You genuinely have an incredible cave system on your hands here, Matt. I would take special care to maintain the structures within it and to properly map it out. It could be a game-changer for the resort with the right conservation and management. If you could get ahold of the aquifer that feeds into that cave and utilize it efficiently elsewhere in order for you to provide controlled tours you might just find an altogether different experience than what you originally planned to with The Ranch. There are many aspects to maintaining a cave structure though especially when you are taking the water out of it. As the rock dries out it can make certain formations weaker as a result.
If you didn't have that pump this never would have worked! So glad you let us use it and very thankful you let us use the resort as a base of operation!!!!
Can y'all flood it again so we can see what's beyond that question mark? 😅 We would love to explore and look for leads but rebreathers work best underwater 😛

These cave exploring episodes have been SO MUCH FUN to watch. These boys you brought in are the real deal, always pushing the limit and getting you out of your comfort zone as well. This is an amazing turn on the abandon ranch series and Im all for it. I stay on the edge of my seat! This needs to be a tour when you open the ranch!
You know it's good when Matt is the voice of reason, letting the guys know "you don't have to do that, it's not worth it etc". Keeping the safety and reality check.
It's one of the problems with caves on properties. Matt's a good guy and wants everyone to be safe, but as the landowner, he can also be liable for any deaths or injuries that happen. In the UK, a lot of caves are being closed off permanently, or severly restricted because land owners don't want the liability, and the risks often can't be insured. Given America is rather litigious and a lot of people now know these caves exist, it might be a good idea to install a lockable gate over the entrance to keep trespassers out.
Same here call me a pansy but one slip up by one can spell disaster. Just like the last episode when a small wave induced panic and in an instant your fighting for air. Not saying I would of done different but staying calm is imperative and the #1one rule in any dangerous scenario.
This has been some of the best content you have ever had Matt. You and the boys were incredible, and I couldn't keep the smile off my face watching. Awesome stuff mate.
The resort is really turning into adventure ranch real fast, so much cool outdoor stuff to do and explore all in one place. You really hit the jackpot with this place.
Man this ranch is going to be epic. As expensive as it is and as much work as it’s taking I think Matt might have actually gotten really lucky with this property.
Hey Matt, Hello from Dallas. That cave his the family cave you are looking for. It just needs the entrance and some spots to be excavated and wash out a lot of that mud. You may even find more rooms at a lower level when you wash the mud out. That river has to be going somewhere. It may fill the cave back out but it doesn't completely flood it. I cleaned caves in Missouri about 50 miles from St Louis. The dirt that is above the cave sometimes fills them up. The trash pump is a good start, but you need buckets or a lot more water to wash out the mud.
What a gem! Can’t believe you guys went that far. Draining it was such a great idea and that last room was so cool with all the stalactites. The cave crew you brought out made the video so entertaining. Can’t wait for future adventures and see what’s beyond that question mark section on the map. What an awesome ranch!
As a guy who's done confined space work for electrical. I'm confined. Absolutely nothing will go wrong ever. At least, that's what I tell myself when I do it, lol. Panic will kill you quicker than anything else. Also, safety procedures are there for a reason.
Definitely get @divetalk out there with Mike Young to properly explore and document the cave and help preserve those beautiful crystal formations. Who knows if explored properly you may have found the next cave country destination for the cave diving community
Those stalactites are beautiful! It takes many years for those to form. My guess is that in the first room you found. Many of them had been broken off the last time it was explored. The second room wasn’t found by that group. I think I saw a column in that second room… not sure though. stalactites hang “tight to the ceiling”, and Stalagmites “might reach the ceiling” Loving this series!!
I haven't been caving in a long time. Man that brought back memories. Hope you liked being a rock eater! So awesome you are able to see and be part of caving. Few cavers actually get to map new areas. You are blessed.

I’ve explored a lot of abandoned mines in Arizona, some of which were expanded natural caves. It’s always amazing to find two or three feet of water underground in the dead of summer, and I want to know how crayfish keep showing up in caves all across the country. How does that work? Y’all looked like a bunch of kids sliding around in that mud, enough to make me envious of how much fun you were having. Thanks for doing this and documenting it on video. Wow, this brings back memories. I was lucky enough to be a part of a Boy Scouts Explorer Post supported by Monsanto in St. Louis (I do not need to hear the haters please) This was back back in the mid 80's. Monsanto was awesome. We were based out of their Main HQ in St. Louis and there were several Dad's that were employed there and Monsanto threw a ton of bucks at this Boy Scout program that allowed us to travel through out the Country doing everything from canoeing, white water rafting, mountaineering, rock climbing, base jumping, extended back packing runs, caving, and anything in between... Post 9747 High Adventure STL..... So to relate I repelled 100 + feet with a kayak attached via a carabiner at age 15 and we spent 5 hours paddling through Mid Missouri caves, dragging, swimming and squeezing all of us through... Loved it... The video Matt brought back a huge ton of memories.... Yes, I was in awe, scared, panicked, freaked out, in disbelief and wanting to come back for more.... Please contact the dive talk guys (Woody and Gus) they would be the safest guys to bring with so much knowledge . I t would be so cool to see them in this cave with you
Something to consider before breaking those straws.. They take decades (if not longer, depending on water penetration rate) to create. Also, oils in your skin can cause them to change color. If you want to preserve its nature, try to refrain from breaking them.
Stalactites are the ones hanging from the ceiling, stalagmites are the ones growing from the floor up. Just remember tite as in they are hanging on tight to the ceiling!
Hands down some of the best content I’ve seen in a long while on any channel. What an amazing feeling to see the rooms that nobody has seen in decades or more.
You could really make that place a real attraction with those caves. People love those kind of things. Love your channel. You had a YeeYee shirt on the other day hope your friends with the Smith? God bless🙏🏻❤️
Matt you HAVE TO invite the Dive Talk Guys, they´re serious cave divers and could explore the entire thing for you! It would be such an incredible collad, you gotta do it!
When you started the abandoned mansion I thought you were insane. After seeing the transformation I Know you’ve go this!! Looking forward to staying there some day!
You guys should try and preserve these amazing Stalactites and Stalagmite rooms! Those things take 100's if not 1000's of years to form! They are ancient and amazing pieces of Earth's history!
I think they were trying to keep them. The ones that got knocked off were accidental. It's a tight space and they are fragile. You can keep them intact, or you can explore. But you can't do both perfectly.
This was actually very cool! So many stalactites and great rooms, very entertaining to have all those videos from these adventure caves! Wait, did the crickets leave after the water got pumped out or did I just not spot any of them? 👀😁 Love the videos, you are incredible!

So glad you went with them because I’ve watched it from the start!!!
Just watched the Dive Talk commentary on your cave videos. They will deliver the goods for sure.
I never realized just how much i appreciated edward's calm, quiet nature on the videos til i had to listen to matt while im trying to look at the cave. You can tell he talks alot when he's nervous, lol.
The only way we have to know Edward is in trouble is when he picks his helmet/camera and films himself. That's when you know sh*t is serious.
Its insane to think about how long ago that was created and it’s the first time the cave has heard the echos and vibrations of your guys voices
Please contact the dive talk guys (Woody and Gus) they would be the safest guys to bring with so much knowledge . I t would be so cool to see them in this cave with you
Those soda straws are beautiful and so delicate - that room has been seen by almost no one, there is no damage to the formations.
Keep pushing Matt this resort is going to be epic man, everyone is going to want to visit!!
Something to consider before breaking those straws.. They take decades (if not longer, depending on water penetration rate) to create. Also, oils in your skin can cause them to change color. If you want to preserve its nature, try to refrain from breaking them.
I heard breaking them is really bad luck
This whole cave series has my palms sweating before you're done. I know you'll make it because you uploaded it but its literally my fear.
Same... my anxiety is through the roof 😱
I guess that means I seriously into it when I'm turning my head sideways to fit under the rocks. The stalagmite formations in that room are crazy!!
Stalactite!
Stalactites are the ones hanging from the ceiling, stalagmites are the ones growing from the floor up. Just remember tite as in they are hanging on tight to the ceiling!
@@KameraShy my bad, thank you!!
@@FastSS02 oh jeez that is a perfect way to remember it. Thank You, that'll never leave my memory now hahaha.
Every cave Episode just makes my anxiety spike and I love it
I knew these guys would bring a show for you Matt;)
Great series for sure:)
Matt you HAVE TO invite the Dive Talk Guys, they´re serious cave divers and could explore the entire thing for you! It would be such an incredible collad, you gotta do it!
maybe matt don't want to. or maybe the Dive Talk Guys don't want to come either.
@@funtyes1970they just dropped a vid a month ago about how they are talking to Matt now about it
Recommended you watch them to they make great content im not even remotely interested in diving and I like watching there vids 😂
When you started the abandoned mansion I thought you were insane. After seeing the transformation I Know you’ve go this!! Looking forward to staying there some day!
I’m still in awe for that big room!!! Everybody involved thanks for have big 🥜!!
Yeah I winced every time, and then when he snapped them in half - stalactites that long and thin are so rare 😂😭
This was actually very cool! So many stalactites and great rooms, very entertaining to have all those videos from these adventure caves! Wait, did the crickets leave after the water got pumped out or did I just not spot any of them? 👀😁
Love the videos, you are incredible!
Very beautiful cave formations. 😊
Yes they were
Man if what we've seen so far is any indication of whats to come, there are some major opportunies in the future!! The ranch is one surprise after another. So glad we're along for the ride!
Always majorly life motivational to me..... Salute , blessings to everyone's grind and motivations.......
