      I'm curious as the guys were talking, if Caleb is very teachable?!?! Coach & others on "First Things First" have shown things that Caleb put out once he learned he was drafted to the Chicago Bears!!! I also saw where Caleb b4 getting drafted, said publicly how he could do ANYTHING that Patrick Mahomes can do as a quarterback?!?! That's quite the hubris!!! SO, my question is, "Is Caleb teachable?! Does he think he's above learning from the Veteran Receivers"?!?!

    The sports media came out and said “Caleb Williams is a generational talent” which is funny because Patrick Mahomes actually had to prove himself first before getting the tag generational talent or quarterback.

    • @musume7723
      @musume7723 11 дней назад +26

      Ever notice how these dudes who were called "generational talents" almost always flop, and the guys who make it were always the ones who were doubted?
      No one was calling Mahomes, Lamar, or Josh Allen generational. Lamar was almost a second day pick. Even Burrow was doubted b/c he lost his job at OSU and had to transfer to LSU to play and built his draft stock off of one year (incredible year, but still).
      Meanwhile "generational" Trevor Lawrence is pure cheeks and Caleb is looking like he's gonna follow in his footsteps

      @@musume7723Well said!!! I'm starting to think that Caleb thinks that being a QB in the NFL is ALL & ONLY about being able to run & play out of the pocket & throw from different arm angles?!?! He said before or right after he was drafted that he could do ANYTHING that Patrick M could do?!?! Obviously that's NOT true! Don't get wrong, Pat sat his 1st season, himself, to learn under Alex Smith their QB & Coach Reid!!! BUT what impressed Andy Reid aside from what he saw on tape, was Pat's football 🏈 IQ & his memory & ability to learn the plays!!! It's the cognitive part that I wonder has Caleb learned anything?! Caleb was guaranteed to make Bears instantly better than where they were with JF1 who had half the team. He came in with a chip on his shoulder and acted like he is the best ever to grace the draft stage. His team wanted ownership stake in the Bears. He said to the punter that punting won't be needed. He said the team is bringing him in to shift to a passing game (shot at JF1). He walked into the best situation for a #1 pick in the history of NFL. He said he will throw for 4,000 yards in his first year. This attitude doesn't go well with the veterans when you're not even half the hype. Compare it to JF1 who said he thanks God each day to be playing in the NFL and bows his head down in respect when speaking to the senior players.

    It’s crazy that 4 nfl players that played at a decent to pretty high level can’t fathom that the players that see Tyson and Caleb everyday in practice sees that at this point Tyson is playing better everyday. This doesn’t mean that Caleb isn’t the future but at this juncture Tyson is further along.
    Also because they are so enamored with a player that they are over looking the option that Caleb might be a bust. Zach Wilson was the number 2 pick of the draft he not good. Cannon of an arm exscapablilty but is unable to process fast enough.
    The game might be a bit too fast for Caleb right now and he needs sometime. This was a horrible segment by “football guys/pros”

Something that's funny, is that Travis Kelce played QB when he was High School & a little in College. My guess he wz probably a great QB, esp, in High School?! BUT...Jason Kelce, along w/ Travis & Pat, they discussed whether Travis could've bin a QB in the NFL?!?! Tbf it was Jason who asked Pat, if he thot Travis culd've played bin in the NFL?! Pat ended up saying no, b/c Travis wzn't able 2 process things as fast cognitively as it takes 2b able 2 play QB in the NFL! Only time will tell if Caleb is able to play QB at the NFL level?!?! Nothing new, Anthony Richardson (no.4 overall pick) benched after about 10 or so games. Bryce Young (no. 1 overall pick) benched after less than 20 games, about 18 or so. Two very recent examples of top 5 picks getting benched or locker rooms not happy with a young QB's performance. Caleb is on that trajectory, if not already there.

    So... binning Zach Wilson, Mac Jones, Trey Lance, or benching Bryce Young or Anthony Richardson is absolutely fine and sound, proven pro football practice, but suggesting to sit CW is somehow blasphemous? Are those guys for real... or is there some kind of NFL memo going round the media?

  • @unruhe24

    Does not help him that 2 years ago he was talked about and hyped up. That had an impact on him and his mindset into the league. Be humble CW it will happen for you if the talent is really there, that what everyone says about him. He needs to learn a lot more and be ready to be bad at first

I remember this one guy named RG3 everyone was raging on about being the best new qb ever. Won offensive rookie of the year.... he went no where. Give these kids time to play. He has no offensive line, bad leadership, ownership, and coaching. Look at baker mayfield playing his best ball ever. I remember Deshaun Watson was supposed to be so so good. He a bum now too. I have watched the Bears for over 20 years, Caleb is not playing well and there are no amount of excuses to bail him out of how he is playing however, I am fine with him going into the future because he's a rookie anyone who thought he was gonna rock out this season was ignorant. I'm fine having him as our future quarterback but he has to improve 100%.
