I wish more manufacturers had an option to leave the display on or allow it to time out. I prefer to always have it on. It basically doesn’t require hardly any wattage at all. Having all the ports on the front really helps if your power station is in a cart/stand
im not that happy with the B3A i find it depletes energy too fast. It charges fast but also discharges way too fast. I sometimes run my 10 amp battery charger that only uses 150 Watts. The EB3A will become fully discharged in a little over an hour. I'm guessing i should bought a bigger unit.
nobody tests power lifting mode to angle grinder, its motor is not induction motor I suppose it is universal motor and should handle voltage swings which may occur in power lifting mode.
It will wirelessly charge my airpod pros. This is a great sized for my sidecar. At home, I make up for the limited storage by connecting it to my two 12v forklift batteries and 2 100w solar panels. That gives it plenty of power storage acting as a hub.
You might be able to connect a battery to the Solar Barrel plug. That would charge at 8.5amps. That would give you about 114w of charging if the battery is at 13.4v, but realistically you would probably get around 100w. The unit doesn't allow charging from the USB-C port. It's output only. I hope that helps!
Hi Jim, Thank you for your videos. I have a question about the Eb3a coupled with a 100ah lifepo4 battery. I saw your other video where you showed multiple connections to charge. Let's say I am boondocking with a friend who has dead AGM house batteries in her class C RV and no solar nor generator are available. Would the Eb3a plus a 100ah lifepo4 plus the 20A Hasito battery charger you reviewed be able to charge up the house batteries? Would the Bluetti be able to keep up was drawing from the Lifepo4 Or would it be better to plus the RV (with a dogbone) directly into the Bluetti with the lifepo4 connected for capacity? OR is there another way? This scenario would just be for recharging house batteries while at camp while the RV refrigerator (works on propane when unplugged/ works on electric when using shore power) is running and everything else off except for internal monitors. I'm wondering about this for an upcoming trip when we will be away from plug ins for 5 to 6 days. Thank you for any input!
The EB3A would power the charger just fine. The battery would put about 100w of power in the Bluetti, but the charger would take out at least double that. It wouldn't be able to keep up. I would suggest getting a small 1000w inverter to power the charger. Take the EB3A out of the equation. Hope that helps!
If you considering it to be 12v system it would be 22.3ah. With these generators it's always better to refer to the watt hours IMO. Thanks for the comment 👍

@@budmartin3344 My apologies Bud. I completely missed that. Thanks for the info! I find that very interesting. I need to get a dc battery capacity tester to compare this with other Solar generators I've reviewed.
Curious if you've done any more testing with this unit on concurrent charging/discharging. The battery size isn't all that great, but if you can supplement from your solar 24v battery system or even tool batteries to extend the life, it would be a game changer.
Not yet. Right now I'm doing a slow burn test by just charging my phone every night. I'm planning on doing a full efficiency test in a 3 month review. After that I plan on using it like a UPS. Thanks for the comment.

I had to order my RC4 connector on amazon .when i ordered the specs said it was supposed to come with the EB3A but a lot of people complained they didn't get the RC4 connector either.
They were short of them for a while, mine came without one - I emailed after giving them time to catch up with orders because mine had still not arrived. They responded that day and I got it 2-3 days after that!! Impressed.
Mine had fan problems, it got hot fast, it put out electrical burning smells, mode buttons worked intermittently, and it wouldn't charge while powering something as advertised. It was a GIANT HASSLE to get a refund on it. NON EXISTENT customer service. Good luck to anyone that buys one.😄😂💣

That is true. I just think the unit is meant to be very mobile. That's why I was suggesting inputs in back. Thanks for the comment 👍

That is a downside. Twice the battery capacity would make a huge difference. Thanks for the comment!

I have a dumb phone
I am old a.f. I am a senior citizen, I am not a fan of todays cell phones
Do you need a smartphone to charge this? Is there a default charge speed? Can this work with no smartphone? How noisy is the fan?
You don't need a smartphone to use this device. The default is a medium charge of around 200w. Thanks for the comment.

My angle grinder is cordless! I could try a circular saw or reciprocating saw. I don't know the type of motors they use. Thanks for the comment.
