My daughter had been looking for THAT CHAIR. She looked for a year and a half. And when I mean looked, she looked several times a week online in every forum every few days also making it it known to all her viewers and online customers. During that time she only found a few and they were all over $1,500 because they have been discontinued. She knows that because she reached out to the company who made that exact chair out of banana leaf. They told her they had discontinued it, but had so many request that they were considering putting it back on the market. she finally found one on Facebook marketplace and paid $700 for it. (Not as prestine as yours)What you have is a truly unique piece and if you’re going to sell it, I would do it soon just in case the company decides to start making it again. If you’re going to keep it and you wanna keep it outside, make sure you coat it in an out door weather and UV protector. She loves banana leaf furniture and has several pieces and she discovered the sun will cause fade spots even indoors. Just wanted to let you know😊 What a great find!!
PS also I know she uses something on them once a year to keep them from becoming brittle. God Bless😁

Triumph is a British make of motorcycle .Original production started in 1902. Taken over in 1983 by another British company. $10 was a triumph of a steal.
The leather fireman’s helmet (FDNY style) goes for $800+ the copy made of a resin and nomex mix are $100+. I was a volunteer fireman in the suburbs of NYC and the volunteers always wanted to look like FDNY but couldn’t afford the big ticket helmets they have so the helmet companies make these. Good luck! I told you about that unique furniture a couple videos back, it's worth more than all those small collectable items. That jacket was nice also and these brand new items are a steal as long as you can sell them. I only go for big ticket items myself at least worth $100. I keep my eye out for art glass, jewlery, nitch furniture, paintings... things that people with expedable money can buy.

Kayla, keep that magnificent chair! You'll never find one like that again and it is so amazing. If nothing else, keep it for a while and enjoy it, then if you still want to sell it you can. It would look great grouped with some of your beautiful plants. I love it on the porch but, if it's worth a lot I would probably wanna use it indoors. Can't believe some of the buys you guys found on this outing. So many things were so cheap.Those are my kind of yard sales. I'm cheap, as well. lol Some of my best finds are things I picked up for a few bucks or less at a yard sale.

It's ok to get things for Kayla. She deserves it! She should keep the chair-very unusual. I wouldn't let it get wet as will mold and ruin it. If legs are hard on flooring, put rubber tips on it. You are right in that you'll come across things you'll never see again. Some things should just be kept. It's one of the perks of being in the business. Love Jim Shore's Shell Angel and considered it, but have different design returned that I gifted years ago. Think your Beach design is prettiest. Kayla, your dried floral arrangement in antique convex glassed frame is gorgeous. Hope you keep it. Kept forgetting to thank you for my stickers, so thank you. Gotta' figure a neat way to display. The Cairns helmets that command the big money are because they are leather. That 1010 is a plastic lid around $100 or so. Guys buy the leathers to actively wear them/collect them.

The fire helmet can be refurbished and used. My son just bought two “leathers”, as the Fire community calls them. We sold one on ebay and he used that money to get the other refurbished. He now uses it with his turn out gear at every call.

seems the numbers are the reason they sell for more. that one says n6a, others are 5a in that price range.
Try removing the liner of the fire helmet and look on that and inside of it for a date. I’m a volunteer firefighter in a small town and he have an attic full of that stuff! I’ll be watching to see what you find out because if they are worth money I will offer to sell them for the Fire department 😊
On the fire helmet, if you dig down past the interior liner, there should be a manufactured date on the actual helmet . Laws may vary from state to state, but in mine, fire gear is only good for 10 years for interior firefighting. The expensive one you saw was probably a leather helmet, which are crazy in price. Old metal helmets are also very collectable. Fiberglass/ poly/ resin ones do sell for wall hangers, but just much cheaper.

Is retired firefighter the fire helmets are basically collectors unless they’re in date if you sell one that’s out of date then it can come back as a liability to you

I wouldn't keep that chair in the front of the house because in todays world someone will see it and take it. I would put in the back yard and you and Kayla or company can sit in it while you're sitting out back. Or try selling for $500and see if it goes. It's such a neat looking chair. If someone offers 400 then it's worth letting it go. Otherwise keep it for this summer to use yourselves then sell it. Throw a old grill cover or tarp or something over it when not using so rain doesn't get to it.
It would sell for a lot more than $500.😊

I brought a STILL chain saw of Amazon it had 2 batteries I charged one battery up & when I went to charge the 2nd battery the plug started to crackling sound so I am sending it back to Amazon & I have emailed the company to tell them about the batteries and plug

The $850 Cairns and brothers helmet looks to be a leather helmet. Leather helmets have a taller appearance with taller ribs, also you can see the stitching along the edge. These are handmade and are very expensive.

The date for the fire helmet is on a sticker inside the helmet. Per NFPA they are only good for 10 years. So the one you have would be a wall hanger.

Wow at the good finds that day. That chair was pretty insane. The fire helmets vary depending on maker and year and some are more ornate. Could it be possible that the $800 one was newer and could still be used? All the ones I have found and sold were expired. Keep Hustlin'!!
