Thank you for your kind comments about England. We tend to take our freedoms & liberties for granted, forgetting that many other countries do not fully enjoy the lifestyles that we do in terms of our willingness to accept people of different cultural backgrounds without making them feel awkward or embarrassed. I hope you continue to enjoy the country as long as you are here. Best wishes 🙂👍

I too love the change of seasons here in the UK.
It's good for the soul, and when it's cold, damp and miserable some times, it's nice to know that the sun will soon return, the ice will melt and the flowers will bloom again.
You and your husband are real assets to the UK Nane, both as professionals, but more importantly as good lovely people.
I am ashamed I only know one language when I hear you use English so well.
I had Portugese girls living with us back in 1973 in Earls Court, London, and they tried to teach me all of the Portugese swear words, then would fall apart laughing at my attempts.
If you love grey squirrels Nane, wait until you see what they are destroying because they are an alien invader from America.
    I'm talking about RED squirrels.
You will just melt when you see them. : - )
I enjoyed your chat and I wish you rainbows.
    Shine on Nane.

You shouldn't be ashamed for knowing only one language, some people don't even know their own language haha
But I always liked the English language, since I was a kid, and because of all the films and music in English it was easier to learn. But I still make a lot of mistakes 😅
And is amazing that the firsts words that we learn in other languages after a certain age are always bad words! Haha
Thank you so much again for the kind words, me and my husband feel very much welcome here 😊😊

It is... Unfortunately besides travelling being expensive inside Brazil, salaries are usually very low and the cost of life is usually high in most places, so most people don't have money to travel so often... Comparing to the reality we had there, travelling here is very very cheap, and accessible to more people

On a world map you will see Britain is around 55 degrees North, which is the latitude of Gander Canada. We are further north than Brazil is south of the equator. In summer our days can be 17 1/2 hrs long with dawn around 4.15 am. In winter 8 1/2 hrs. Its the reason we had the industrial revolution. Long winter nights to invent and plan. Long summer days to build things.

If you love parks and big green open spaces Nene, try a visit to the Lake District. It does get busy in the Summer months, but it is also a very beautiful place in Winter. There are actually some good videos of the Lake District on here. And you are correct, people do dress in all sorts of ways here in the UK, but it's a free society, and all the better for it. Even I don't care for the way some people choose to look, but the one thing I would defend is their RIGHT to look the way they choose. That's one of the things we value here a lot.

We went from Foz do Iguacu to Salvador 33 hrs by the most uncomfotable Express coach ever. I'd say regarding bright and unnatural hair colouring and lots of visible tattoos, people may not comment on them or look down on the individual but they do display a personality characteristic that may not be very attractive, basically the person with the outrageous hair and loads of tattoos or piercings is trying to attract attention, they are trying to differentiate themselves from everyone else by having the same tattoos and hair colour that others like them do. Going back in history wealthier people did this by wearing brighter colours or more flamboyant clothing that the less wealthy couldn't afford. It's just the same narcissistic trait really but as someone who has a degree in physiology you'll recognise this.

    • @youcancallmenane8820
      @youcancallmenane8820  4 года назад +4

I studied psychology, not physiology, and my line of thought is the phenomenology, to me the human being is not "that obvious", and they are moved by meaning, so different people with tattoos have different meanings to have tattoos, and different people with bright hair colour have different meanings to have them too. Not reasons, meaning. And not always we know what is this meaning (specially because our society learnt with the medicine to look for the reasons and causes, that is looking back, not to look for the meaning, that is looking forward), that's what we work to understand in therapy with a phenomenological base.
