In my opinion you made one misconception in this video: that there are only 2 options. I know you did it to stress your point, but I actually think people limit themselves by thinking there are only two options. Nevertheless thank you for the great video. I have been choosing option 1 (medical) since a long time because doing anything else makes my family hate me but now i understand that you have found me right. I think i just wanted to pursue affection in materialism but doing this is making me feel down. You have ADHD. Shifting and loss of interest for activities, longing for freedom and adventure. Such a loss to spend 6 years in medschool and then drop out. People should be better adviced and screened prior to making such a step. Inrolling in medschool should be only for the die-hards and trully motivated.

I don't know if this is just me, but I have always had trouble coming up with goals. I have always wanted to have some goal to try and achieve like a bunch of people I have seen on the internet and in my life, but I cannot think of anything that I would really like to achieve in the next year.

I've been contemplating this myself. I'm a psychiatric nurse practitioner working in community mental health and burned out beyond belief. I've been working 100% by Telehealth for the last 5 years and have so much freedom but still miserable as hell. The thing we have to think about in the US is having a medical emergency while unemployed. Or just not being able to maintain routine preventative medical care. No free healthcare as the UK. I guess risks vs benefits applies here. Thanks for sharing your experience. Cheers to you!
