i love how walter was about to start a casual conversation with ba'al, a goa'uld with a huge empire who enslaved millions of people, to avoid awkwardness lmao
Walter: *Weighing the options of having to wait in awkward silence or initiate a conversation with a murderous galactic tyrant who sees humans as lesser beings to be enslaved* Walter: "So..."
The brilliance of this bit was as much as Jack comes off as silly here, it's entirely a diplomatic strategy: He's making the dude who's used to getting everything he wants when he wants it *wait* for O'Neill to *feel like* talking to him. He is showing Ba'al who is in charge of the conversation.
@@ocdtrekkie It brilliant diplomatically, but for O'Neill it was just to annoy and irate Ba'al who like you said is used to getting whatever he wants and being in charge
@@Lightingwarrior Sure he had fun with it, and O'Neill plays himself off like a goof, but every action he takes is calculated. Like the other scene from this episode where he interrupts Jacob Carter to tell Ba'al off. He acted like he was just enjoying the idea of Ba'al dead, but the moment the hologram cut off, he said it was because he wasn't ready to give up on the Jaffa. O'Neill uses abrasiveness and sarcasm to cover his actual reasons for his actions. It's the main reason his character works so well as a hero while also being in a show that so heavily leans into comedy. O'Neill ACTS irresponsible, but he never IS irresponsible.
Anubis is devoid of feelings, he is cruel - he would tear a prisoner apart, torture women or men,he likes this Ba'al did nothing without sense, it is visible at every step, he also didn't torture women (I suppose he preferred to sleep with a woman rather than torture her) I suppose he considered them more stupid, men had worse but he didn't make senseless suffering, Ba'al is intelligent and Anubis is a monster in clean form

I can never get enough of Ba'al.
And now he is forever gone. You will never be forgotten Cliff Simon. 🌹
All the different goaulds at the summit but only Ba'al stood out. Thank you for everything Cliff Simon!
Sucks that Cliff Simon is gone. You can tell he loved every minute playing Ba'al. :(
God I love this scene and how Jack just made Baal wait on him, he was clearly loving every second of it
I like to think he was sitting around the corner. He probably only stepped in to save Walter the awkwardness 😂

"I'm SO SORRY! I was just finishing up a lovely brunch!"
"Impudence!"
"No, tuna."
My favourite line in the series! XD
"Oh, please don't tell me"
"Anubis"
"I asked you not to tell me"
That is why I love O'Neill
Indeed.
Wait, wrong meme...
Dr Galactose i like it even more that Ba’al cracks a grin before telling him
Ba'al and O'Neill being a chaotic duo
Jack : Cut the god crap.
Ba'al : But I do it so well.
🤣🤣🤣
Baal: - YOU DARE MOCK ME.
Jack: - Baal... Come on, You should know... Of cause i dare mock you...
The snarkiness of Jack. Part of what made the show so enjoyable.
Impotence! no tuna actually lol
Beatthescum impudence ;)

ba'al was a lacky. If Anubis and the other key members didnt die off, he would never have risen to power.
I suspect some women likely saw sleeping with Ba'al as torture because reasons. One of the reasons is why Sam punched him in the face.
The some who would think that torture would be single digit percentages of you exclude lesbians.
Dudes a looker and his normal voice is charming AF.
But he did torture O’Neill relentlessly which can hardly be excused
Ba'al was the most funny one 😂
Anubis needs a hug 🐪🐄🐋
O'neill with two L. My favorite line.
(holding up three fingers)
Enjoy your "True God's" company, Cliff. I never said no to clones.
Fab! Hilarious!
So...there's a halo ring there, or maybe a portal to the ark?
stargate was around a little bit before halo was.
Ba’al, he asked you not to tell him, what the hell?
A new bus
