Windows 10 Activation still works with old Win 7 and 8 product keys and some tips if you are not act

Windows 10 still activates with old Windows 7 and 8 product keys, if you have no activation and do have a old PC around, try the product key

Thanks for this. I have a windows 8.1 which now warns me support for 8.1 is going to expire at the end of the year so W10 has to be installed.

Yes! I had a Window's 7 PC last year! it would no longer work for me! So, I was able to upgrade to Window's 10 Pro. Good video!

The old keys actually still work on Windows 11 and even 22H2 as well to this day.

I upgraded my motherboard and CPU, and now Win 10 Pro has been deactivated. I bought the Win 8.1 Pro key in 2015, and at some point got the Win 10 upgrade. The key doesn't work. The troubleshooter takes me to the website, which takes me back to the troubleshooter, and around we go. My only out is to call support - which you can't do in Denmark, I can only input my phone number and ask for support to call me back. Which they don't do. I suppose I'll have to cough up for a new license? 🙁

unfortunately if you can't get hold of Microsoft to talk to someone you will have to get a new key, unless you have an old Windows 7 key on an old device
