Decided to just hop on and have a go at damnation mode and the guys I got matched with wanted to take a crack at the extra hard version so we went in and pulled it off and it wasnt even that stressful. It's gotta be said this game is so much better when your team actually knows what they're doing and can handle themselves.
This mission really makes me feel like an outcast for only having a Psyker. Very insightful video though. Gonna tweak my build and approach slightly for this fight now based on this.
Was farming this with several random peeps until i found the perfect one, completly devoted to getting this achiev! 2 gun ogryns, boss killing one hit kill zealot and my support vet that was tagging the bosses for extra dmg and over shield voice of command without ress. Also add the recover grenades from ammo crates for Ogryns nuke grenade to quickly disperse of elites. After roughly 5 hours later we got the achievment and friended eachother on steam. Aurics feel so basic after this fight its actually crazy... xD
4:00 With Bolter, it's tempting, but unless enemies are densely packed in a hallway or staircase, DO NOT SPRAY into the crowd the enemies just duck for cover and the fire rate is such that you will hardly hit a thing 😐
Ive got my "kill everything" shovel/kickback ogryn, but playing with randoms makes it tough. I got it done on damnation with randoms, but I might need the discord to finish hard mode.
You get a slightly different insignia from the damnation one. It's has golden edges and some more details on it. It's pretty cool, but I would of much preferred a new frame!
Went to do my first tries at just doing the Damnation run and the very first run the group fooled me into hard mode cause I had no idea what the bell meant that they were hitting 😄ended up getting slaughtered.
It's a brutal fight, I love the challenge, but I do kinda wish they limited how many of a certain enemy spawned. I think I counted 12 rangers spawn at one point 😂
8wound martyr, old eviscerator (keep forgetting the mk) and either the kantreala AG or the ADS revolver allday erryday. I say this before having watched the vid tho. might update after, but doubtfull. i trried the meta built with tucholsky mk7 and the autopistol. i might like the pistol, but i dislike anything that isnt chainsawed it seems. sometimes knife zealot with quicknives and stealth is fun, if you just want to speedrun weeklies.
So this is PC friendly, as on console we don't have mods to help us to complete this. I wish we had the same access the enemies health bars etc, would make a huge difference to be more aware of whats on the battlefield. Great info tho. Thumbs up from me 👍
The health bar mod isn't a must to get this done, but more information is useful. From what my friend says (plays console), the strategy and tactics still work well regardless of what you play on. Good luck! I hope you conquer the karnaks!

smite psyker is pretty helpful to control hordes
Psykers can absolutely help with this fight and hold their own!
you can change the vet to a psyker with smite, the cc of smite made the fight a bit easier none of us even went down once

Agreed spraying is not the way, I just have a tendancy to do it from time to time. Plus, my palms were sweaty from this fight!

Vet with plasma gun, power sword, and a voice of the emperor build is so godly op
