help need instructions for a prism shape origami box that is like the star box tradional model. I made one over sixty yeas ago and do not remember how. We used them to put candy inside and placed them on the Christmas Tree at school. Yours is the first one that comes close. Your help is greatly needed. Thank you Paula

this is so confusing
I've been subscribed to your great origami tutorials for a long time so I can say I'm a fan.
I also teach origami and have only one bit of advice. You often fold paper off the table or "in the air" and, for an expert like yourself, that's okay. But, for many people folding paper, especially for this model, folding on the flat table is the best and easiest way to do it well or precisely. This assures the best results for any type of box models.

I really like your star #origami box, I made it out of a magazine page with a color I liked and I have it on my desk to use it as a mini-litter can for very small bits of trash like paper and bits of packaging string, etc. Thanks a lot for another great #videotutorial ^_^ arigato!

when i did this at school someone asked me what i was doing and i said "origami" and he said "oh that Chinese thing" and i said no its Japanese and this foo said "no its Chinese" and i deadass pulled a book out of my bag that had 500 sheets of paper that said JAPANESE ORIGAMI PAPER and he said "yes its Chinese" and i was like wtf and i said "are you illiterate?" and he said "are you stupid? Japanese is just the american saying of Chinese" and a part of my soul died.

Um I was playing around with a piece of paper a few years ago and I didn't know what this box was or if it wAs created. Anyway I made this box BY MYSELF NOT KNOWING THIS WAS AN ORIGAMI PIECE. I claimed it as my own design though.

I know how to make this without the middle lining. The first time I did this is with the middle lining like in this video. So I tried experimenting by opening up my first model and try to figure out the unnecessary and necessary lining in order to create my second model without the unnecessary lining and I did it by using ruler and pencil to make the necessary points. You guys should try it too! It looks so much better without the unnecessary line!
