I really love the Sarasa Dry pen! I'm a lefty and it works really well, I never had smudging problems with it. I only wish there was a 0.25 version of it, I love tiny tip pens.
I actually started cheering to myself lol I love these videos! thanks for the upload today! I remember being so loyal to the G2 in middle school, the janitor actually gifted me one back then since he knew mine had run out! These days I'm a huge fan of the sarasa clip though (found through your shop ;D) you guys should have a physical location in the Bay area (NorCal) !! It would be a hit for sure. Or maybe don't open a location, that's too dangerous for us lol. Have a nice day, Jetpens!
I use 8 out of the 12 pens mentioned in the video and I rotate them regularly. I'm a sucker for fine tip gel pens, especially the 0.38 and 0.4 size. However, my all time favorite has to be Pilot Hi-Tec-C with Uniball Signo DX following close behind 😊
Patricia Budihardja I'm kind of addicted to super-fine pens. I like the Hi-Tec C best as well, but I have to admit that I get the least ink flow problems with the Signo.
this needs more subscribers i have extreme trouble and anxiety while choosing writing utensils like if you do to and that's why your are here after searching for the perfect pen on amazon for four hours
Love these kinds of videos! My favorite gel pen is actually one I re discovered! I was in 5th grade, (I’m 29 now) and had the Y&C Gel Xtreme pen and when it died I was so sad!! Then just a few weeks ago I found them again on jetpens!! I’m so happy because they still write like butter!
I love the Pilot G2 ! I use the 07 size in my journal and in my school notes and i think the pen is great! The grip is comfortable, the ink is a lovely consistency, and even though I write really small, the lines are always crisp and look printed! I never have problems with the ink skipping either. If you can find them in larger sets the Pilot G2 (in any size!!!!) is always a fantastic option. Such a cool video, thanks for sharing!
Sandra !! Sameee!!! G2 is the best. I tried switching to pilot gtech and the frixtion line but everytime it falls on the floor the nib bends. G2 is by far the sturdiest!
Frixion is one of my EDC pens and G2 is my "loaner" pen that I will write with on occasion, but it's not my favorite. The G2s are probably my favorite balance between "I sort of enjoy writing with this" and "I won't get too upset if they disappear". For the Frixion, I actually prefer the grey-black ink, rather than an extremely dark black.
I’m early, To a great video. Best thing I could watch coming home from a long day at school. This is a lot better then watching tv. I love your videos!
I recently got into liking using gel pens and pens with very fine points, so far I have only used Muji Gel Pen 0.38mm and Uní-Ball Signo 207 Retractable Gel Pen (this one the ink didn’t flow properly, it kept like stopping, even though it still had a lot of ink left so, so far I have only been liking Muji Gel Pen 0.38mm) is trying to find a nice Pen with fine point that is smooth for writing, dries up quickly, and the inks just flows normally. This video was helpful, I will still be looking at other pens to compare it..
Yey thanks for this video. This video is very informative to those who are planning to buy a gel but don't know what to buy because there are tons of pens of there in the market. Thanks for reviewing pens at least I had an idea on what to buy and how does this pen would perform. More videos to come. I subscribed to this channel, looking forward for more videos/reviews to come. :)
My favorite pens are usually .4 or .5 in size. I find that any size smaller than those are very scratchy. Pentel Energel and Hi tec c maica are my faves. I want to try some Sarasa and Juice pens in those sizes because I hate the smaller sizes so far.
Dean Girl yeah, it takes a lot more care to use a very fine pen. Some of my drafting pens will cut right through paper if you use any significant pressure. If you're looking for a smooth experience, you should try fountain pens.
Sarasa must have changed their recipe. The last time I used a Sarasa it was the worst thing ever. Made a really fat line, considering its fine tip, and ambient moisture was enough to cause it to smear. I've been using Pentel Energel ever since. I may try the Zarasa dry based on this.
You guys should also add a category on "long lasting ink" mostly for gel pens, because obviously gel ink is easy to ve dried up and all those stuff, and i think the most long lasting ink gel is the pilot g2, always my go to pen next to the sarasa
I used um-151 black for 14 years [for cursive handwriting]. The only complain I can mention is that it is prone to create ink blobs on its tip which I have to periodically clean off. Finally, I gave up and started to write in pencil. Last week I put my hands on a 0.38mm uniball 307. Maybe this pen drives me back to using pens again, it feels like an upgraded um-151.
Is the Pilot Juice better than the Pilot Juice Up? Or is it worth it to switch to the Juice Up? I've been debating between buying the Pilot Juice Up as a replacement or just replenishing my Pilot Juice. Help 😢
I recently discovered Energel... Now you tell me that there are even better choises? By the way i am a left handed and heavy handed High School teacher, so I go for 0.7 tips, but still there are so many great choises to experiment...
I use G2 a lot as I don't have to order them and can pick them up the cheapest of all these pens. The G2 are alright but they don't dry fast and they ghost like crazy.
Would you recommend the Pilot Juice or the Sarasa? I've heard good reviews for both but I'm not sure which one would be better. Thanks for the informational video!
Hi yes we ship worldwide. Shipping fees depends on your order and method of shipping. Please see our shipping page for more info: www.jetpens.com/help/Shipping_Information
One question please, but in one of your videos-you said that Pentel Energel is the smoothest, but why didn’t it was shown as the smoothest in this video?
It depends on what you're looking for! The Zebra Sarasa Push Clip has the wider range of colors and tip sizes, so if you like to color-code notes or use different sizes of pens, you should pick the Push Clip. If you need your gel pens to dry quickly, the Zebra Sarasa Dry is better. We hope that helps!
In some of the videos and comments, we have seen that you suggest Zebra Sarasa pens. We don't appreciate the suggestion -President, Pilot Corporation, Japan. Neither do we - President, Mitsubishi Pencil Co., Ltd., Japan.😄
58 seconds in and i'm already thinking that pilot better be sponsoring them and that they are very generic with their pens. Not a single one that is outside of mainstream
I really love the Sarasa Dry pen! I'm a lefty and it works really well, I never had smudging problems with it. I only wish there was a 0.25 version of it, I love tiny tip pens.
I would have sworn the Pentel Energel looked the darkest when all were used one above the other at the beginning of the video.
the sarasa dry is clearly darker
noo lol.
3 years later, Uniball One is the blackest gel pen money can buy.

I adore my Pilot Hi-Tec-C Maica, but I also like the Pilot's Hi-tecpoint V5.
Omg those are my exact favorites, too!!

I am using Zebra Sarasa Dry and Pentel Energel. They are magnificent for note taking. 😊
Can you do a ballpoint pen line up please 🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
We'll add it to our list!
JetPens thank you. I love ballpoint pens, I’ve used them everyday for school for 4 years.
Can’t wait to see it 🤗
yes please!
its there already
The Zebra Sarasa always been my favorite... This video shown that my favorite stills as one of the best gel pens!
Im getting the sarasa push clip, energel and the uniball Um-151. DECIDED! Thank u jet pens 0w0

Crazy Tesseract dropping pens are uncontrollable hahahaha guess some people like me are clumsy
idunno why my sarasa smears a lot when i use mildliner on it even though i already waited for more than 5 seconds
Yes, honestly the fastest drying gel pens are the pentel energel and the sarasa dry
Try the zebra sarasa Mark on or the pentel energel permenant maybe.
Ehh? Mine is good though.

This is a spectacular -- and spectacularly helpful -- video! Thank you for making it!
For me, Pilot FriXion is the best when you hate erasures... and Zebra Sarasa Push Clip is great for journals and writing permanent notes.
I’m early, To a great video. Best thing I could watch coming home from a long day at school. This is a lot better then watching tv. I love your videos!

I love the way you say Sarasa! in fact all these German and Japanese company's name with a smiling voice!

Thorough and simply done. Thanks so much!
You have the same Bullet Journal as me! Twinning!
Where did you get it. I fell in love with it lol. Sorry i'm late.
pilot Hi Tec C Maica, best pen in my universe, forever. Nothing can possibly be better. But I love fine tips THANK YOU for this video!!!!
2:25 Signo DX 0.38mm feels pretty scratchy to me, and by comparison Pilot Juice Up 0.4mm writes much more smoothly. 😎
My favorite pens are usually .4 or .5 in size. I find that any size smaller than those are very scratchy. Pentel Energel and Hi tec c maica are my faves. I want to try some Sarasa and Juice pens in those sizes because I hate the smaller sizes so far.

Pilot juice my favourite
Helpful info. Wish you had also include d"comfort in hand", which I realize is subjective, but sharp edges and so on make a pen a loser in my hand.
Thank you for your feedback! We will keep that in mind for future videos.

You guys should also add a category on "long lasting ink" mostly for gel pens, because obviously gel ink is easy to ve dried up and all those stuff, and i think the most long lasting ink gel is the pilot g2, always my go to pen next to the sarasa

Is the Pilot Juice better than the Pilot Juice Up? Or is it worth it to switch to the Juice Up? I've been debating between buying the Pilot Juice Up as a replacement or just replenishing my Pilot Juice. Help 😢
The Pilot Juice Up doesn't seem to shine in these tests, so Pilot Juice.
They're pretty comparable -- the Juice Up is slightly smoother but the Juice has way more colors.
JetPens OMG, THANK YOU FOR REPLYING. I LOVE YOUR CHANNEL.

We would recommend the Sarasa!
it really depends on preference. personally i’ve been more for the pilot juice for the vibrancy and colors :)
alana contreras I’ve used the pilot juice for a while, but IMO I thinks it’s not very smooth for taking notes and stuff
Ethan Wu yeah, i can see that. i have the .5 mm so that might make a difference. what pens do you usually use? (just out of curiosity)

sarasa dry vs push clip which should i get?
It depends on what you're looking for! The Zebra Sarasa Push Clip has the wider range of colors and tip sizes, so if you like to color-code notes or use different sizes of pens, you should pick the Push Clip. If you need your gel pens to dry quickly, the Zebra Sarasa Dry is better. We hope that helps!

I love how she says “sakutha” I mean, I know that’s how it’s pronounced but it’s rly funny when she says it
Zebra sarasa best product ever
What's a mild liner?
The mildliner is a line of pastel highlighters by Zebra. They come in 20 colours, and are double-sided, with a pen tip, and highlighter tip.
I like the voice of the girl , though she sounds like she is laughing during the recording (I love it)
