Excellent video JT :) yes got muddy in my area since warmer weather too on no snow for past 5 days but warm rain too came Tuesday and Wednesday last week and looking forward next thing getting on next videos on! Also yes interesting tow hook up take Green Steiner tractor tow home new owner!
Another Great Video. Interested to see what shows up next. I was thinking the Versatile, but that had already been answered in a previous post. Well, I guess we will all see next Friday. Tool shed is looking pretty good. We never had much luck growing corn. We could grow go wheat and beans, mostly 50/50 with corn. My uncle a few miles away could grow anything. He had a 6-30 John Deere 7000 planter, good unit. Thanks for the video.
When John Deere came out with the 7000 series planters they really had something. Then I H came out with the air planter and set a whole new industry standard.
My dad at the end had a hobby farm of 150 acres and every year, it was may when we picked up seed that wasnt ordered until the prior week..beans was Memorial day lol but every year they were decent for the conditions
Thanks for the video, That Stieger sure looked nice and will hopefully do well for the new owner. Just think with a 2 Massey to 1JD price conversion rate you could sell that other green tractor if you could find a loader or buy another Massey with a loader, Then still buy another project with the change, and hey while you are at it you'd need a Massey combine as well to complete the set. The weathers done the same here in Manitoba as well, It's not fun in our yard either, we aren't moving anything if we don't need to. Take care.
Not a bad machine for being green!! It my come as a big shock to you that loaders come in red as well! Those tractors really are looking the business. Time to start building a shed or three to put all the tractors you haven't got yet in😊!
Nice tow rig. Now you have someone to hire to drag non working treasures home!! Fingers crossed you are coming over to the dark side and bought that versatile!! Poor fluffy needs a new tractor to inspect. lol 😆
I know the feeling of fixing old junk the shop is never empty we have a Massey 1130 getting a motor a 5000 ford needing all new wiring after battery burned ford 7710 that needs a clutch and a John Deere A that needs an engine rebuild sometimes you just have to buckle down and fix this stuff because no one else will
Nice quote from Blazing Saddles. I'm LOL already. I didn't see any feelings for Green Bastard leaving the Barn n Grill. Looking forward to Friday to see the horse trade.
@@jtsbarnngrill6873 Good to hear that. I've gotten a few parts from Allstate AG Parts as well; For My M-F 50 they seem pretty fair priced on allot of items. Hope to see the Friday video of your new acquisition.
Nice one j.t. please don't just weep that out your video wont be put up. L.o.l. she gone now. Are you having to drop the duals off.how did she start up for you when you put in the work shop. It's going to be another articulated tractor I have a think red and black. From Andy in uk
He’s coming back for the duals tomorrow. She’s been starting fine, as long as it’s over 25F degrees she fires right up! There’s another big one on the way… but it’s not a versy
@jtsbarnngrill6873 glad she running good. At least you got to drive her down the road after putting new cluch in. Iv done jobs like that normal it's for a mate you just get to drive out make sure it's all good in each gear then it's gone out the gate weather it was a tractor or land rover. You thought any more on doing any hats or anything. If you do I will buy one and a t if you do a few to see how it goes.
Here in central we officially had 10 inches of snow on the ground last Sunday. At my place it was more like a foot and a half. Yesterday afternoon the last of it dissapeared. Fortunately the ground is not frozen so it all soaked in helping a little with the drought but hurting my house. I swear the dogs have tracked half my back yard inside. It was 48 so far today, behing the "cold" front, warm enough I went to Wally world in shorts and sneakers. What a crazy winter. A little over 2 feet of snow in 5 days, then arctic temps with highs around -7 and -8 and now back to lows in upper 20 and low 30s and highs in low to mid 50s and rain coming late week. Weird. Have fun in the mud, I am, be safe.
How much does the lime green bastard weigh? Must be some ugly frost limits. Around here it goes down to 6 tons per axle. 5 axle truck can only gross 60,000 lbs. but, then there is the early Sunday morning free for all…….!….!….
I'm going to miss the old green Bastard, ha ha. Good video JT, looking forward to your next project.
Fluffy was saying good bye to the yellow cat

That mud is making things real sticky around here!
Thanks for posting
No problem!
Great video, Fluffy says bye 😂
Well sad to see the big green tractor go but can’t wait to see what you get / restore next.
Looks like a new floor board in Ol Green. Tread plate 😊. I really don't like mud either. Good to see Fluffy is bright eyed and bushy tailed.😊
Home Depot floor mat 😉
Sad to see the Green Bastard leave but glad he’s going to a good home.
Those old planter’s with the corn meter’s work extremely well
I hope so! I’ve heard good things about them
As an x deere tech those 7000 planters werent the worst things to work on good machines if maintenance was keept up on

I’ve been wheat/beans for several years now too. Those have been good to me, but we’ll see how the corn goes
so did Mrs. JT see a tractor leaving? that's very important in tractor math!
New to the channel of yours, love the content.
Beutiful cat by the way👌👌
Thanks! Glad to have you along!
"Excuse me while i whip this out" !!! Love that movie! A classic! 😂
Glad someone noticed 😆😆
That's quite the towing apparatus.. looks like it works good...hope the steiger made it to it's new home safe and sound, but anyway 👍👍👊
I hope so too! He didn’t call with any bad news so I can only assume it all went well
@@jtsbarnngrill6873 👍👊
That was interesting and very entertaining as usual can’t wait for the day you’ll have everything in MF colours 😅😂
Colors
Won’t be long 😉

Nooooooooooo, I loved the GB!
NOOOOOOOO!!! We loove the Green Bastard!!!
Your friend is brave 😵💫
My dad at the end had a hobby farm of 150 acres and every year, it was may when we picked up seed that wasnt ordered until the prior week..beans was Memorial day lol but every year they were decent for the conditions
Right on! Sometimes that works out best!
Nice J.T.👌
Lets see what comes. 💪💪
Greetings!
Thanks 👍
Pull the front planetary stub Axels.
Going to miss the old Green bsrd, but I'm glad it's going to a good home.
It will have a good life where it’s going
Changing the exhaust manifold gasket makes good video content.
Right on! I’ll take everyone along!
I appreciate the Blazing Saddles quote!
😉👍🏼
New toys more toys❤
Nice video JT. Sad to see the Steiger go.
It went to a good home!

Wouldn’t hurt my feelings to have a Massey loader tractor 😉
Thanks for the reply ,Well that would be another video, that will be good to watch @@jtsbarnngrill6873
I made a similar hitch to move junk combines and grain trucks hooks to quick hitch 😊
Right on! This one seemed to do the job!
Not a bad machine for being green!!

😆😆. I may find a red loader and ship the green tractor off lol
maybe friday's feature is a backhoe to start building a shed? put a green loader on the red tractor just to upset everyone 😂
Nice tow rig. Now you have someone to hire to drag non working treasures home!! Fingers crossed you are coming over to the dark side and bought that versatile!! Poor fluffy needs a new tractor to inspect. lol 😆
No versy yet… 😉
Little blazing saddles humor lol
Time for another barn!
You got that right!!

Um.. Those are final drive hubs. Don't you have to put them in neutral?
What is the frost law you are talking about? Great videos very entertaining.
I think he's referring to the weight limits that are enforced when the ground is thawing; the frost is moving up and it cracks the roads.
Our frost laws prevent one from running a big truck/semi on secondary roads in the spring months. Michigan roads are rough enough as it is lol
That is correct
I had the same question and figured someone else would.
Sad to see the big Bear go JT, butt hey, u are getting something to replaced-it.. hope Fluffy likes-it..
Fluffy approved!
You should get those Massey's on a calendar for next year.
May have to to that!
Sad to see that green bastard go.... I like the red ones..... I wonder if the Versatile might be next or will it be another Red massey
Time will tell 😉
Another Blazing Saddles Fan !!!
😉
I hope you do videos repairing the corn planter. I might get one of those, because I want a mechanical planter. Dont't want to run a pto pump.
I will do that!
😃😃👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
Hint time, does the new unit have a *cough*cummins*cough* engine? 😂
It does not. 😉
How far is he towing it? Seems a bit sketchy but if it works great. Thx
I think that was safer than driving it.
Fluffy approved!
Hey Joe,,,gunslinger won the 4 wheel drive battle long ago.
So long Green B
I really don't know how I feel about the Stieger.
Lol bye Green B ! Hello we’ll find out fri .
Yes indeed! It’ll be a project! Lol
How far is he towing that? Thats gonna be a slow trip!
I think the Deere will tow the green b faster than it will go on its own lol
Come on JT.
You are picking up that VERSA, right!??
Cheers.
Not this time…. Found a $1500 deal I couldn’t pass up. And it’s BIG!
Grain cart!!!!
Cheers.@@jtsbarnngrill6873
Sell the JD tractor and buy a front end loader for one of your masseys
The tow tractor is bigger than the Stieger. I hate to see the Stieger go.
It was a fun project! But more projects can come in if I keep some rotation 😉
I was wondering if you have corn units for the 7000 planter because the units that are in the boxes are bean cup units just wondering
Yes, I have the corn meters.
What kind of paint are you using? I got a few tractors to repaint
I use Nason ful-base base/clear on most of them

Get the equipment ready now so you can break more shit during planting. Just how life works.
Planting season is a series of breakdown till all the seed is in the ground lol
What makes him think the John Deere won't break down along the road? I guess he could then pull it with the Steiger
The John Deere has brakes and can stop. The Steiger does not.

Same story here! Only difference is we have enough saturated ground to last two years lol

I’m not sure on the laws on the area, but if he didn’t want to chance it, they must be fairly tough
👍👍right on man, Sunday morning mission here🤣🤣👊
Uh JT do you know that those are bean meters on the boxes... I hope you got the corn meters with it too.
Yes. I have the corn finger meters for it
With that big Deere, what's he need the Stieger for ??
He has more oldies at his place than I do 😆
Gonna miss that bastard!!! You better have something cooler!! Haha
Well, it’s definitely something 😆
@@jtsbarnngrill6873 I trust your judgment... Well.. Kinda.. Haha! We will see how ya did at donkey trading..
I’m guessing you traded for that 500 versatile
Nope. That was a different fella. Not getting the versy this time around
Probably for the best the engine in those is terrible. We used to have a stack of blown ones
JT, what is the horsepower on the 2010?
40-45 I believe
Now for versatile right ?
Not just yet… 😉
Nice to see the light green ba$7@rd disappear up the long & winding road, much prefere red.
More red on the way
Calm down Jr...
lol there goes my dad
Yup! His tow rig got the job done!
Yes. First💪💪
Nice!
Alright, versatile 500 coming to us soon. :)
Not this time 😉
Is that Jennifer's husband? I'm getting old and can't see.
Yes it is! Your sight is better than you thought 😉
That's good to know it's going to a good home then and will get plenty of use!
