is a game issue not a stops issue. it does the same thing with an actual elite or any controller that has stops on them. i wish they'd fix it somehow but because it seems so menial they will probably never notice it
The warranty counts for nothing anyways. Has to be defective normal wear and tear and accordingly damage doesn't cover it anyways. The controller will give u more then 90 days
It’s a torx 9 bit! Idk why all these kits sell the size down. I bought a Kobalt 50 piece electronic precision repair tool kit for $32. I tried the torx 8 and it worked but with slack. The actual bit is the torx 9. Fits like a glove.

Have a couple of sets of "Mod Sticks" .... A great kit for x and PS controllers. Able to move joy sticks much farther than other sticks. (thin center rod) They are (were)the BEST!
You should try bionik quickshot they do the same thing but the only difference is that there is a off and on switch so you go back to the regular pull with the flip of a switch so no need to take them off
The new and cheaper version of this is the extreme rate back buttons which come with trigger stops and scuf like grips and the same thumb sticks he uses

Does the elite controller have a different circuit board to the original controller? Just I have found all the parts (front shell, back shell, repair kit with buttons, etc) except the circuit board(s) (pretty much the controller without the buttons, triggers and shell on them. I'd like to know because obviously a different circuit board would render the specific hair triggers and metal paddles useless. I find even the collective minds strike pack a little expensive.
+KryPToN Emerge The circuit boards are different. The front board on the elite has a switch for settings 1 or 2. As for the back board it has a ribbon cable for the back triggers.

Hi I got one of these kits off ebay I put it into my first gen xbox one controller not day 1 but the same one without the headset jack. I've noticed when I push up on the left analog it is triggering the lt button. when I took the analog off and put my original analog back in the issue goes away. can you reccomend a solution to fix this thanks or maybe you have this issue too?

I would not do the thumb stick on because the left thumb stick is to close to the trigger and u will always be aiming on because the magnet on the thumb stick goes to the left trigger
That Strike Pack will get you banned (a short time for me) online for use of third party services. Only because it supports rapid fire mods and such even if you don't use them.

+andykod77, I would say the performance is good, the controller still works the same, the extra triggers (if you remember to use them) make a big difference, especially if you use the extra mod features of them ( turbo, double jump, quick scope). The only problem I had with it is the trigger grips, they feel great but sometimes the triggers (L2, R2) don't always respond when pulled, that would be my only complaint. The elite controller experience however is a bit more refined, but this mod makes a good alternative. I hope this answers your question, thank you for watching.
Performance is exactly the same I did this after my elite got stick drift in one year.. only difference is the elite paddles in the back are in a better position.. but once you get use to the new position the controller works just as good as the elite,and if this controller breaks I'll only be out $60 instead of $120
So, I did this mod for my Xbox one (S,X) controller and the big thing for me was the D-Pad. But the D pad wouldnt fit into the D-pad port and wouldn't click at all or would just fall slightly out of the socket. Any fixes?
Goobid Metal 01 I had the same issue man, the D pad was just not designed right for a regular Xbox controller, it moves all around and doesn’t click well...
Man all bs aside I literally just got it working right!!! Underneath the green magnetic Dpad piece there are 4 magnets, on mine one wasn’t sitting flush like all the rest, so carefully I pryed it up with a small flathead screwdriver until I popped it out and put it back in flush with the rest, and it’s now working perfectly!!! No more sliding around, no more rubbing the side of the plastic.
@@Beauyo i see. Currently all of my magnets seemingly fit right. I may end up getting a new kit and seeing about prying all the magnets out and gluing the fight pad. I'll leave what you said as a mental note!
Goobid Metal 01 I didn’t leave any magnets out, all I did was pry that one uneven magnet out and put it back in flush with the rest, and now it works as it should, I was also on the virge of buying a new kit until I saw a review on Amazon with a guy having the same problem, this was also his solution
I bought a new xbox one s and got drift in the controller after a couple months. I upgraded to the xbox one X in July and this controller is even worse. The sad part is when I played Playstation i never had a issue with the controller and i played alot. Not looking at buying a controller every couple months. My switch back to Playstation for this reason
Hi I got a problem with this swap is that after I put the elite thump sticks in, the Left Trigger is auto pressed. Do you have the same problem? When I put the original plastic thumpstick back, everything is fine. I think the magnetic field of the left thump stick interferes the magnetic field of the Left Trigger. Do you have a fix for this?
John Denver I have an exactly same issue here. imho the magnet is too strong so it interferes left trigger. I tried every sticks on every direction but it didn't solve that problem. Maybe it is because they are cheap Chinese product. I bought these for $15 on Aliexpress. What about you? Where did you get it?
devenkim i bought from ebay 13$ it's still a good one. I fixed it by removing the magnet on left thumbstick base and glue the thumb that I use most in the base
devenkim use a flat screwdriver and pry the ring on the back of the base out, inside there will be a ring magnet. Take it out and glue the base with a top that you like. It won't be interchangeable later but i don't mind (only the left thumbstick)

I got the same problem with FIFA, the LT is auto pressed. I guess the magnetic field of the left thumpstick messes up the magnetic field of the LT since it uses magnetic field to know whether you press the button or not
Claudes Tech when you open the back on the inside of the trigger there is a round magnet under a clip, this magnet is getting jiggy with the magnet in the analog sticks, all you need to do is move that magnet about 5mm up the clip as it's plenty strong to hold the magnet where it will be, put the controller back together and the issue is fixed because the magnets are far enough apart to not mess with each other, hope this helps
I also changed the thumbsticks on my controller with magnetic ones, but the magnet is always activating the left trigger and the controller is unusable. Is there someone with the same issue that have found a solution?
I have done this myself, I don’t recommend it as it messes with the motherboard as they don’t have the right type of magnet and the motherboard isn’t made to have a magnet near it, don’t recommend this at all

The reason your bike in destiny doesnt go any where is because the triggers have an anolog input which means the more you push down the faster you go
If you want trigger grips I recommend the bionik trigger stopping grips

The Elite thumbpads look a little bigger than the regular ones. Are you still able to get the full range of motion with the sticks?
You should of removed the rumbles while you had it off to make it lighter and great for shooting games

nice my controller's hall effects sensor stopped fucking working after a few months, but your controller lasts 3-4 years
If I were to purchase a trigger grips set, I would have my trigger finger with the mod grip, with reg grip on aim trigger

I would not do the thumb stick on because the left thumb stick is to close to the trigger and u will always be aiming on because the magnet on the thumb stick goes to the left trigger

That Strike Pack will get you banned (a short time for me) online for use of third party services. Only because it supports rapid fire mods and such even if you don't use them.

+andykod77, I would say the performance is good, the controller still works the same, the extra triggers (if you remember to use them) make a big difference, especially if you use the extra mod features of them ( turbo, double jump, quick scope). The only problem I had with it is the trigger grips, they feel great but sometimes the triggers (L2, R2) don't always respond when pulled, that would be my only complaint. The elite controller experience however is a bit more refined, but this mod makes a good alternative. I hope this answers your question, thank you for watching.
Performance is exactly the same I did this after my elite got stick drift in one year.. only difference is the elite paddles in the back are in a better position.. but once you get use to the new position the controller works just as good as the elite,and if this controller breaks I'll only be out $60 instead of $120
So, I did this mod for my Xbox one (S,X) controller and the big thing for me was the D-Pad. But the D pad wouldnt fit into the D-pad port and wouldn't click at all or would just fall slightly out of the socket. Any fixes?
Goobid Metal 01 I had the same issue man, the D pad was just not designed right for a regular Xbox controller, it moves all around and doesn’t click well...

Man all bs aside I literally just got it working right!!! Underneath the green magnetic Dpad piece there are 4 magnets, on mine one wasn’t sitting flush like all the rest, so carefully I pryed it up with a small flathead screwdriver until I popped it out and put it back in flush with the rest, and it’s now working perfectly!!! No more sliding around, no more rubbing the side of the plastic.
@@Beauyo i see. Currently all of my magnets seemingly fit right. I may end up getting a new kit and seeing about prying all the magnets out and gluing the fight pad. I'll leave what you said as a mental note!
Goobid Metal 01 I didn’t leave any magnets out, all I did was pry that one uneven magnet out and put it back in flush with the rest, and now it works as it should, I was also on the virge of buying a new kit until I saw a review on Amazon with a guy having the same problem, this was also his solution

I bought a new xbox one s and got drift in the controller after a couple months. I upgraded to the xbox one X in July and this controller is even worse. The sad part is when I played Playstation i never had a issue with the controller and i played alot. Not looking at buying a controller every couple months. My switch back to Playstation for this reason
Hi I got a problem with this swap is that after I put the elite thump sticks in, the Left Trigger is auto pressed. Do you have the same problem? When I put the original plastic thumpstick back, everything is fine.
I think the magnetic field of the left thump stick interferes the magnetic field of the Left Trigger. Do you have a fix for this?
John Denver I have an exactly same issue here. imho the magnet is too strong so it interferes left trigger. I tried every sticks on every direction but it didn't solve that problem. Maybe it is because they are cheap Chinese product. I bought these for $15 on Aliexpress. What about you? Where did you get it?
devenkim i bought from ebay 13$ it's still a good one. I fixed it by removing the magnet on left thumbstick base and glue the thumb that I use most in the base

devenkim use a flat screwdriver and pry the ring on the back of the base out, inside there will be a ring magnet. Take it out and glue the base with a top that you like. It won't be interchangeable later but i don't mind (only the left thumbstick)

I got the same problem with FIFA, the LT is auto pressed. I guess the magnetic field of the left thumpstick messes up the magnetic field of the LT since it uses magnetic field to know whether you press the button or not
Octavio Pong hi there yeah I moved the magnet on the trigger slightly higher in the clip, real easy fix works perfectly
how did you moved the magnet? I mean, there is a sort of slot, can you be more specific?
Claudes Tech when you open the back on the inside of the trigger there is a round magnet under a clip, this magnet is getting jiggy with the magnet in the analog sticks, all you need to do is move that magnet about 5mm up the clip as it's plenty strong to hold the magnet where it will be, put the controller back together and the issue is fixed because the magnets are far enough apart to not mess with each other, hope this helps
move it my putting a flat head screw driver in gap and push the magnet up 5mm
I also changed the thumbsticks on my controller with magnetic ones, but the magnet is always activating the left trigger and the controller is unusable. Is there someone with the same issue that have found a solution?
Yes take the magnets out the bottom of the joystick. That's what I did works perfect and better functioning.

I have done this myself, I don’t recommend it as it messes with the motherboard as they don’t have the right type of magnet and the motherboard isn’t made to have a magnet near it, don’t recommend this at all
I was thinking that to magnets never go well with electronics lol only reason the elite work theres a metal pieces covering the stick I think I'm not sure I dont want to RIP my white guy apart 😶

After doing this (swamping thumbpad and joysticks) I was in a game of rainbow six siege and noticed if I moved forward my left trigger would aim in as if I were pressing LT. I was wondering if I can fix this some how
