Brilliantly said Chris! Your new founded approach to death in line with Día de Muertos is genuinely eye opening.
There is beauty of having the annual opportunity to celebrate life and allow the deceased loved ones to live on through memory.
The unfortunate truth is that not all get this chance (family are gone, poverty, etc.)

I am 80 soon and I find I’m thinking about death a lot. Maybe because many in my family are dead. Drs start treating me differently. Stick a stack of papers in my hand, what do I want done when I die, being asked if I want to be resuscitated. Being asked these things give me an awful feeling, as if I’m close to death in their eyes. Maybe they know more than I do.

hello ma'am. as for me, i am a 40 year old dude who always think about death. So ironic. Maybe its my depression but i just have to tell you that you are a wonderful person and that i love you. Try not to think so much of death as something bad. When a loved one of mine died recently, i thought that dying is not aged related...anyone can die in an instant, just like what happend to her.
We all die...its like getting a queue number. We all have it....we just dont know when our "number/name" will be called.
Try to be as happy as you can at the moment, thats what is important. ☺
      💙

Having a terminal illness, it’s kind of hard to hear Dr’s have dark humour about the demise of life. Not very comforting for the patient.
