  • An unfortunate PC Booter conversion of a Gauntlet clone that removes David Whittaker's cool theme song. Storm has fidgety turning, samey levels, and should only be attempted by Gauntlet fanatics who have run out of content. Lawnie gets increasingly annoyed to the point that he stops playing the game properly, refusing to give it a fair shake. Play it on the Commodore or Atari instead.

I might have had more patience for this back in the day because Gauntlet was one of the few arcade games I liked. I certainly would not bother with this today.

For '87 there is potential here but at the end of the day, It's a Gauntlet clone. Enough said...

Yeah, I'll take the real Gauntlet over this. Or even The Black Orb (which, fun fact, was the game that made me discover this channel).

Yeah, it's a real shame the cycles count on The Black Orb was so high, because that was much better than this effort.

Rather disappointed with this game which is partially my namesake! It'll run on the 808x mini laptops, but would you really want to play it? There are definitely better games of this genre out there that can run on an x86 808x CPU!

I guess you could say this storm... isn't a keeper.
