FCG’s sacrifice is my “where were you when Mollymauk-“ moment I remember watching live fully convinced of a TPK, (Matt even jokingly accepting that might be the outcome) and every time Otohan made any move my heart was in my throat, my mind constantly replaying ep 33 on loop and all I could think was “RUN” as she pinned them down one by one and had Chet not been revived I think they would have. They were obviously convinced at the beginning that this was the time when they would get the upper hand over her and Otohan’s near miss because of FCG’s clutch banishment a couple of games ago must have done nothing but bolster that belief; heck they even tried to prepare this time. But when Otohan pulled out that potion and the Chat exploded there was only one outcome in everyone’s heads …. except Sam, who because of his health was going to have to leave for a bit anyway but also because he remembered something we all didn’t in that moment.. His heart. And so one of the most terrifying villains in critical roles history (and definitely one of the hardest boss fights) A villain who had slayed a beloved mentor, Imogen’s true love, Orym’s dad-in-law and husband, and attempted to kill the Voice of the Tempest, legendary war hero, Exultant, and one of the Big Bad of Critical Role’s top warriors ( say what you want about last episode but you KNOW had Otohan been there it would have been vastly more harder) was defeated not by an army, not by legendary heroes, not even by someone important to history, Otohan Thull , Legend of the Peaks, was taken down at long last by a devoted therapist, baker, flat Exandria truther, healer, brain delver, porn director, and a redeemed cheerful optimistic little aeormaton who finally after searching for his purpose felt alive, and let us never forget that little robit was smiling when he went out like a G.

FCG's sacrifice is still one of my favorite moments ever. like you can stop and watch everybody emoting: seconds before it happened, matt realizes the fight he made is about to be a tpk until sam says "i will cast lighting bolt and i will aim it at myself". Then you see Ashley, Marisha and Laura's reaction and they're in shock. Liam is about to cry, Tal is pissed as fuck turning his head from sam to matt, then there's travis willingham who's in awe of his friend. Edit: i forget, FRIDA doesnt know letters died
@@hadesblackplays it’s up there as one of the best moments for sure Refjorged and scanlan counter spelling vecna are the only 2 moments imo that might be ahead of it
C3E111 may be the best episode of Critical Role ever. I don’t know how they are going to make an abridged version, none of it belongs on the cutting room floor.
@ it’s been a great year and part of that is due to people like you always commenting and sharing your thoughts on my videos thank you very much for that 🙏🏻
Amazing video!!! I loved it. One of the things I have been thinking about is how FCG would feel about Bells Hells beating Luda, and having the choice to free or not free Prodothos, and they chose to release him? Also one of the main PCs that is thinking about releasing Prodothos is the one that loved him the most (Ashton), and has on several occasions during discussions about what to do has invoked the name of FCG, and kind of used it to throw shade at the PCs that he disagrees with. Like come on Ashton, if FCG could hear you argue against the Gods right now he would wish he hadn’t saved your ass.
@@raymondf3670 yea the fcg moment was a no brainer and that other moment will for sure be on the best moments of campaign 3 for sure as well when i eventually do that
I just realized watching this Caleb could have done even MORE insane fireball damage with the timestop because if I'm reading it correctly, delayed blast fireball gains an additional d6 each round it doesn't detonate, and I think Liam missed an upcasting d6 so he could have done TWENTY SEVEN d6 damage lol
@@andrewhuerta7168 I liked downfall but when I tried to find moments from it I personally didn’t find anything I liked more then what’s been happening in the normal game especially lately bells hells have been cooking
