Growing up way back in the 70s thru early 80s, me and my two brothers were forbidden from ever ridding a motorcycle of any kind which included dirt bikes. Our mother was an Emergency Room RN and had seen the results way too often and had the mental scars that traveled with her always from the other parents children that had limbs ripped from their fragile bodies or their head taken plum off when they ran into an electric fence in a pasture and she never kept any of those injuries or fatalities hidden from us and anytime we had discussions regarding riding dirt bikes or motorcycles and she expressed the dangers of them, she would pull out a big box of emergency room photos of the aftermath of what can potentially result when riding and those pics have forever been burned into my mind and every time someone talks about me and my brothers having a strict life growing up, I’m Always rewarded by saying that at least I had a life to talk about that was an ongoing book that did not end at chapter 3 with a funeral. Mom did it from love and she has 5 kids that all survived our teen years and beyond and are still here today because of the dangers she so adamantly warned us about as kids but did so in a way that we listened and did not rebel against her strict rules.

Yes very horrible and unfortunate situation. And yes I am a rider. Was taught all gear all the time no matter what!! THIS KID should have had atleast a helmet. Judging by the lack of a small cc engine not going down my street today only confirms my suspicion that this was probably him and he lived close to me. Had I actually walked out of the house when I kept hearing him with my curiosity and gut feeling and seen him without a helmet and gloves I would have given him some. He had major odds against him but it makes me wonder if he would have still been here today had he had a helmet on at the bare minimum.
i knew this kid and we even fought in 7th grade but i pay my respects , i wont say his name for respectful reasons , but R.I.P bro and bless his family
A kid about 6 ran into the side of a neighbor's car as they turned into the street just down from my house. Kid was wearing a Bell helmet and that probably saved him. I saw it happen. He was going about 35mph on the sidewalk. He hit the brakes for all they were worth, but the knobby dirt tire just doesn't bite on pavement. He hit the driver's door and went over the handlbars and landed on his head about 2 feet in front of the rear tire. He was able to walk to the curb to get out of the street. I don't know any more than that though because I don't know where the kid lived.
My parents refused to buy me a motorcycle, telling me they were too dangerous (in so many ways). I didn’t miss not having one. Later while in the Army @ Ft. Lewis, WA; had a Platoon Sergeant broadsided by a vehicle off post one Saturday night. Messed him up such he was medically discharged from the Army.
I had a Kawasaki 1100 in the military. I was a private. We had an E-7 on a big bike and he told everyone that private is gonna klll himself on that thing. He later crashed his bike DUI. he got kicked out of the military just before his 20y. I did my 4y and got out.
They could have taken it away if he was not using it where he should. Just like drivers licenses can be revoked by parents before they become of age even if cops do not.
Horrific. I'll bet his mom didn't even know he was out. I don't think I've ever seen the officer get emotional, but it was wearing on him and the rest. And the driver. My husband and I saw this last night, and we were stunned.
I was guily too as a kid....i used to take my dirtbike out while parents were at work ....those little bikes are super fast and those knobbie tires are aweful on pavement
My asshat neighbour had a kid like that. Bought him every motorized vehicle out there, and he drove like a moron. Got killed riding an atv on a highway. No surprise there.
In2008 I was driving home in the dark on a freezing cold winter night and a twelve year old kid on a bike came out of a blind intersection right in front of me. No lights, no helmet, he ran right through a stop sign. Never saw him. I hit the bike and heard it scraping under my vehicle as I came to a stop. I was sure he was dead. As I jumped out of the car expecting the worst, I heard a voice behind me calling "I'm ok, I'm Ok, I'm sorry it was my fault". Come to find out, he got away with a sprained finger. I suffered a severe case of PTSD for months. Still gives me chills every time I think about it. I can only imagine what the truck driver has to go through for the rest of his life.

Had I actually walked out of the house when I kept hearing him with my curiosity and gut feeling and seen him without a helmet and gloves I would have given him some.
He had major odds against him but it makes me wonder if he would have still been here today had he had a helmet on at the bare minimum.
@@solskengroupllp2758. Figures.
i knew this kid and we even fought in 7th grade but i pay my respects , i wont say his name for respectful reasons , but R.I.P bro and bless his family
That's so heartbreaking. I have kids that ride and I can't imagine how these parents must feel. So sad.
Do they ride on the roads
Smokey and the bandit " id like to speak to the sheriff.. i am the sheriff.. what's this world coming to"😂
Terrible, absolutely terrible. His poor parents and friends. 💔🕊😥
I wonder if new Christmas present. Oh, the guilt. 😯
A kid that is 6 was riding a dirt bike at 35mph?. I must be misunderstanding.
Definitely not a 6 year old, 10 or older I can believe.
Horrible for the families.
Prayers for the family of the boy, Prayers for the propane driver. So very sad😢
I have a 13y son, my heart goes out to the family.
A parents worse nightmare. You all are in my prayers. The truck driver.. you are in my prayers too 🙏
Very sad 😢
Someone failed Physics in school
Do parents pay for damages to propane truck?
Condolences to the family of this child for their loss!
A 13 year old riding a dirt bike on the high way, where the parents at???
They could have taken it away if he was not using it where he should. Just like drivers licenses can be revoked by parents before they become of age even if cops do not.
Work,maybe
Life lesson learned.
We had a family that let their kids run wild. Almost hit one while plowing snow. Glad they finally moved!
My asshat neighbour had a kid like that. Bought him every motorized vehicle out there, and he drove like a moron. Got killed riding an atv on a highway. No surprise there.
Prayers for family and truck driver. I hope that wasn't a Christmas gift, I know that would make things worse on the family.
Propane truck not involved. Where's the damage?
The teen rider was traveling at a very high rate of speed and had to hit that propane truck hard to cause the bike to be damaged like it was. Damn. RIP
He simply pulled out in front of a multi ton truck, while it was at speed. Did you even watch the video, or read the description?
Prayers for the Young man and family and friends And Especially the Driver of the Propane Truck who will have that on his mind 4Ever😢😢🙏🏻🙏🏻
When did it become "legal" for a 13 year old to drive a motorcycle?? This could have been totally avoided.
its not
@@DJ-sn2xj wasn't supposed to be on that road which is illegal
How could you stop a 13 year old?? My parents couldn't stop me at that age. I done what I wanted to do.
@@bolivingston1400 Right, A lot of people in here acting like the kid had no adult supervision when I guarantee he had plenty and possibly worked really hard for this gift and wanted to enjoy it the way plenty of people do. I mean youtube is filled with reckless driving videos and I can't act like I am a saint either. This young kid just paid very dearly for a lesson we all most likely learned the easy way.
@@bolivingston1400 well i guess your lucky too be alive
My condolences to all involved.
Heartbreaking. 😢
RIP Young Man
not the drivers fault.
Right across the road from the housing plan on Grand Oaks Drive is a large section of woods and it looks like an entry point to that off road area directly across from Grand Oaks Drive. Was he heading to his favorite riding place and didn't stop before heading across Rogers Road? How sad. The holidays will never be the same for the family, friends, truck driver and responders. RIP young man, you left way too soon.
8 year old on an electric scooter was killed in our neighborhood last week.. these kids are not watching for traffic 😢
So very sad. I wasn't aware, living in the UK, that it was lawful for a 13 year old to be riding a motorbike.
It's not legal for streets but not uncommon for teens to zip up and down the road. We'd go to trails and trained our child up responsibly. Even on the scooter, thankfully. Not everyone makes it past doing dumb things in childhood. So sad. So preventable
This is so sad. I remember riding motorcycles around our neighborhood starting with a minibike at the age of 7. We were never allowed to leave the neighborhood, and we were taught to always stop at intersections even when there were no cars coming.
All that wet pavement is from the Firefighters washing the blood to the grass, the puddle on the grass is red ive seen this done from watching crime scene tv shows
I'm one of his friends. I was with him literally last week bro. His whole life ahead of him man. Hug your loved ones.
@jamiemorris5380 I am so sorry you lost your friend. I'm assuming you are a young person too and to show such compassion in telling people to hug their loved ones shows incredible character. God bless you.
Shouldn’t the title be: 13 year old kid drives in front of a truck and kills himself? Your title makes it sound as though it’s the truck drivers fault.. more clicks this way, I guess..
Incredibly sad.
Makes no sense why a 13 year old was riding a motorcycle on a public road . Kids should NOT be able to be allowed to fo this. So sad for the child and parents. But this d
Should have never happened it is not place too condemn the parents but this truly needs to be addressed to better parenting so that other children do not have this same fate
Teenagers think they are bulletproof. I genuinely wish they were.
So damn heartbreaking. Having been a truck driver, this would have been my worst nightmare.
So sorry for everyone involved. Healing from this kind of trauma is not really possible. You learn to live with the pain.
When I was younger I had dirt bikes I rode on the street I got my but busted along with my bike taken away for at least six months I did it again the bike got taken to the salvage yard and I had to watch the put it in the crusher I learned my lesson real quickly
Prayers to the family , he probably got the motorcycle for Christmas, it breaks my heart 😢
Why was a 13 year old on the road?
Because parens told him 100s of times to never ride on street but he went anyway being a young teen.
because when he went to school every one of his teachers told him that he doesn't need to listen to anything his oppressive racist parents tell him.
God ,Please guide this family with your grace.
I feel for this boys family being 13 yrs old who had no business driving on a public highway not knowing the dangers. It was unfortunate and that poor truck driver will never be the same again knowing he accidentally took a childs life. Prayers for all families
This is so sad, yet so preventable. Rip to that young boy. My heart goes out to his family. My heart also goes out to the driver of the propane truck. It will huant him forever, though he has zero fault.
This is an absolute tragedy. So very sad. No parent should have to endure the death of their child. It happens way too much and they’ll never be the same. Ask me how I know. I feel for the truck driver, too. He will be haunted by this for the rest of his life. May this little boy rest in peace.
Parents at fault ,should know better
I will be sending prayers to the friends in the family 🙏🙏🙏
So very sad too see.Rest in Heaven ✝️ All Gods angels are in Heaven ✝️ My condolences God bless the family ✝️🕊️🇺🇸
So sad for the family of the 13 year old and the driver he has to live with this accident that was completely out of his control
Jesus christ. Wtf was he doing running a stop sign! He'll never do that again
Sad to hear prayers for all
Should not be on the road with dirtbike parents to be blamed
What’s he doing on the road to begin with with a bike? Who bought it for him?
Maybe Saint Nick and his reindeer brought it to him! LOL!

Darwin Award. Granted.
Amzingly the headline is truck hits 13 year old NOT 13 year old illegally rides motorbike on hwy.
Ride in Paradise, Young man 🙏 My condolences, and prayers to his family. May the lord be with you in your time of grief. 🙏
Poor driver of propane truck and parents lost a child no one wins RIP young man.
Damn..13 years old your life is just starting , Incredibly sad for family, friends🙏
We all did/do dumb things But Please think before it's to late.
Love&light,peace💜💙
I like the way that first officer detailed the event. Like he was actually present and engaged in what he was doing. He didnt say uhhhh 20 times.
By not being responsible parents, they basically killed their child, and only 13 wow
Since when can a 13 year older, in Texas, ride a motorcycle on the street? Ridiculous. Not even old enough for a Learner's Permit. I feel sorry for the truck driver.
God this is horrible. So sad.
I was riding on the roads on my dirtbike behind other cars when I was 13 and I once ran out of gas, so i panicked and swerved over oncoming lanes into the farm fields because the river bank was a steep cliff on my right. I cut right in front of an oncoming car. But it was a cop car. The things he said to me over his loudspeaker remains with me today including the swear words and I'm 52. I got lucky. RIP young man.
What's he doing on a public road with a dirt bike.
we all did it as kids ..i used to sneak it out of the shead while parent were at work
People on here judging, so fourth. The bike could have had a brake failure, throttle stuck open. Nobody knows for sure, let’s have respect for the family and friends of this young man.
I’ve been friends with him and is family since pre k and I’m 15 now we grew up together and he was a great friend. Sad to see him gone
