That old stieger is looking like a win for sure!! Our International 4366 was built on a Stieger frame/cab ect but IH put DT466 in thier tractors. Personally i think our MF1805 with the 3208 will out pull the 4366 any day...and the MF cab is MUCH roomier. Great job and awesome video as always!
Well, now I think you should put that disc on the 1155, find a couple of 25 footers for Turd Ferguson and the Bearcat, then charge $15 an hour for "The Real Farming Experience" to the "City Folk" that think farming is so "Easy". Kinda like an air bnb with a steering wheel.😂. Love that Bearcat! JT, be Safe and God Bless You sir. 👍🇺🇲🛻🚜
With a little TLC that thing aughta run like a brand new one, pulling, hay balers, grain carts, planters, anything you put behind it, it aughta pull just fine. 😀😀😀😀😀😀😀😀
Man that turned out to be a sweet tractor ! Small hydraulic hoses for an excavator are north of 200 bucks lately ! It's crazy and being covered in hydraulic wasn't bad enough now they empty your wallet too
I got 3 different tread patterns on mine too. Those tires cost an arm and a leg. Hope to restore it she has 14000 hrs on it but it's still in good shape. Glad to see people saving these from being scrapped.I hoping to locate a blade and use mine for a snowplow.
Hi JT, Nice Steiger... I'm not affiliated in any way to Discount Hydraulics. I just have personal experience in re-hosing a 655C Ford backhoe.. Talk about expense! My local guys were a third or half again as expensive on made to order hose assys. Discount Hydraulics pricing ,speed of delivery and, they have most every fitting you would ever need. Looking forward to the paint episode!!
I first found you when you brought it home and just so enjoy you bringing old iron back to life and doing what is was made for, so Thanks so much for this video and the all the best ahead in your future.
The ole Cat 3208, probably my least favorite Cat engine of all time. But I do love the sound. They sound like there is something there waiting to get out, and then you hit a hill and the Cat turns into a kitten LOL. Love to see someone save old equipment from the scrap yard.
Nice to see the Steiger getting some TLC and working on the field! The hydrolics seemed to be very fast. I like these old Steigers but Massey-Ferguson is and wil be my First Love! I love that last clip!!!😂 Parking lot... made me smile!
Needs new tires raincaps on the exhaust face them opposite of each other. Fix the AC. We had a Wildcat had the same motor. We pulled a big fold up sprayer disk no problems. Had. Saddle tanks on it.
That three point hitch is a rare option to see here in Canada on a Steiger. That is a pretty awesome feature to see. I buy the cheap hydraulic hose too out of our equivalent to tractor supply. They seem fine. 👍🍻
Another great job JT, but there is always some other cool guy coming around the corner 😂 but you own them both so I guess you really are the coolest 👍🏻
Pretty good running tractor you got there. Good job changing all the filters and oils, no short cuts. Noticed the second dash gauge from the left is not working. What is it for. Good job.
Great video as always JT, I think the cab windows could do with a wash inside and out, when do you think it will get painted. Greetings from the UK. Keep em coming!
Glad it is running good! MF makes good tractors but the hydraulics are not the fastest in the world compared to other brands at that time. It will me interesting when you do the comparison
Just found your channel, really enjoying the content. You cleaned out the cab filters so did it come out with a/c from the factory or are those filters for vents? I am not familiar with these machines. Thanks and keep up the great work.
Thanks for checking us out! I don’t think this was an ac machine. No sign of condenser or a compressor mount, and nothing in the cab. I’ve seen these with ac and with this was one lol. These are just vents from the outside to in the cab
If you fill the filter with diesel before installing it you are putting fuel on the clean side of the filter that could contaminate the filter. Off to the the expensive injector pump that fuel goes. I never did that, also when changing hydraulic hoses if one blew I changed them all, as the other ones would be full of contaminated oil. Let the city people buy there $30,000 quads. Who has more fun.
I'm enjoying the many similarities between this tractor and my Stieger built IH 4366. Except for the engine and differentials it is the same. Could you show on a video how the brakes are on this tractor? Mine has 1 large disk on the back on the transmission. The lower shaft runs through it.
Another 3208 screamer!! I wish the 1805 had the hydraulic reservoir behind the cab like that Bearcat. Pain in the azz when you want to pull the hood on the 1805 and you have 12 gallons of hydraulic fluid hanging on the underside. Even thought of relocating the tank. Even so....think I like my 1805 better.
Seems to run really smooth. You gonna adjust the valves? Not sure if injectors have adjustment. Window tint would look cool. How many hours do you plan to run per year?
I sold it to my cousin. He just started farming and needed a cheap horse. Since I have the 1155 I let him have the 1100. Of coarse it will come back if he decides to upgrade 😉
The sheet metal is pretty straight on it too. She’s going to look great with new paint!
I’m excited for that!
Those old rigs are money! Cheap horsepower! And pretty much bulletproof! Love the series! That old cat sounds great!

Y'all keep up bringing that old iron back to life, cause its got life in it. 👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
Love those old 3208 cats , they start easy and they are pretty efficient
And they pop head gaskets It
does run good though
The green beast, loved seeing it back at work in the field where it belongs.
I'm glad you washed the dash, that bird poo is very corrosive ,and ruins the paint. Thanks for Sharing. 😊
I’m hoping to redo the interior of this rig completely this winter. Make it that much nicer!
Really enjoy your channel. Keep the older equipment running.
Always 😉

That’s a great idea! The Real Farm Experience 😉
This is just such a cool tractor. Glad she’s running good for ya. 👍🏻
Thanks for posting JT
You bet!
Your videos are awesome. The steiger runs great for what it looked like when we first seen it. I hope it works well for you.
Can’t wait for the paint job❤
That will pull that disk beautifully just like a brand new one, like it came off the assembly line yesterday.
With a little TLC that thing aughta run like a brand new one, pulling, hay balers, grain carts, planters, anything you put behind it, it aughta pull just fine. 😀😀😀😀😀😀😀😀

They’re a simple machine, easy to work on and parts (aside from tires) are easy to find and cheap. I’ll keep as many of these oldies alive as I can 😉
Awesome to see it doing work again! I absolutely love steigers.
HELL YES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
It was a success!

That thing is just a beast.
Great video Joe…I always look forward to your videos…Thanks for sharing your knowledge..
Thanks Kip!
Nice find JT !
Another nicely done video to your name as well !
Cheers, Ard
That Stiger has my attention! Keep these excellent videos coming! Thanks JT
More to come!
That motor sounds awesome
There must be a big old cultivator lurking in the weeds somewhere. Would look great on the back of the Steiger.
Please put rain cap flappers on the exhaust. That would be so cool.
Hell yea JT that grin on your face is like a Bear shiting in the woods you could tell you was loveing the the hell out of it nice job
Thanks! That slimy green machine is growing in me 😊
I first found you when you brought it home and just so enjoy you bringing old iron back to life and doing
what is was made for, so Thanks so much for this video and the all the best ahead in your future.
Thank you! I’m glad to bring what I enjoy to others 😉
Nice little tractor!😊
A nother great job awesome
seems like your a pretty handy guy around a tractor, great job jt,she sounds awesome
The ole Cat 3208, probably my least favorite Cat engine of all time. But I do love the sound. They sound like there is something there waiting to get out, and then you hit a hill and the Cat turns into a kitten LOL.
Love to see someone save old equipment from the scrap yard.
Hearing aide salesmen always look for someone running a Cat.
Awesome, been waiting for this video 😊 looking nice.
Shoot yeah ! From the cow pasture to the field and after a few transfusion lol, it’s ready to roll some soil ! You did well JT !
Thanks! Now I gotta get some paint on it 😉
fill the filter with atf will clean injectors when started works really good
Nice to see the Steiger getting some TLC and working on the field! The hydrolics seemed to be very fast. I like these old Steigers but Massey-Ferguson is and wil be my First Love!
I love that last clip!!!😂 Parking lot... made me smile!
Right on! As much as I like that Steiger…
I’d rather be in the Massey all day. Much more pleasant 😆
Needs new tires raincaps on the exhaust face them opposite of each other. Fix the AC. We had a Wildcat had the same motor. We pulled a big fold up sprayer disk no problems. Had. Saddle tanks on it.
Great Video. Enjoy watching . Love the Older Equipment that you have. The Steiger is Awesome.
Thank you!
The cat is a purdy good foreman
She keeps everyone working smoothly 😆
After it has a few more working hours, do a valve lash adjustment on it. Itll help even it back out and make a bit more power for no extra fuel.
I see you might have gotten whoop over wearing school shoes to the barn to good video getting the beast going
A mistake I won’t make twice! 😆
That three point hitch is a rare option to see here in Canada on a Steiger. That is a pretty awesome feature to see. I buy the cheap hydraulic hose too out of our equivalent to tractor supply. They seem fine. 👍🍻
I’ve done a couple in that past and they’re holding up well.
The 3 pt works like a charm too 😉
Fecken great tractor.she’s some beast.👌👌👌👌
Love a big tractor! Good job man!
Thanks 👍
Well done on getting that tractor going. Great oil pressure on her.
Thanks 👍
Best be getting some rain caps on the exhaust of that old girl if you want to keep her around!
What a beauty
Another great job JT, but there is always some other cool guy coming around the corner 😂 but you own them both so I guess you really are the coolest 👍🏻
Right on 😉
im looking forward to see the tractor with the stuck engine again
Runs dam good
Nice but I am surprised it only has one fuel filter my IH 454 has two and it is only a three cylinder diesel
Can't whant till it gets painted will look great I am currently repainting a mf 265 right now
Nice😉. Grew up running a 265. Excellent little tractor
#1: You NEED a BIGGER adjustable!!!
#2: Refer to #1.
Cheers.
😆
School Shoes, Hilarious 😂
And now Steiger has red paint and Case decals. Hew knew
Now owned by the Fiat group.
Chocolate milk.... time to get some Hytran since Stieger became CaseInternational... nice big wrench
It’s my “I wasn’t asking” wrench lol
@@jtsbarnngrill6873 got one of those to used it as a shifter when I snapped it off my manual floor shifter in my 1985 Ford F150
Good deal.
Pretty good running tractor you got there. Good job changing all the filters and oils, no short cuts. Noticed the second dash gauge from the left is not working. What is it for. Good job.
Must be the fuel pressure gauge. It’s the only one that isn’t working
Now yah need a bigger disk!😈
👍🏻👍🏻
Great video as always JT, I think the cab windows could do with a wash inside and out, when do you think it will get painted. Greetings from the UK. Keep em coming!
Yeah… the windows are pretty bad lol. Hoping to paint in the next few weeks
Glad it is running good! MF makes good tractors but the hydraulics are not the fastest in the world compared to other brands at that time. It will me interesting when you do the comparison
I’ve been thinking, if I could take my 1805 cab and put it on that Steiger, I’d have a decent rig 😉
BearCar needs "Chrome " CAPS"" ON Those stacks!😅
Just found your channel, really enjoying the content. You cleaned out the cab filters so did it come out with a/c from the factory or are those filters for vents? I am not familiar with these machines. Thanks and keep up the great work.
Thanks for checking us out! I don’t think this was an ac machine. No sign of condenser or a compressor mount, and nothing in the cab. I’ve seen these with ac and with this was one lol. These are just vents from the outside to in the cab
Those tractors are so simple and easy to work on. Did you check the other fluids in the trans drop box and front and fear diff?
Yes I did. She’s all good to go for now
Wow pretty embarrassing to get chewed out by the boss on camera! Fluffy must not have had her morning catnip that day! Lol
😁

I do 😆. My thoughts exactly
My neighbor is running a QuadTrac....but add a zero to that price...$300,000.
The green bastard from parts unknown
That is the best TPB reference for that tractor 😆😆😆
I'm enjoying the many similarities between this tractor and my Stieger built IH 4366. Except for the engine and differentials it is the same. Could you show on a video how the brakes are on this tractor? Mine has 1 large disk on the back on the transmission. The lower shaft runs through it.
Same on this one. Has a large disk between the trans and transfer case.
@@jtsbarnngrill6873 Ever get the brakes on the 1805 to work? Mine don't work and it's a drum. Rather have the disk.
Not yet. One of those projects that went on the back burner after spring. I will eventually get to that
The calipers for the disk brake system have been unavailable for years now.
So paint and decals in the near future for this old work horse?
Yes and yes!
JT love your practical approach to problems. Do you have any idea what your total cost for all the fixes were to get this usable again?
I think I have less than 1k into it.
Great to see it rolling again! How did it steer after changing fluids!
It sounds really solid.
Not much better, but better. Might need to have the cylinders redone like I did on my 1805
Another 3208 screamer!! I wish the 1805 had the hydraulic reservoir behind the cab like that Bearcat. Pain in the azz when you want to pull the hood on the 1805 and you have 12 gallons of hydraulic fluid hanging on the underside. Even thought of relocating the tank. True! If I could take the cab from the 1805 and the ease of the Steiger it would make for a great tractor!
No computer Way to go!!!
Seems to run really smooth. You gonna adjust the valves? Not sure if injectors have adjustment. Window tint would look cool. How many hours do you plan to run per year?
I may adjust the valves, they click a little when it’s cold, but I think for now I’m just gonna let it roll
Yellow jackets don't nest like that, that was ginny wasps
Surplus center good place get hydronic hoes and fitting s too
Man i like that you use those older masseys but that steiger is pretty cool. By the way what happened to the the 1100?
I sold it to my cousin. He just started farming and needed a cheap horse. Since I have the 1155 I let him have the 1100. Of coarse it will come back if he decides to upgrade 😉
CAT!.. OOPS!
Did you save the hydraulic fluid for your coffee it's a bit milky 😂
Of coarse i did 😆
Can I ask you got your jack stand to spit your tractors to change the clutch so it can roll apart
I found those on eBay. Search tractor splitting stands and they should come up. They are 10k lb stands and I believe they were in the $500 range
I'm sorry I meant give a smokestack
Gotcha.
I may at some point
Will you now look for bigger equipment for it to pull
I have a chisel that will put a workout on it
JT. Is the Allis 440 the same as the Steiger Bearcat. I have a chance to purchase one and I'm just wondering
Same except for the allis has a 555 Cummins rather than the cat engine.
ok dont do it again j.t .fluffy is watching you .
You should never attempt to clean the inner air filter. Just replace it.
Nice project! Are yo planning to paint it?
Soon. I have the paint 😉
Are you going to get new exhaust for the steiger
It has new exhaust on it.
how hid you do all that without fluffy watch over you . i wont say anythink
It wasn’t easy without her supervision lol
How is the steering?
It’s getting better.
You like the steigar or Massey Ferguson better?
They both have their strong points. I’ll make a video in the future to compare them 😉
Wat horsepower is the tractor
It’s in the 200 neighborhood.
You’ll never use the Massey again
It that the 3208 cat motor ???
Yep
Cat played around with quite a few V8's in the past. The 3408 was a mean old girl on the road but pretty hard on fuel.
@@jtsbarnngrill6873 TY !
salutations d un français
That's nasty looking hydraulic oil
did it run and perform better with a sh*t free dash? too funny
Much better 😆
comment
What are all those stupid gulls doing?
It’s not gook looking hydraulic oil, best before date has long pasted. Tail end looked like water.
