This was my 3rd comrades but my first UP Run. The UP Run is a MONSTER compared to the Down, let none tell you otherwise. Was targeting the BR medal. The Sub9 bus caught me at the Umlaas area... Try as I might I couldn't stay ahead of it coz of the climbs plus the body was at its limit, so I joined them. Polly Shortts decimated me & I cried as the bus left me there.., but the last 6km I put up the fight of my life (even as I was cramping badly) & caught up with the bus @ the last km & got my first BR medal & PB. Huge respect to everyone who lined up to face this thing, & great appreciation to all who came to support, your encouragement carried us through.
It's clearly gonna be a challenging one but bring it on! It's my back to back year so no two ways but take it head on! Very useful and informative video for psychological preparation. Thank you folks!
This is great, thanks. I also like the Drummond video that shows actual footage from the course. The more of that you can provide to us American novices, the better! :)
Perhaps a Garmin connect profile map. Also I hope there a sufficient boardmarkers. Most watches pack up towards the end. Those board markers become a great help then.

The voiceover is so calm, naming the hills as if it will be a walk in the park... Love it!! 😂🤌I hope to be this calm on ALL the climbs 🤪
