LOVED IT. VERY DETAILED AND i also LOVED the JET PULL OUT OF THE HANGAR.. supremely kool indeed. After watching this video, I am every soo much more intimately informed of the workings and dashboard location of insruments in this cockpit.
Just found your videos. Enjoying flying the HondaJet on MSFS in it's new iteration. Looking forward to gleaning some useful best practices for flying the jet. Thanks for you contributions to the aviation community. Regards, Paul
I have to watch this later. I absolutely love the Honda Jets. I can't get enough of these great uploads. Have a wonderful week, BM6 and thanks for the great uploads.
Greetings from the UK. I used your video to work through the checklist on Honda Jet in MS simulator it helped a lot. Thank you so much and thanks to your wife for the great camera work. Hope to see you in the Honda Jet in Cambridge :)
Love the content and the foreplay bit. I had to back it up to make sure I heard what I thought I heard. Never can be too careful at my age. LOL Thanks for the brief G3000 tour. I wish we had all of the pages available, but I'm sure they'll add more and more as time goes by. MSFS's Honda Jet is pretty nice. I've got just over 700 hours in it now. It's nice not to have to buy fuel for it to fly. I live in a wheel chair nowadays so I have more time on my hands than is healthy as far as I'm concerned. I've built a bit of a cockpit here using a separate program called Air Manager for my instrument panel and use two touchscreen monitors for the switch panels and glass parts. It makes the flying much more immersive and in a dark room you can almost forget you're still on the ground.
Sounds like an incredible setup. Glad you found some value in what I posted...or at least some humor. I have more coming soon that's specific for the MSFS followers. I hope it's interesting and relevant
Looking forward to watching this one. I've no experience of light jets, the sim version is now my 'go-to' aircraft and I'm clocking up some great flight time around Europe - its quite an all-rounder and I love slipping the surly bonds up to high flight levels to then be able to get into smaller airports! The videos are entertaining & informative, really enjoying them.
Yep, you're correct. I set this up to share flights with my dad but heard a lot of what you judt said about in-cockpit HondaJet content vs marketing stuff.
Fantastic video! Learned a few things to try out when I get home in the sim. Thanks for your time and support for us simmers! I work at DTS if you ever come to Destin Florida, just let me know!
You need to set longer exposure times on the camera to get rid of the screen flicker. You might need to use an ND filter to prevent a too bright picture. Or you can set up some curtains and lower the brightness of the environment and the camera will automatically switch to an higher exposure time. If possible, just keeping it in the hangar would also work for videos like this in the future.
Thanks for the video. Great walkthrough. For a future video, please cover VNAV and descent planning. I know I have to reduce power, but I don't know how much. In what situations do I fly to an airspeed, when do I fly to a rate of descent, etc. When the G3000 is flying a VNAV profile, what kind of power management should I do? Final question - why'd you drive all the way through Weque just to get to the airport??😃
Thanks so much. I'm glad people are still watching some of my older ones....where the cameras were wonky and the audio wasn't reliable! I did that one specifically for the MSFS community but I'm hearing that a few HondaJet pilot's have found it good to keep their skills up.
@@bluemaxsix it's my favourite jet in MSFS and your videos are great to allow me to see what they have done a good job on and what needs improvements in the sim.
I believe if you change your FPS settings on your GoPro, you can get rid of the screen "scrolling" effect. Unfortunately in not sure what the correct setting is.
Hello there! I'm from Richmond Va. Not sure of my odds but I would love to see this jet in person. In fact I used to be based in RIC with Trans States now JFK with Jetblue. Great vids 👌
That's awesome. Headed back tomorrow for the winter. Thanks for watching and really appreciate the comments. Hope to meet on the ramp. Safe flying...Great company
Great video, thanks! Was flying my HondaJet in MSFS as I found this video. I think to keep your screens from doing that while recording you need to change the capture framerate of your camera. If the screen and camera aren't refreshing at the same rate, you'll get that. Sort of like seeing film of a propeller- it looks like it is turning one way and then the other as the engine accelerates. Keep these videos coming! Thanks so much!
Thanks for the comment. Agree on the screen flicker. The higher resolution G3000 doesn't have this issue. Mine doesn't have a constant rate so it's harder to eliminate via FPS settings.
@@bluemaxsix I think you mentioned that you too fly the MSFS Hondajet, right? If so, how does it compare (except for the obvious limitation of the sim's G3000) with the real thing? I fly the CJ4 a lot also and the sim's (WT) CJ4 is, according to another youtuber, very close to the real thing.
@@bluemaxsix Well, I have about 40 hours on the simulated Honda Jet, and it's the simplest airplane to "fly" there is. Once the flight plan is in and your weight and balance is taken care of, you pretty much don't have to do anything. Lights come on, spoilers come out when you land, turn on anti-ice and it takes care of itself. I think a Mooney would be more of a handful to fly. To be honest, I'm not a fan of the looks of the HJ compared to the PC-24 and Phenom jets, but it is the most well thought out, perfectly executed airplane I've ever seen (or simulated at least! lol). With auto throttle from the Elite II, I can't image a better jet for an owner operator who only flies 50-100 hours per year. Keep these videos coming. Festinating machine.
Great question. Trim is calculated on each takeoff based on the weight and the aircraft center of gravity. So the 2.0 setting is the forward (nose down) limit/setting for takeoff - which means that I'm flying it in the aft (tail) heavy Config. That's what I tend to see when it's just me or with 1 other person and I'm topped off with fuel. At 4.1, that would indicate that you have a lot more weight forward than I typically do. But hopefully you see how it's changes to the dynamic loading of the jet.
Yep. He's been great about sharing info. The issue is the refresh rate on the screens. Mine are different from Greg's and are different from Max's. So I keep trying different settings. Down side is that I have 3 more videos to put out and it's still not quite right. Social media and Patience are exactly synonymous
Nope. I looked at the M2 but 3 things made the HJ compelling 1) it met my mission requirements 2) the technology and 3) the HondaJet company and how well they work with their customers

To prevent the screen fade don't allow any outside sunlight to enter the lens.

being a yung guy with no money i hope someone i will make it so i can fly this beauty

change the refresh rate on the cams,,, its matching the screens and showing the flicker
I continue to try a variety of rates. It isn't a constant. Much better at night. More to sort out. Thanks.
