I’ve been sobbing for 2 days after finding out about how she died and that last scene of ADGTH I used to babysit my neighbors daughter when she was 2-3 and she died just before she turned 4 and that was in 2018 and I still cry whenever I think about her. I know exactly how Burt feels and my heart is recrushed all over again
So, men should never be open when they're sad or scared? The belief that a real man is stoic, doesn't cry, etc. is one of the reasons why men kill themselves.
Kind of like Ed McMahon. He had so many income streams yet he almost lost his house to foreclosure in his final years. Somebody bailed him out apparently.
He invested in a restaurant chain as an individual and not as a business. When it went bad he was personally responsible financially for 20 million.@@jacquesjtheripper5922
I love in a interview when Tarantino talks about the last thing Burt was reading before his passed was the Once upon a time in Hollywood screenplay. He sounds so honored for that
I don’t wanna sound selfish and take away from the message in the video, but when he said about being an adult and letting go, that really hit a specific chord in me because a year ago, I blocked one of my oldest friends after being disrespected for the last time, and it was a painful decision and one of the most difficult decisions I’ve ever had to make, and I didn’t want to do it. The ultimatum was to come to terms with it or let her stay on my life and continue taking me for granted, and it was a pattern throughout the time that I knew her and we had talks about it and I knew after the last time she did it that it was not going to change and I had no choice Because I loved myself first and foremost and was going to do whatever it takes to protect myself. It’s not a good feeling, but it’s necessary.
You did the right thing. As much as it hurts. I know I don't know you but I am proud of you. Not many can let go of toxic people that they love. We are all so depressed, so lonely. I pray you all allow Christ into your life. We all have a God sized hole in us that nothing and no one can fill. Because we are a species that worships, if we do not strive for Christ, we will worship the profane, the mundial. We will worship ourselves. And we can't even make good humans, what chance do we have to be the god of our own lives? Rip Burt Rip Judith In His loving arms.
This resonates deeply with me and my ex I parted ways with earlier this year. I still feel like we're soulmates cause the good times were definitely the best times I've ever experienced in a relationship but we was too toxic for each other for it to last. At 40 I think I'm done with the dating scene cause it's a joke and I've learned my lesson that not everybody has a happy ending to their story.

He got it with Boogie Nights. Sure, Hollywood didn't knock on his door after, it's because he got that part out of the way. Some stars careers start backwards.
This interview was filmed at his house here in S Martin County, FL. He died in it but had presold it to someone for the crazy low amount of $1.5 million with the deal that he could live in it for free until he passed. Whoever bought it didn't tear it down like I thought they would. Burt was an overly generous guy and was easily taken advantage of which is why he went broke at least twice. He was ok in the end, not totally penniless but based on what he made in the 1970's he would have probably have been close to a billionaire had he just kept it in an S&P 500 fund.
True love does not exist unless you are taking about god. Love is probably something women made up to trick guys into committing to them even when they are old and overweight 😂.
Reynolds had it all. But he chose to make Smokey and the Bandit type movies instead of Ordinary People. He made tons of money. Blew it. He had tons of beautiful women. Never worked out somehow.
Burt used to wear his heart on his sleeve a little too much at times. It was a needless distraction, and it helped him lose the aura of big screen stardom that a movie star needs to retain. John Wayne and Clint Eastwood had their share of personal problems, but they didn't bring them out and parade them in front of the public. I am 66 and I loved Burt Reynolds, but when he turned down a great role in 'Terms Of Endearment' to do 'Stroker Ace', he lost all credibility in Hollywood.
Reynolds had multiple chances with good movies and good women, but was an a-hole and everybody saw through that. He played the pity card, but word got around that he was a player, from the women he was with, and he never realized his full potential and never was smart enough to figure it out before he died.
