I have to say I am impressed with that spin, HOWEVER unimpressed with Samsungs poor response to the exploding machines from a few years back. People have short memories.
thanks for posting, we just purchased this washer from Lowe's and had in run through its first cycle and man it is sweet, so quiet yet powerful, my wife loves it.
Tyler Games yeah they had a recall about 4 years ago and a fix, they pretty much switch out the plastic clips holding the lid with lock in screws. Still running strong though.
I am hoping there will become a class action over this washer. One couldnt take a bath in a tub with just a gallon of water & expect to call it clean either. It's sad, I was very excited to purchase it Christmas 2012.
@@TheWASHINGMACHINEBOY well this post is a decade old. The washer recall and subsequent repairs destroyed it. Ditched it for LG front loaders about 6 years ago now.
Thanx for videos. My research indicates that any top rated washing machines built today (rated by CR, online reviews, JD Powers) have major problems. Knowing that, which 'best performance' top loader, would you say, is the fastest and easiest to repair. Also, would you buy the extended warranty on a new washer? CR'11 rates Whirpool Cabrio as #2 (Vantage was #1 but it's $2,000). My 4 yr old Cabrio was never a top performer & after a major repair, I'm afraid to buy it again. Thanks.
Well that is funny because the Whirlpool Cabrio uses a direct dive motor and the motor is not made by LG, because LG does not own rights to inverter direct drive technology. If anybody owns the rights to direct drive technology it would be Fisher Playkel. In fact they are the ones who make the direct drive on the Whirlpool Cabrio.
does it make that clicking noise when it goes back and fourth? is there a wash mode that allows the whole tub to fill up with water? is there an option to turn off the beeping sound and sound effects for everytime you push a button?
Im betwen one Samsung and on LG, both top loaders, both 8kg and 800rpm. LG has 4 levels AIR DRY, Im not sure about Samsung, not sure if it really works. But buttons for both does not seem strong, and to select a program on LG I have to press program button several times, but on Samsung I have a dedicated button for each.
+jmc6000 Thank you for your help. I actually need it because my washer keeps giving me an unbalanced error (3/5 washes) and then it won't drain or spin. I can get it to drain by running one of the other cycles but then the spin doesn't work. So I will use demo mode to get it to spin.
I hated my front load washer so went for an HE top load washer ( has no middle like yours) but don't like it either. They never seem to put enough water on the clothing to wash them /(
I hate my samsung top loader. Mine spins at 700 RPM's, washing a normal load of clothes takes about an hour and a half as long as they dont need to be washed twice.
I do the VERY SAME THING!! I hate mine. You hae got to have enough water to not only wash your clothes, but you need enough clean water to rinse them in. Mine comes out with tan gritty streaks sometimes. I am 57 yo female & my clothes never get very dirty. I hate this thing. I use my 5 gallon pail on every wash load. It's like washing your car in a quart of water b/c they've invented a new kind of cloth to use with the dirty water. I've really tried to like it, but really hate it. 800. machine!
Samsung is great at cell phones, but for appliances, I would steer clear, this series of HE washing machines is really a nightmare. We are looking to replace ours with the old style agitator that uses a normal amount of water, and the models we are looking at are hundreds of $ less. Go figure. BTW, the other day, the motor stopped working and there was a burning smell for about 20 mins. We turned it off, let it sit for about an hour, turned it back on again and it still works. Too bad!!
my samsung washer worked one time . water sensor error. i know samsung makes good products .but i sent it back sears is bringing me a new LG washer better reveiws and washer

I have the same piece of shit washer as in the video. It never loaded enough water. Samsung tech came out to look at the prob 2 weeks after we bought it, said he didn't know what the problem was (in other words Samsung can't fix it). At first we would take 5 gallon pails of water from the sink to the machine and dump it in. Then we got smart and what we do now is we start the cycle, let the clothes get wet, then cancel the cycle, then restart it again.. To wash a load takes hours.
Has anybody had problem with not enough water coming in? It seems the the water level is so low that there is not enough water to wash the load... comments pls... I have had a repair man here twice and not happy.

Coming from an LG washer fan! Samsung has always rated top in consumer reviews and offer plenty of rollover.
Until the recall happened:(
thanks for posting, we just purchased this washer from Lowe's and had in run through its first cycle and man it is sweet, so quiet yet powerful, my wife loves it.
I hope it never blown up the entire time you had it, because that is a problem with these kinds of washers.
Tyler Games yeah they had a recall about 4 years ago and a fix, they pretty much switch out the plastic clips holding the lid with lock in screws. Still running strong though.
@@ThomasPartida thats great
I like the sound when it starts a spin cycle
Me too

Love this washer. Use the demo spin to quick dry bathing suits when ppl come to our pool
but the drain pump doesn't run in demo spin

When it started to spin, i thought it was a Boeing 747 taking off 😅 (I had my seat belt on and the tray in the upright position)
zivko7 totally sounds like the engines firing up!
@zivko7 and dandano- yeah lol
zivko7 it also sounds like a class 323 (speed on x2)
Really!
Champiverse! Little Einsteins!
I've been looking for a video on this particular washer.
Definitely a direct drive motor
@opmike343 The cleaning performance is great!! Even in heavily soiled items, which the best cycle for those is heavy duty.
I like the sound of the washer in the spin cycle

It looks like a lot of bells and whistles for a lot of money.
Sounds like a class 323 train motor (put on 2x when it starts the spin test)
Awesome demo.
i had an awful day but thanks for posting...

How is the cleaning performance, particulary with heavily soiled clothes?
that's pretty cool! thanks!
How about AIR DRY opcion, is really usefull or just marketing?
Thats cool
It would be helpful if you actually had clothes in there so we can really see.

Acually these washer really don't share any parts with its LG compeitor so that makes it a better washer, because the LG Waveforce are junk!

When I put a Samsung into demo mode… it slows down once it reaches speed…
How do you like your top load washer?

@jmc6000 - once you power off and power on, is it out of the demo mode, or is there something you need to do to take it out of that mode? Thanks.

I disagree. LG has more positive reviews than Samsung. And I've seen a Samsung wash, and there's no rollover. LG's washers have rollover.
