Star Fox 64's voice acting was the campiest thing ever. Though I can sort of see why people don't like the voices, I don't get why they're making the biggest deal about it.

Man, the VA's sound like they didn't age well. (Falco has the most decent voice.) I mean, KIU and FEA had amazing VAs, so how did they screw up with the Star Fox casts? I guess It'll grow on me like Roger Craig Smith did for Sonic. Hopefully, they'll improve in the future Star Fox U game.

The reason why they used him instead of Jim Walker (Fox's voice actor in Assault) is because he was in the last Star Fox game that Nintendo released. Also Falco is voiced by Mark Lund from the remake, not from the original Star Fox 64. Slippy kinda sounds like Lyssa Browne, who did he's voice in both Star Fox 64 and remake. I don't know Peppy's voice actor. He sounds like Jaz Adams from the remake.
Whatever you may think of the voice acting (personally I don't think it's that bad), the dialogue itself really isn't too bad. Sounds like something you would hear in a starfox game, and helps to add atmosphere to the stage. And really, it could've just not been there at all, at least we've getting somehting.
I gotta say, I like Fox's voice in SSB4 a lot better when he's talking; it sounds worse when he just does voice grunts. Why did they use the 64 voices here? The Star Fox 64 voices were alright at the time, but they haven't aged well (it was a PSX/N64 era dub, so that's to be expected.) It's kind of baffling that they'd go back to the 64 ones now, after they had the Assault voice actors for so long, not to mention the 64 voices make no sense in the Assault stage and will cause inconsistencies when It's especially baffling that they'd change Slippy's back to his awful 64 girly voice, I mean Assault was the only time his voice was actually GOOD, why backtrack in quality now?!? And for that matter... Where the fuck is Krystal, this is the Assault stage, so it would make sense to have her here more than ever, Star Wolf was here too in Assault so where are they?!?

i can't tell what happen in this level: Error #1 -The Great Fox didn't appear in the Orbital Gate level in Assault. Error #2 -Krystal,Wolf,Leon,Panther,Beltino and the some of Dog Solders did not appear in the communication icon channel. Error #3 -our voice is changed for unknown reason. Error #4 - Slippy's and Falco's Arwings have power up laser and is not possible in Assault.
Also, in Assault (and their other appearances), Falco’s code color is blue, while Slippy’s is green. But here, their colors are, for some reason, switched.
I'm glad I found this. I had no idea what was going on in this stage... like why some of the "ships" would randomly blow up and whatnot. It's nice to hear the Star Fox team chatter to know what is actually happening.
The Orbital Gate development maybe was rushed and had they cut: No Easter Egg for: Krystal Wolf Leon Panther Beltino and the cornerians Dogs Solders pilot
This is a really good idea for a stage. Playing through a star fox mission is really good in both theory and execution. Also, what happens if fox or falco execute the smash taunt?
Because it took them an entire year just to code that stage, and actually playing on it is a pain. I love the concept, but I don't miss the stage AT ALL. Maybe as an adventure mode exclusive stage it would work, but as a PvP stage it absolutely doesn't.

Not only they brought back Fox's original voice but they also brought back Slippy's original voice from both Lylat Wars & Starfox 64. In both Starfox Assault & Super Smash Bros Brawl,Slippy was voiced by a man but in the Japanese version it's still the same Japanese voice of Slippy but done by a girl. Very fascinating to hear Fox & Slippy's first English voices again. :D
Falco sounds pretty cool, and Peppy's voice works (and is hilarious lol). But Slippy and Fox... oh geez. I think they're the same from Assault (at least I know Slippy is, not sure about the rest), but it's not even just that the voices are terrible and don't fit, but the acting is completely terrible. Fox especially is just flat, monotone, and completely soulless. So sad. At least Falco sounds awesome :)

What the hell happened to these guys? They were pretty cool in Starfox 64, but when they returned it's like...they forgot what made the characters so great! Fox's VA is being WAAAY over the top, Peppy's VA really pumped in that Texan blood, Slippy's shit as always, and Falco's VA just doesn't care at all. No enthusiasm whatsoever.

This stage was awesome.
Because it took them an entire year just to code that stage, and actually playing on it is a pain. I love the concept, but I don't miss the stage AT ALL.
Maybe as an adventure mode exclusive stage it would work, but as a PvP stage it absolutely doesn't.
@@joanaguayoplanell4912 It's more fun to play on than a lot of stages in ultimate. Definitely better than pacland, 75m, balloon fight, hanenbau, great cave offensive.. could go on.

As much as I'm fine with the new voices, I seriously don't get why they didn't get the voice cast from Brawl/Assault back for a level based on Assault, let alone cut Krystal from this codec entirely.

Slippy's voice is more higher pitched, yet I still love it considering that it's the same woman who voiced him in Star Fox 64 and Star Fox 64 3D. :)
Not only they brought back Fox's original voice but they also brought back Slippy's original voice from both Lylat Wars & Starfox 64. In both Starfox Assault & Super Smash Bros Brawl,Slippy was voiced by a man but in the Japanese version it's still the same Japanese voice of Slippy but done by a girl. Very fascinating to hear Fox & Slippy's first English voices again. :D

Yep, they sound very different, after all, Star Fox 64 was made nearly 20 years ago, so the voice actors will definitely not sound the same.

Falco sounds pretty cool, and Peppy's voice works (and is hilarious lol). But Slippy and Fox... oh geez. I think they're the same from Assault (at least I know Slippy is, not sure about the rest), but it's not even just that the voices are terrible and don't fit, but the acting is completely terrible. Fox especially is just flat, monotone, and completely soulless. So sad. At least Falco sounds awesome :)

Brian Antoine The only way they're the same as 64 is if they're the same voice actors, recording at the age they are now. Which... is possible I suppose :P I heard they were the Assault VAs, the only one I can say sounds exactly like Assault is Slippy, the others I don't remember well enough but I'm not surprised if they're different. Slippy, if that's not the same VA as in Assault, then that's a freaking amazing coincidence that they sound identical lol
Fox is 64 and 64 3D, and Falco is 64 3D. Peppy and Slippy could be Assault, but I wouldn't know because I haven't played that one.

What the hell happened to these guys? They were pretty cool in Starfox 64, but when they returned it's like...they forgot what made the characters so great! Fox's VA is being WAAAY over the top, Peppy's VA really pumped in that Texan blood, Slippy's shit as always, and Falco's VA just doesn't care at all. No enthusiasm whatsoever.

This is SO COOL! Nintendo didn't have to do this at all, but its so cool and sweet of them for putting even the little's and randomness touches.
It is a crime that they never brought back this stage in Ultimate.

That stage was a madness! Also, the Star Fox universe would have 42 Easter Eggs in Ultimate. Isn’t too much for a… dead series?
