Great video, but not giving attribution to the model sources isn't the greatest look. A lot of designers worked hard on those models, and would appreciate any traffic this video generates. In particular, I would love to find the one that changes gender based on perspective, but I have not been able to locate it anywhere
loved this. The part you said about how some of them don't make sense until they're at a specific angle and then boom, everything lines up - reminds me of the stone puzzles in AC Valhalla; they had the same mechanism where you had to be in a specific spot, looking at the stones (with the design) at a specific angle before they all lined up and made sense. Wonderful physical 'real world' representation of that (although I guess the IRL version came first, nevertheless..) Nice switch-up from the puzzle solving.
Re7 had these shadow puzzles that were similar, where you had a light source and a nonsense object that would became a specific shape when rotated right
@aussieobserver3219 TBF, when the RUclipsr doesn't credit their team, it can be hard to know they exist. I know Chris has mentioned who works with him before, but if you're new to the channel, or tend to just watch his magic videos, you might get that impression.
@ChrisRamsay Please Link the Files to all the illusions. especially the Spinning Spiral one. i Searched the whole Internet and still wouldnt able to find it.
Super cool! I got my first 3D printer from Ebay yesterday and it will be delivered on Wednesday. Now I've been sitting all weekend looking for stuff to print and then this video comes up. Just perfect! By the way, I liked the first illusion best! greetings from Germany
I wish so badly that I could see the window illusion. Always just looks like it's spinning to me. Especially when a straw is put in. then it looks even less like something else is happening.
If you reverse the effect of the first illusion (by spinning the green parts), that’s how the one pub pirate in Disney’s Pirates of the Caribbean “drinks” rum. The “rum” is actually a twisted rum-colored plastic rod that’s suspended in the skeleton and then rotated. The M.C.Escher stairs is what inspired the room of haunted stairways in Disney World’s Haunted Mansion. Try also looking at the “Gathering 4 Gardner” dragon illusion...
Wow, what amazing illusions! I’ve loved 3D printing as a hobby for so long, but haven’t 3D printed any illusions before. I really liked the triangle of cubes one and the spinning spiral, they were awesome! I just couldn’t see the window illusion though, I don’t why but it just looked like it was spinning! 😂 Thank you so much for making this video, it has brightened my day! ☺️❤️
If you use a heat gun on the supports then they'll come away SUPER easy. Just make sure to not use a high temp because if you're using PLA it'll melt quick
Illusions are so cool. At first your eye sees it and then your brain responds with something totally different. Mind blowing Thank you for sharing. Please Stay Safe Happy and Healthy Have A Wonderful Day
2:29 letting it spin, holding it underneath maybe. Great optical tomfoolery, Like the man/Lady figure, Could be used on signs for unisex toilets. , The number of CAD models for 3D printers always amazes me, used thingiverse with parametric gears and cogs, hindges.
You can see the green part turning if you stare directly at one of the ends and totally ignore the ring. Ideally you'd just block the ring from your view, cuz if you see it, illusion "activates".
You melted my cortex at 6am... Fun fact (but potentially somewhat awkward for the people who took out the Vero trademark) , Vero is also the name of a large corporate insurer in Australia.
It's things like these that makes me really, really want a 3D printer, but I know for a fact that if I got one I'd have things to print maybe once every 5 years, so I just can't justify it :c
Helix illusions always make me feel stupid. He explained it, put it back together, and then we still couldn't see it spin... I feel like my brain just doesn't work, lmao.
Just catching up on watching his videos. Loved this. But disappointed there aren't links to the models. Or even names of models or designers so i can find myself. Anyone have any info on them?
Window seems cool, but just watch the top border, can clearly see small side in front of big then 180 small side disappears as it rotates.. if u watch only window it looks like it sways back and forth, but watching th border completely takes away the illusion
Oh man i usually just pull through but the camera auto focus is horrendous at this point, can't keep watching. Not a good look when your vids can get people sick
Hi Chris. Can you help me. A relative has died and has left his family a box. Nobody knows how to open it. We were told that it's a bronze or brass inian box ?. There is something inside it but we cannot open it.😊
So many of the world must have broken eyes or brains because I cant see any of the nonsense that's not there, like that window one I just a window turning even more with the straw none of these work on me I see what is therrte not soem imaginary thing ...... does it mean im broken or everyone else is....
You should include links to where you got these illusions. Just saying "Hey, look at this cool illusion that took tens of hours of design to work out that you could 3d print yourself if I told you where I got it" is less satisfying.
I mean maybe, but like dude gave you names and history lessons on every piece, took more time to type out this comment than it would to find everything you need via Google, no?
The license Creative Commons - Attribution (at least on thingiverse) also requires a reference of the original design. Love the video. Well your work as always 🙂
@@henryvacherweill No. Not every piece. Neither the man-turning-into-woman piece nor the green thing at the start is provided any information on where to find it, for example. All he says for the first one is "someone sent this in my feed." It's normal in the online communities to provide links to the models even if they're paid or only available already printed, FWIW. Not like magic where you tend not to tell the audience where you bought your tricks from. :-)
Where can I find the files to print that first illusion, the one with the strands and the bearings? I want to make one for myself, but I don’t know what it is called so don’t know what to search for.
7:55 This should be used for a male & female toilet sign - one sign in the middle of two doors, stand in front of one door and see a female, stand in front of the other door and see a male sign.
If you are just taking other people models and work and printing them to show off on video you really should link the models.
To be fair, I know a few of these are not publicly available…so providing links would be a bit rude.
Great video, but not giving attribution to the model sources isn't the greatest look. A lot of designers worked hard on those models, and would appreciate any traffic this video generates. In particular, I would love to find the one that changes gender based on perspective, but I have not been able to locate it anywhere
Is it possible to get links for the illusions or even a list of the illusion names so we can go find them?
green rotation is "portal toy" on printables
Yeah he really should have linked the models used in the description.

Re7 had these shadow puzzles that were similar, where you had a light source and a nonsense object that would became a specific shape when rotated right
Ever since I've seen how the window illusion works I can't see it anymore.. I legit just see it spinning around like how it actually is.
same. same thing with the concave/convex boxes and hollow man illusions. there's subtle things you pick up easier on after knowing they are there
It still fools me every time. Maybe if I held one in my hand it would fix me
Until he puts a straw in it. Then my world shatters because it really looks like it's moving through the solid framw
Interesting! I was the opposite; it just looked like it was spinning and then he said it stops and now I can’t unsee it stopping 😆
Yeah I dont think it works as well because the spinning wasnt smooth
Chris your 3D-printed puzzle box is done. I will be shipping it out in a week or so. I have a good chance you will not be able to figure it out.
Imagine someone made a 30ft version of that green spinning illusion. Would be awesome.
Chris, it’s cool watching you solve puzzles. I’m also interested to see you complete a Perplexus.
Loved the opening montage. You've become as good a filmmaker as you are a magician. Awesome stuff.
@aussieobserver3219 TBF, when the RUclipsr doesn't credit their team, it can be hard to know they exist. I know Chris has mentioned who works with him before, but if you're new to the channel, or tend to just watch his magic videos, you might get that impression.
Whoa... The strand puzzle is very unique.... Love the music used as well...
I’m so envious of the 3D printing, puzzles, magic, optical illusions, and the fact he loves in Canada… grrrr. So gifted.
The illusions in the video are sooooo AWESOME and mind bending. I just love to look at illusions that trick the eye.
Great video, it took me forever to realize your shirt said cardporn 😅
@ChrisRamsay Please Link the Files to all the illusions. especially the Spinning Spiral one. i Searched the whole Internet and still wouldnt able to find it.
Yes please, I can’t find it either
Search Printables for “portal toy”. Links aren’t coming through. I really wish he would have credited us for our creations.
6:15 it took me ages to force my mind to see what you were talking about because in my head I just keep seeing it’s spinning in one direction lol.
Love those illusions, Esher was very clever with his illusions!!!!!
Made me remember the metal spiral that you featured in another vid that looks like its bending as it turns and folds back in on itself.
Only thing that limits you with a 3d printer is your imagination.. love it
I never get bored of that oscillating window one. Insanity.
the goat comments on the goats vid
Mixing two of my favourite things together. Keep it up, Chris!❤
Illusions are so freakin cool
The arrow illusion is pretty cool!
Super cool! I got my first 3D printer from Ebay yesterday and it will be delivered on Wednesday. Now I've been sitting all weekend looking for stuff to print and then this video comes up. Just perfect! By the way, I liked the first illusion best! greetings from Germany
The link to the "Illusion" file is only a link to a shop and I would call it scam!
I wish so badly that I could see the window illusion. Always just looks like it's spinning to me. Especially when a straw is put in. then it looks even less like something else is happening.
aloways amazing videos! makes my day better!
I liked the cubes. Simple yet brilliant.
12:25 I beg your pardon?
I just love the music on this video!

Free STLs are the jam. Appreciated!
Were you able to download all the puzzles or just the "Hot Dang" one? That's the only one I was able to find in the link he posted
I only saw a spinning window until you said it was supposed to look different, lol
But the green spinning one definitely got me.
Does the green spiral have a name, kind of looks like a teleport. Cool print, I want it! 😮
Ive seen it called the magic screw desk toy.
green rotation is "portal toy" on printables
Those hurt my brain but they were fun to watch!
thanks for sharing! these were intense!
Loved the video. (The colorizing is sp good in this one btw)
Super. i know them allready, but in this film you make them super.
If you use a heat gun on the supports then they'll come away SUPER easy. Just make sure to not use a high temp because if you're using PLA it'll melt quick

Same favorite as you! Awesome video as always, thanks!
Holy shnikies I want that green cord spinny thing. No no, I NEED that thing.
Wish you would share the files (your description link doesn't work). Also who created these prints?
the nerve to take unoriginal designs then not post the stls to any of them
Fires up his 3d printer. There goes my weekend. Lol❤

When you added the straw to the window, I actually blurted out "Quit going back and forth!" (SO embarrassed!)
6:00 to me it looks like its spinning though not flipping?
Love the use of the 3d printer as a record player. Never seen that before and I found myself grooving along.
the spinning illusion is made by Ada Cohen
Love this stuff, amazing!
Is there a link for stl’s somewhere? :)
INSANE! ❤ Love it
I can't see the Window-Illusion xD It just spins and spins and spins... I can imagine what the illusion should look like, but I can't see it xD
You should do top 3D printed puzzles anyone can print
liked the convex cubes
If you like this then try and review the mobile game Monument. Super fun and full op these illusions 🙂
you look like conor mcgregor lol
These are awesome!!!
At the two minute mark, what is the name of that blue spinning object and what is the price of it?
i liked the intro more than the video
Where can I find the 3D files for the other cool illusions?
green rotation is "portal toy" on printables
I can't believe you didn't end this video with HOT! DANG
Im pissed RUclips never recommended this video, WTF!!!! This is perfect for me, Chris youtube is failing you.
Minute 15:22 ESCHER !!! Bests regards from a Venezuelan follower in Panama!
So where can I get this file? The link in the bio has a shop that does not have the file.
I really need to know the name of the first one
Window seems cool, but just watch the top border, can clearly see small side in front of big then 180 small side disappears as it rotates.. if u watch only window it looks like it sways back and forth, but watching th border completely takes away the illusion

Some links would be nice
Sorry for the smoke, that's just my brain nearly exploding
Endless fun with 3D printing. I love it
The 3d print file is not at the link?
Really want to make that spinning illusion print
I love illusions.
Triangle and I have a question. What all do you need to use a 3D printer? Everything, start with an empty room.
Hi Chris. Can you help me. A relative has died and has left his family a box. Nobody knows how to open it. We were told that it's a bronze or brass inian box ?. There is something inside it but we cannot open it.😊
5:00 Curiosity Show from Australia - presentor's name is Deane Hutton
would love to know where i could access the 4 hearts/4 suits
whenever i try to watch your uploads, for the past month at least, there's no picture, just glitchy mainly green lines
So many of the world must have broken eyes or brains because I cant see any of the nonsense that's not there, like that window one I just a window turning even more with the straw none of these work on me I see what is therrte not soem imaginary thing ...... does it mean im broken or everyone else is....
The first illusion After the hot dang illusion actually uses the barber pole illusion
What theee why are you a meth dealer in the movie spiral, from the legazy og saw..
Regards from denmark
I heard all these illusions once fooled Penn and Teller

where can i find the files for his favorite one? I need to print it!!
The window illusion doesn't really work for me that well. I sometimes see it a little but most of the time it just looks like it's rotating for me.
the dino ones are more freaky becos it looks like the eyes will follow you like the mona lisa painiting.. still cool but also weird
The intro was dope but I can’t see the window one… maybe it was the hand letting my brain it should be spinning
Am I the only one that can only see the first one spinning? For some reason my mind only sees it spinning, i can’t see it the way he explains it😕
The spiral without the case really looks like you've just green screened it out
Sino napunta dito dahil kay jeffrey tam😂

That's the Necker Cube.
7:55 This should be used for a male & female toilet sign - one sign in the middle of two doors, stand in front of one door and see a female, stand in front of the other door and see a male sign.
i don't think that window illusion rotation thingy should be glossy
My favorite illusion piece was the convex cubes
