Parkway talking about their issues and mental health etc particularly on the small doco they did about it regardless how it made them look was so refreshing to see and hear about. More people to follow in those actions
I’ve seen parkway drive about 5 times and even though I am not happy with the way they sound now! I forever would respect them for the excellent albums they made for for the first 15 years! Some of my favorite songs for the rest of my live ❤
I'm hoping they do a world tour of Horizons for the 20th anniversary, they did a 10 year tour of it but only Australia. Would love to see a huge set-list of the first 3 albums. Never was able to catch them live when they toured on in the U.S. with the first few albums, one of the few bands I regret not being able to see when I wanted to.
what a cool dude! man, I swear, Aussie's are some of the coolest laid back folk I have ever met! Love hearing all the different surf stories, and different rockers prospective of life :) cool interview!
loved every second of this, PWD not just the music but the people and personalities in the band shaped my view of music, touring and just life in general. You will always have a special place in my heart. 🖤
Winston might be my single most fav artist through out the years, and been a fun since like 2009. although i stopped listening to the newer stuff the band came out with, i still appreciate the person that he is. ive been lucky enough to see them on smaller gigs, cause im greek, and its apparent that there is no BS with him or the band in general, just good vibes and unmatched energy
PWD now is different, but Killing with a smile set my standards. My taste in metal is all because of that very album, and the only time I've seen them live was the only time I witnessed a live show put a cd to shame. They've been around for 20 years because they are legends.
Parkway was my gateway into metal as a teen. Love the band and the guys. Their live performance elevates the recorded tracks so much. Absolutely love Parkway.
i listened to the conversation from 1 am to 3 am and i enjoyed it and i like the personal stories about the journy and the struggles. thank you for sharing.
This is honestly a great DWJ episode love this band and there is a parallel between Parkway and Avenged I can see this your happening or a really good friendship
There's so much in this episode that I never knew about Winston, I listen to Parkway Drive but don't know a ton about their History or the different members.
@parkwaydriveofficial I see the US Monsters of Oz is full pyro, please tell me that the Coca-Cola Roxy in Atlanta, GA has the means to accommodate! I can't wait to celebrate my 32nd Birthday by seeing PWD Sep. 10, and Bad Omens at the same venue Sep. 8!!! Right now, I've been playing out all of the albums to prepare myself to yell these songs with PWD! In Blood on Reverence has my favorite breakdown, All of Ire and Darker Still are so good! My daughter is 7 and every time we get in the car she'll ask, "Mommy, can you put on that song where he says 'DIG' in the beginning?" Land of the Lost and From the Heart of the Darkness are her favorites. Seeing her headbang and singing from my rear view mirror just warms my mommy heart. In my house, we absolutely LOVE us some Parkway Drive! See you all in Atlanta soon!! 🤘🏻🖤💜🖤🤘🏻
Parkway Drive donate to charities as well. One of the greatest metal bands in history & sum of the most humble dudes 🤘🏽 I’d also love an Avenged Sevenfold & Parkway Drive tour/collaboration! 🎸🔥
bruh Im gonna sound like im talking shit here but im not, I straight up remember seeing parkway at like Wyong youth centre and shit playing to like 30 people and to see them sellin out stadiums across the entire fucking world is so surreal, its so sick seeing how far theyve come, then A7X my all time favourite band so this interview is insane to me aha
As a person who lives in a town with less than 1,000 people, it always blows my mind to hear people who think that a population of 15,000 is a "small little town" lol
Fyi A7X haven't been to Australia since Soundwave 2014. Its been almost a decade. Zacky promised a tour after The Stage dropped that never happened, was way before COVID too. Honestly pissed me off, been waiting 9 years now to see you guys do another tour. A lot of us Aussies are pissed off. Please come back soon before we all stop even caring
when Winston is talking about music in today's style, ascetic (?) as trendy and especially with TikTok. Clips of personal theme songs to be trendy and whatnot. it's replaceable. people with that taste in music get tired of their music quickly. but people who love music, jam the same stuff over and over.
Negative. Just because something is generic doesn’t mean it’s awful. AC/DC=most generic rock band in history & you probably worship them. The album Darker Still isn’t that generic & is phenomenal Shameful you’re a closed minded metal elitist 👌🏽
What's your favorite Parkway Drive album?
Deep Blue
Don’t close your eyes
Crushed is a banger but also love the new stuff.
Reverence-my intro into the band!
Horizons
Parkway talking about their issues and mental health etc particularly on the small doco they did about it regardless how it made them look was so refreshing to see and hear about. More people to follow in those actions
What a hugely pleasant surprise to see people from two of my long-term favourite bands chatting to each other. So much joy watching you both.
Never thought i would see this haha
Need an A7X/Parkway Aus tour asap! Great chat, Winston's always someone I could listen to for ages.
I've got to be honest, this is probably one of the best & most interesting interviews i've ever seen.

Couldn’t have said it better myself 👏🏼
Fully agreed
Spot on

@bsx132 that was the best 10 year show ever.
Big 4 of Modern Metal Avenged Sevenfold, Parkway Drive, Trivium and Bullet For My Valentine
I think you've got to throw Killswitch Engage in there
Not listening much to Trivium, but I defnetly agree to the other 3
Avenged x parkway tour?!?!?!👀 plz
Would be so sick
@@heavypunkmetal Imagine a 2000s Big 4 show with Avenged, Trivium, Parkway Drive and BFMV
Exactly!
Would be a sick tour! Especially if they did arenas with all pyro! My dream show is to see Parkway Drive with pyro! 🔥🔥🔥
@@K1ngK0ng15 They are the best band I have ever seen live. You should go when you get the chance
Wow, this may go down as one of my fav drinks w Johhny, right up there with Jose Mangin. awesome conversation
what a cool dude! man, I swear, Aussie's are some of the coolest laid back folk I have ever met! Love hearing all the different surf stories, and different rockers prospective of life :)
cool interview!
I'm very happy to see members from my second and first favorite bands just chilling and hanging out! Really cool.
Avenged Sevenfold and Parkway Drive was a collab I never knew I needed until now!
What a fucking awesome chat!
1:33:31 “our bass player… he plays bass”
Ouch 😂

2 seconds in and I already love this interview.
One of the best interviews on this channel yet!!!

The 8-bit “wipeout” got me. Not even going to lie.😂
Byron is one of the most beautiful places on earth! One of my favourite getaway spots!

Parkway Drive makes me proud to be Australian.
This is one of the best interviews I’ve seen! Thank you!!! 🤘🏼❤️🎵
That's awesome, I enjoyed all of this from the alien talk to Winston's shirt lol. NEED a PWD/A7x tour! Dream team!
PLAY SYDNEY SOON I NEED MY YEARLY DOSE OF A PARKWAY SHOW !!!
This was such a pleasure to be able to watch this and also realize I have a lot of the same views as both artists
I love the show Johnny! Winston is such a treat.
so cool to see their connection!! :) great interview
Great interview 👍
Excellent conversation.
There's so much in this episode that I never knew about Winston, I listen to Parkway Drive but don't know a ton about their History or the different members.
Loved the philosophical discussion on the universe
Did we just become best friends?
Great episode
Parkway Drive one of goat metal bands.

my fav band... im so amped for knotfest in melbourne in 2023!!!!!!!!!
Surprised he never mentioned Michael Crafter in regards to them starting out.
some shit went down
@@olliewhitham6084 what do you mean
So crazy how Byron is now a town where no homes are under $1mil and the employment opportunities are in retail or hospitality and that’s it.
A parkway/A7X tour would be wild, they're energy would fit for a tour together
15:30 .... Shaped By Fate ?
Such an interesting chat 👏
How’s Winston just Chuck in “Existence is Suffering”. Haha. Legend. #samsara
this is exactly what I needed
Parkway Drive donate to charities as well. One of the greatest metal bands in history & sum of the most humble dudes 🤘🏽

Was my last time seeing them in BNE then. But I understand how expensive it is for bands to tour down here and that it maybe hasn't lined up for them.
Very bizarre but kind of refreshing to watch someone who has no idea about the band's very well publicized story go into this blind
avenged x parkway in Brazil?!
Avenged/Parkway tour would destroy the world!
He aged very very well!
😂😂😂
