How should wait until you cut your lawn after applying? Should you bag your clipping or mulch? And how much time afterwards should you apply a 2nd treatment? I'm like 2 years late sorry lol..
Love the comments in the video, hate that freaking spreader you have haha. I had that thing when I first got into lawn care, then it broke. My dad had one just like mine and gave it to me, broke even quicker lol. I still have the memories though, but seeing it makes the anger boil again haha. Great video dude. Throwing it down today actually. Let Freedom ring!!
I love that I can control the spread better with the scotts spreader. I like being able to pull open the shoot easier. I look froward to your video on the Freedom Fert!
Okay. Understood. What about fungus and grub control??? I use Jonathan green products for those control applications. Is that ok with you guys? Regards
@@brodygoalie Freedom uses the same rates and spreader settings as all of our fertilizers which means it goes down at 3lbs/1,000. At that rate, an application of FREEDOM will bring you .51lbs/N/1000. This makes it the perfect fertilizers for hot weather - it will not cause flushes of growth and won’t burn the lawn. 25% of the nitrogen is slow release. We utilize Ammonium Sulphate as a portion of the nitrogen in the blend which brings along with it secondary nutrient sulfur. Sulfur is important because it’s essential to chlorophyll production and chlorophyll is what gives grass it's base green color. Ammonium Sulphate (AMS) is one of the keys to unlocking the FREEDOM green color this fertilizer delivers.
From my understanding @ 3lbs per 1000sq ft, you are only throwing down .51 lb of N. Usual applications have .75 to 1lb of N per 1000 sq ft. So it is lower than normal and just enough to stimulate a little growth since the N is slow release as well.
Just ordered the 17-7-6. I wouldn't buy the other granular fert from YM. It all has oxidized metal which grass cannot uptake unless the pH of the soil is 6.0 or under. To me it's a waste of money. You had great results.
If that was my lawn I would be addressing the clover next to the driveway. Just saying. The high speed video of you spreading the fertilizer was not really needed only made me dizzy.
Thanks for the feedback. I strive for a lawn that uses less chemicals. A little clover I am not going to kill myself over. Lawn overall looks good to me.
I completely disagree. I have a Southeast facing lawn on the Colorado front range, and I have RPR & Midnight Kentucky Blue. I've noticed the turf standing up to the upper 90's, and a couple days right at 100-102° without starting to go dormant. My lawn is looking fantastic right now, and it is hot & dry AF!

Mulch is you can. I would wait a week to mow.
Looks good, I dropped Stress Blend to help wit the heat wave we are having in Jersey. How is Freedom fert holding up this week?
Just threw some more down. Check out my newest video.

@@WooderBoyProductions Oh thanks man, very kind of you. Really excited to see results on it as well. Favorite time of the year!!
🌞Cool video! Just subbed! Red, white and blue fert! So cool!👍⛳
Gotta love Freedom. Thanks for the sub. Enjoy the content.
The nitrogen in this comes from polymer-coated urea. Polymers can be synthetic or organic. Just sayin'
Okay. Understood. What about fungus and grub control??? I use Jonathan green products for those control applications. Is that ok with you guys? Regards
Whatever works for you. I used lawn box grub control. It’s another video on my channel.
Looks good. putting my freedom down next week hopefully get the same results as you.👍👍
Hi Alyn, can I apply the 0 0 48 and the 17 7 6 at the same time?
🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸
Great product.
17 seems like a high number to apply in late June early July??? The Jonathan green summer survival first number is 13. Please advise. Regards

@@brodygoalie the application rate is only 3lbs/1000 which is going to only deliver .51 lbs/N which is perfect for summer.
@@TheLawnCareNut curious for a Scotts rotary spreader. What number is used on that rotary spreader?? Thanks
17 the first number is not too high for late June early July?? Talking about ma. Area regards

Good luck no no longer use yard mastery
@@WooderBoyProductions why did you stop using it? What do you use instead now?
@@killyamomz gotta watch some of my newer videos. Yard mastery is a rip off.
Organic Lawn.. How of this bag is organic?
No herbicides.
@@WooderBoyProductions I was just checking the name organic lawn but you’re applying synthetic fertilizer Mixed with biosolids
@@FescueFreak how is biosolids not organic.
@@WooderBoyProductions It’s not considered organic with the pharmaceuticals and heavy metals that are in it.. It’s definitely not organic certified
@@FescueFreak I strive more for no herbicides in my lawn. That’s my definition of organic for my lawn.
Is there another product similar to Freedom?
What are you looking to achieve?
Love this product review!
Joe think you put out a couple weeks ago list of 4 recommended ferts and flag ship made your list. Why the falling out?
I need to update the thumbnail. I still don’t use it because it’s overpriced.
@@WooderBoyProductions damn I should have read your comments farther down, you did say that! Thx
Are you planning on changing your channel name to synthetic lawn warrior now? Lol
The plan I use is a Hybrid Organic plan. I use no herbicides in my lawn. That is my definition of organic. No "cides" in my lawn.
Wait yard mastery is considered organic?
My definition of organic is no herbicides in my lawn.
It’s not a organic fert
@@FescueFreak understood. But I’m not throwing chemicals in my lawn.
Your video included many things not explained in other reviews!
Everything is listed on the website as well. What wasn’t explained?
@@WooderBoyProductions I was writing that you said more good and interesting things than other reviews!
You know....complimenting your completeness!
Lawn looks good.
Thank you. Hard work pays off.
At what setting on your scotts mini did you set your spreader at when spreading the flagship freedom fertilizer??
5.5
Congrats on the YM feature! New sub here. Just saw the email blast. Great product! I literally just threw some down moments ago!
How often can u put this down?
I would say you could do at least once a month.
