- Room video of the basic room with king bed & ocean view at the Riu Emerald Bay in Mazatlan. Rooms feature a private bathroom, plenty of closet space and cupboards, a ceiling fan, air conditioning and a decent sized balcony overlooking the pool and beach area, with amazing views of the sunset.
This family-friendly resort is mid-sized, with 1024 rooms, but itโs very well laid out, with everything quite nearby. There are 5 pools, a full sized waterslide park, splash park for the kids, a variety of buffets and a la carte restaurants, and plenty of bars to keep everyone happy.

What number room is this?
Hi ShanBaby! I don't recall the exact number but it seems to me we were on the 8th or 10th floor. High enough that it was a pain to walk down to the beach via the stairs but not impossible. One day, a massive fog rolled in and our room was above it, so we escaped the cold of the damp beach and sat on our balcony in the sun! Thanks for watching!
Ahhh good to know we were there in November and we were on the first floor in the old building and we had an upstairs and a downstairs with two bathrooms. it was nice but now weโre going back in April and we want to be higher up so we can have a nice view of the ocean and the pool. Upside to being on the first floor is that it was super close to everything and I heard that the elevators are a pain but I would really like a nice view, especially since our view in November was us going out on the balcony to the roof
@@1977shanbaby Oh I saw those rooms and wondered what the deal was with them! Yes the elevator situation is a pain but - PRO TIP: if you want to go down and it's busy, hit the UP button. Catch the ride up and sail down once it hits max capacity (and this was maybe the first elevator I've ever been in that had an auto switch for max capacity & it just wouldn't stop at any more floors - pretty impressive tech.). You don't have to be super high up to have a great view BUT if you prefer a newer room, you'll want the new building, which is low rise. The rooms above the buffet have a view of the pool/slides and ocean but would be a bit noisy in the morning.
Thank you so much for the added suggestions with the elevator. This will help with our trip a ton, especially with having a little one (sheโs 5 lol)

Hey Bryanna! Yes surprisingly so!! I was a bit apprehensive at first and then it was so clean and hardly anyone begging for money or hassling you to buy junk - Iโve probably been to Mexico 100 times and never felt this safe before. Was quite the shocker!

Hi All Ways! Itโs mostly being followed but there are and always will be some who just do what they want. Mostly, it feels like a smoke free resort and the town is reasonably smoke free too. Thanks for watching!
