I guess the real hero was the guy who draws his gun and gets shot dead..he intentionally draws his gun in the full view of the gunmen so the attention of the gunman was fixed on him, thus giving time for the other guy to draw and aim his gun to this dipshit head. his just like jumping to cover a grenade with his body so he can shield everyone around him.
If you watch the video closley he gets the head shot just as the coward is about to get a another shot off on someone

I'm very impressed with that young man. He stood up and spoke on behalf of his family. We don't know why he was chosen but I feel sure the adults in his family put a great deal of thought into it before allowing it. I feel sure they're very proud of him and how well he did.

Please pray for the family of those two security guards who were murdered Sunday at that Texas church. And for Jack Wilson, one of the other church members who was forced to kill that murderer in self-defense. For you can't shoot someone and not be forever changed.

Only people who have guns in Mexico are the police and the criminals my belief is if the population was armed to protect them selves the criminals would think twice about going in to a neiborhood and killing people in the middle of the streets.

I fully agree with you. We discussed this when our congregation took training. We decided the risk of one or two unintentionally hit by friendly fire is much lower than the risk of people intentionally being shot by the killer. The sooner the "second firearm" is introduced, the shorter the length of time shots will be fired. Simple math.

Props to the Guy who nailed a headshot from what looks like a good 20 feet, but HOLY CRAP the other people who drew their firearms had the barrels flying EVERYWHERE. Absolutely awful gun safety especially from one guy in particular near the center of the screen walking down the aisle after everyone realizes what happens at 3:05. He starts aiming at a BYSTANDER who had drawn their gun and realizes they aren’t the threat but then proceeds to walk through the aisle having his gun point at every person he walks by. I believe FBI Agent Brad Garrett to be wrong, if the numbers I've looked at are correct. The incidence of civilians being caught in the crossfire when an armed citizen defends themselves and others against an active shooter is almost non-existent.

When I've told people that members of the congregation at my church carry, the response is usually, "That's stupid." or "Why would anyone have a firearm in church?" THIS IS THE REASON! Protect the second Amendment.

This might be an atheist/ liberal perspective but I absolutely agree with registered gun owners being able to take their guns into places like churches or houses of prayer. You never know when some psycho with a vendetta is gonna come in and start taking lives, but I think it’s important to have people who are educated on firearms, there to act and protect their community. Reckless firearm use is a problem, but when educated, trained and checked owners carry, the only thing their doing is saving lives by being prepared and ready.
Generally you’re for self defense. Good . Yes many people carry everywhere they go regardless if it’s legally allowed.

What caliber did Jack Wilson use on the shooter? I'm still deciding between a 9mm and a 40cal for my concealed carry but I want to own whatever caliber he used on the shooter.
Go with 9mm more compact pistols available with greater relative capacity. Also less recoil. Cheaper practice ammo. Better hit probability. Remember it's always the Indian not the arrow.

We should be all thankful that there are men and women who are able to step up in moments like this, it goes all the way back to the man hunters of the old west, men like Frank Hamer of the Texas Rangers, who were able to do such terrible things on our behalf, there aren’t many who could shoulder the responsibility and nerve both before and after taking a criminals life, we all would like to think that we would but when push comes to shove but these brave people are willing and able. Taking someone’s life is a hard talent to hold and we should be eternally grateful for that.
N.B. I am a resident of the Uk where this is obviously a different environment but as recent attacks in London have shown it only takes a fanatic with a knife to cause terrible destruction and loss of life, it took a very brave football supporter from Milwall to advance on the threat before the armed cops were able to take them out, he was slashed stabbed and bloody when he told reporters that he said “you don’t scare me im f*#king Milwall mate” .....regardless of circumstance we need people like this because for evil to flourish it only requires good men to do nothing.

The FBI agent makes no sense. He says accidental crossfire can happen, and I completely agree. No one can deny that, but crossfire still occur when law enforcement arrives to responds.
