Design of Activated Sludge Process as per CPHEEO Manual |
Conventional Activated Sludge Process
this is the most clear and perfect calculations ever.
Very well explained...liked the way u show every previous value and confirmed the range of every value🎉
Thanks 😊 keep watching 👍
Dear Sir
Thank you for the well explained video.
I have a small query. We are having Recirculation flow of significant percentage 25%
But we calculated it after calculations of Areation tank. So how will it accommodate return flow without affecting HRT or organic loading rate.
Please give your explanation.
Thanking you and awaiting your reply
Yours sincerely

Sir please make video on design of complete mix Activated Sludge Process
i will upload..thanks for watching
uploaded the video on design of complete mix Activated Sludge Process

You must also remember that Q (Flow to Aeration) will be the influent flowrate less the flow of the sludge removed in your primary treatment stage. Depending on primary sludge characteristics
Between convetional, complete mix and extended aeration
which one is used in treating the wastewater for the Cities or highly populated places? and why?
first thank you for your useful videos but this time you miss calculate the length and width of the aeration tank by taking the vertical compartments as 35m so that the width will be changed. w=14m i.e (3*4.5+2*0.25)m
Dear Friend,
I have calculated length from volume (1386 m3) by assuming depth and width 3m and 4.5m resp. That's why the overall width is 4.5+0.25+0.25. even if we have divided total length into 3 channel, but we have to keep the width same, coz the total length is same that's why the overall width will not change.
If we go According to your calculations, width = 3*4.5 +2*0.25 = 14 , this will be wrong. It will increase the width by 3 times.
We can cross verify by multiplying 14*105*3 is not nearly equal to the volume (1386 m3) which we have calculated from F/M ration.
is conventional activated sludge process or plug flow activated sludge process are same?
No both are different and their design is also different
Nice explaination👍👍
thanks for watching
Very good explanation plz or video banao
Thanks 😊
Volume of air required?
oxygen requirement for nitrification is not considered here?
Sir, request for aeration tank design before the mbr system. thank you
I will upload it soon
Sir, make video on F/M ratio
ruclips.net/video/W9ZRtT5F2Ig/видео.html
Refer this video...F/M ratio is explained in short at 37:00 min
Sk garg
Sir apse contact kaise hoga
SIR CAN GIVE US NOTES PLZ
Please focus of camra on paper properly 9:45
sorry...in that time span i have assumed F/M ratio as 0.32 per day..and computed Volume = 1386 m3
thanks for watching
Sir apse bat krna h
Plz sir
