Spencer!!! Hope you guys saw Tony Todd is down to cameo if farewell II flesh gets a video he retweeted it the other day! Can’t wait to see what’s next !
Crazy that Spencer mentioned not meeting Metallica in this interview and less than a year later they’re opening on their most recent North American dates. Amazing how far INK has come and the recognition they’re receiving from legends like Metallica.
This interview was cool because in many ways Spencer let his cool guard down (vocal affect, laughing, depth of answers) and made it clear that there was admiration for Johnny (rightfully so). I think this is one of the things that makes this series so great. These two together is one of the best pairings I've seen on here. Loved watching two kindred spirits connect like this. I will wait patiently for Happy Killmore.
@@DrinksWithJohnny Respect where due. But he's younger than both of us and looks half our age. I, too, apparently used lotion on the wrong body part(s).
Never watched Johnny with Drinks before, but did because I’m a huge INK fan. Didn’t even realize who Johnny was before I started watching the interview, wow! This interview is so amazing, and shows such an incredible new friendship. I love to see Spencer vibing and bouncing ideas off of a legend like Johnny. 10/10 want more of this!
I saw this comment and was like “yeah I don’t know Johnny either…” but it’s fucking Johnny Christ. This is dope. Really fell off on a7x after waking the fallen, but got a ton of respect for the boys. Big ol fat RIP to The Rev. that man is a legend. Pinkly Smooth was my shit.
The guy who wrote the album that defined music for me, interviewing the guy behind the most exciting album I've heard in a decade, and the interview is mainly about horror? This is absolute god tier content. I haven't been this giddy since I heard Waking the Fallen for the first time. Thank you
More than 10 years ago I listened to A7X's white album and got obsessed with their whole discography, favorite band ever since. Discovered INK's The Silver Scream last year. It's happening again. Now there's one guy interviewing the other. Beyond awesome.
I heard Ex-Morris and I thought “Spencer must have seen Evil Dead: The Musical” Bruce and Evil Dead are my horror loves, and I heard that song and just fucking loved it. I can picture that song being a part of that show. Hearing Spencer say he’s a big fan of theater….. knew it. Fucking brilliant. That song, and the whole album.
Just discovered them last week after seeing the album title, being a huge horror fan.. where the hell have I been!?!? After falling in love with In this Moment a few years ago and how theatrical they are, this is so similar.
Highly recommend checking out their last album The Silver Scream and Every Trick In The Book before that if you’re a huge horror fan. Also watch all their music videos you will appreciate them.
All the choruses are great to be fair I’ve caught myself singing everyone when it’s not even playing, love how they captured the spirit of and sadness of the candy man story in farewell II Flesh
It’s funny seeing this interview after my wife getting me tickets to go see Metallica and INK. Metallica is the band that got me into metal and INK is my all time favorite band. Getting to go to this concert is a fucking dream come true for me. 🤘 Killer interview Johnny! Would love to see a tour with A7X and INK in the future!
This is the 1st band I've ever seen who's music is reinforced by other artists masterpieces completely outside of the band itself- it just works. Lightning in a bottle
I have to admit.i have never heard ice nine .then I watched this vid...and it made me want to checkem out.And am I glad I did......bc this band is my new favorite band.well...new to me
Army of Darkness is fantastic. So good in its own right, but every one knows Evil Dead 2 is obviously the best film in the franchise. With that being said, any time I’ve introduced anyone to the franchise that’s the first movie I show them. It’s almost more fun to run it darkness, 1 then 2. Watching Ash go from a little bitch to a sarcastic deadite killing asshole is even better when you watch Evil Dead as a prequel. When you throw Evil Dead 2 in at the end the progression is truly realized. I love Bruce. If Spencer could swing Bruce into an Ex-Mørtis video my life would be complete.
At the beginning I flet like the conversation was a little bit stiff but man, further into and I laught my ass out 😂 Great video. Also, Love that moment 1:03:20
Love how your episodes are fire, they get better all the time and leaves me wanting more 🤘🔥. You should have way more views. Just like Johnny I heard the INK name but haven't listened. Definitely gonna check out the new album and videos.
This was such a fun interview! Really felt like just hanging out with friends. I constantly quote Ace Ventura When Nature Calls, that was immediately where my mind went. As someone who's also a parent in their mid/late 30s I feel that aging 10 years overnight thing.
My birthday's on Halloween... And my favorite songs have to be "A Grave Mistake", "Nature of the Beast", "A Rash Decision", and my all time favorite, "Rainy Day". As a metal fan, it's awesome. As a Resident Evil fan, it's THE BEST FUCKING THING EVER. Also, James A. Denisse from The Kill Count makes cameos in the videos of Welcome To Horrorwood. That's just the coolest thing ever!
Oh Johnny btw the Halloween with that scene you where talking about is the end of 4, I get them mixed up too cus I keep thinking thats 5 haha 😅 last time I saw you guys live was a couple years ago but can’t wait for new music! You guys were actually my very first concert back in 2007 foREVer 💙
I disagree Johnny, a lot of these new metal bands suck and sound the same, but mostly suck. The metal bands from the 2000s are the only ones still carrying the scene.
Thanks for checking this out guys!
Thanks for releasing an amazing album. Definitely album of the year for me, gonna be very hard to top.
If this is actually Spencer, then this is pretty dope.
Spencer!!! Hope you guys saw Tony Todd is down to cameo if farewell II flesh gets a video he retweeted it the other day! Can’t wait to see what’s next !
Amazing interview!!!!! I'd personally love to have a conversation with Spencer.
Now yall need to do a cover of A Little Piece of Heaven right?
We desperately need a tour with both Avenged and INK. That would be unreal \m/
Hell yea! That would be Killer!
Yes!!!!
I second this
M Shadows would have been SICK on Ex-Mortis too... next time :)
@@StoneGregory7 hell yea!
I love watching two people passionate about their interests just going off. It brings me such joy.
Crazy that Spencer mentioned not meeting Metallica in this interview and less than a year later they’re opening on their most recent North American dates. Amazing how far INK has come and the recognition they’re receiving from legends like Metallica.
Avenged Sevenfold and Ice Nine Kills tour would be incredible.

I didn't know Johnny had this channel Drinks With Johnny used to be on the main Avenged Sevenfold channel.
Johnny and Spencer are a match made in heaven... or hell, maybe
I ship it
I say hell yes!

Super stoked to see the admiration they show one another right off the bat. In this case "Real Recognize Real"
Great episode!!! Spencer is such a cool, down to earth dude! Please bring him back for more!

Fun fact charlie scene of hollywood undead cowrote and produced the song
The Pinkly Smooth In the background takes this to the next level 💪🏼

@@kyleprescott7898 I’ve been digesting the silver scream now that I know all the new songs.
This is a start of a beautiful friendship. Great episode!
Great conversation guys! Johnny you were right, I definitely wasn’t disappointed 😍🖤
Ugh I want Spencer to make a podcast ❤️🔥❤️🔥❤️🔥
This was a phenomenal interview! Loved every second of it
i love how people say metal is satanic, but every metal head i know of are just the sweetest people ever.
This was a great episode. Hopefully we'll see A7X and INK on tour together at some point, that would be incredible 🤘
“The Box” has the best chorus on the album. Cool to hear Brandon came up with that, and Spencer is open to that kind of thing.
All the choruses are great to be fair I’ve caught myself singing everyone when it’s not even playing, love how they captured the spirit of and sadness of the candy man story in farewell II Flesh
I still think Hip To Be Scared has the best/catchiest chorus on the album. But also love Assualt & Batteries and The Box chorus

Great episode. I'm gonna have to listen to more of their content.
love the pinkly smooth background music
"Killy Madison"! INK put so much thought into everything. glad to see the well deserved recognition!
Alright, where is the Ice Nine Sevenfold tour at?!😂🤘
God that’d be incredible
Love the pinkly smooth music in the background 5:15
13:00 I WAS AT ONE OF THOSE POP UP SHOPS!!! I met INK and I cried my eyes out!
Not Spencer just straight up drinking the wine from the bottle
This is the 1st band I've ever seen who's music is reinforced by other artists masterpieces completely outside of the band itself- it just works. Lightning in a bottle
best metal album I've probably ever heard.
I have to admit.i have never heard ice nine .then I watched this vid...and it made me want to checkem out.And am I glad I did......bc this band is my new favorite band.well...new to me
Spencer being a nerdy goblin icon for 1 hour 😅 also kudos on 19 Crimes wine choice!

I definitely agree! The unholy Trinity 🎃

These dudes really connected. But then again who wouldn't wanna be Spencer's friend? Such a cool guy.
Same with Johnny! They'd both be cool to hang out with, awesome interview!
This was so cool to watch! Love both bands so much!
is that Pinkly Smooth music playing in the background at 6:25? 😂 hella throwback
A7X is my fav band … & I just recently got into ICE NINE KILLS with this most recent album. Love it. Hop To Be Scared is one of my fav songs

Spencer loved ya'll at The Bourbon Theater in Lincoln Nebraska. You guys killed it. Also A7X killed it a few years ago in Lincoln at BlazeBash
