Always appreciate feedback, gonna pin this. With no longer offering charters, as my main source of income. I’m attempting to get the most out of the channel without overdoing it. Feedback is always appreciated. 🙏🏻
I would think that it's the amount of information on the screen - I picked up the Madeline part but the entire part on the left screen i had to go back and look at - So maybe a little information overload?@@KeyWestWaterman
I don't know about "too much" but I thought the video was over when I saw it and closed the window after reading it. I saw the thumbnail later and was like "wait...there should have been a cobia".
I dont know how you do it aaron. Somehow you have created some of the most calming yet interesting content on youtube. Your stuff is always so good. If anyone was wondering why mainstream entertainment is dying, this is why. Regular people can just do it better.
not many channels can keep and obtain a viewer's attention for 30+ minutes, but you guys do it consistently! Thanks for taking all of the time it takes to record, edit, and make these awesome adventures for us to enjoy! Stay safe, can't wait to watch the next one!
It's awesome that you get to do something you enjoy with your wife, and she enjoys it, too. It makes it all the more fun ,especially when each of you scored good fish .
Aaron we love your videos but I must say Madeline is your champ! She adds so much to to much your content we love her content too! God bless you both, thanks for taking us along with your videos!!!
@24:36 When cleaning fish with a prominent blood line (most) and tough skin and quite long... why not start your fillet by cutting straight down the middle of fish (lateral line) and then taking off the top loin and bottom loin separately. Much easier. And you end up doing this anyway - but in reverse. Nice show once again. Thanks Youngs! Not trying to be critical - just helpful.
Sir I do appreciate the manner and ethics of your approach to daily living .In my opinion your an ambassador like no other and I feel your approach is the most sensible way to get the job done. And no doubt sir is sustainable. You're the man for the job. Keep it up Aaron.
Greetings from Tobago, Trinidad and Tobago. I worked in a restaurant Called The Fish Pot, best restaurant in the island. Cobia was and still is, the most versatile and delicious fish I’ve had the privilege to fillet, cook and serve to people. It is refreshing to have found a friend to go and learn spearfishing and through him, getting to see your videos. Thank you for being just yourselves. That is so refreshing and beautiful. You guys are a blessing, one of the few real and good things about the internet. Thank you for all you do to keep us inspired and educated.
The camera placement, giving is a seat around the fire as we watch you eat and listen to your conversation.... 👍 more of that.. I only wish I could enjoy all the wonderful smells that went with the fire and food.
Watching the new road house movie with my family the other night . Takes place in the keys . My 12 year son out of the blue gets excited and wants me to rewind and pause . He kept saying paddling Madeline . There was a billboard that read paddle board tours , he legit thought it was her company. Just wanted to let you guys know that you two are household names in NewBrunswick Canada
I cannot tell you just how happy it makes me to see the two of you enjoying your lives together and the stone shot.....Amazing, Grasshopper! Is it too small?? That's what she said!
Those were some Monster snappers so save that spot! Wow really good eating! Having a woman that shares in you hobbies or even your interest is amazing so she is a real keeper! Love you two together and she is willing to follow your lead and that is priceless! Keep up the couple videos and show us how it is done!!
I’ve been watching you for so long and remember Madeline being a little more nervous. Can’t tell you Madeline how much you impress me!! Good for you!! Aaron is obviously a pro but young lady, you’re killing it!!
When I can’t get out there myself. I watch key west waterman. Cobia are going to show up in my neck of the woods any day now. Along with the tarpon usually. Up on the nature coast of Florida. We don’t have the blue water like you but the obsession is still there.
I learned over all the years of catching and eating Cobia to smoke the tail section, belly/ribs and collar’s. The best smoked fish ever. Just some food for thought, literally. Thanks again for sharing your amazing adventures.
Thx for a great vid and congratulations to Madeleine for the Cobia. I love the respect you always show to the catch and use as much of the fish as possible. Very nice recipe as well ... Keep up the great content. It makes me really happy seeing the love and hapiness between the two of you. Lots of love from Munich, Germany
Those were some fatty snappers, wow. And Maddie did an amazing job with the cobia. I've never shot one but I know about fighting them on rod and reel and they go insane when they get gaffed. Cobia and mahi mahi are the craziest fish I've caught as far as thrashing in the boat if you let them. Cool fish. Cobia are definitely one of my favorites, hopefully I'll get to catch some this year in the Chesapeake. Great video! I'm always impressed with the variety of content you come up with.
Another wholseome video, love the way you guys are together. Can tell Madeline loves her man just by the way she looks at him. awesome fishing as always. I thought it was the gill plate that cut me , could have been the spine. good job Madeline :-)
As for the brussel sprouts, we have started cooking them in coconut oil and then seasoning them with something called Poyo Asado. It's like an Accent seasoning salt or Montreal Steak but different.
I have many fond memories of cobia fishing here on the coast of the panhandle, Destin Pass. The annual migration comes through each spring and we sight-fish typically with jigs or live eels motoring slowly nearshore where the water is swimming pool clear. They are strong fighters on a rod and reels but I haven’t shot one because very few hang out on wrecks, the majority just passing through to spawn. Love your content!
Madeleine...yes! I'm with you on a pasta with a white wine sauce! Enjoyed learning how you cooked the brussels too. I've seen bacon added, and as you did with the cheese...guess that isn't exactly health conscious though, delicious! I see the struggle in this one, while I hate it was you're lovely Madeleine tied up, her being so sure brought the point home. Glad you're safe Maddie, but I feel Aaron will never risk you. Have a wonderful week you two! Best video image? Your wedding bands gleaming in the sun!
As someone who make curry out of fish relatively often I highly recommend making it with swordfish, by far the best I’ve done. Get quite a few cobia here where I’m at but love it to much to make curry out of it. However the density of the meat would make a good curry
Yum, looked delicious.we took the boat out to new Smyrna today, just caught 1 Jack cravel , 1 pin fish and 1 tiny sheepshead . We always catch mangroves and today not one, so we live vicariously thru you lol. Thanks
@@KeyWestWaterman we catch a lot of cobia here in Biloxi Mississippi and they are one of my favorite fish if not my favorite, it stays together good on the grill stays firm snd has great flavor
Madeline is a Huntress. Smoked him. Way to go girl! You make us so proud. Aaron you are so protective. She's a better spear fisherwoman. Taught her well my friend.
Man I just want to tell you I love what you guys have created down there it is really fun to watch you and your girl is a true stud go down there and do that I can't get my girl to bet her own hook
I like that Brussel Sprout idea, my favorite recipe was to dry fry them South Asia style. Fry onions, garlic and chilies. Add sprouts then curry powder and stir fry until crispy. Will try this next time.
My wife caught (hook and line) her first Cobia off Ocean Isle Beach last summer. Think it was 49 inches. Great table fare. Love your channel. What a gal you have!!!
Props to Madellin. I have battled a few Cobia in my time spearfishing and they aint no joke! They are much stronger than you think. They are def a handful if ya dont stone them. Congrats to her as they are a prize fish.👍👍😎
Hey, Aaron & Madeleine 👋🏼 Gosh, girl! 😳You did so sell! 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻 Great teacher, too. Dinner looked delicious 😋 Tipsy 🐶is so patient ☺️ Really enjoyed your banter at the end! Have a Blessed Night 😊 🤿
I always enjoy your content and easy going attitude. The recipes and processing are world class as well,so thanks. It would be interesting if you showed what types of used boats are available in your area and what prices they are being offered at.
Cobia are tough for sure. I’ve shot a bunch on scuba. Been in a few full on wrestling matches. My best solution to the fight was to swim to the boat. After a few kick cycles, the fish would start following. Usually staying calm long enough to get out of the water. Then pull it into gaff range. I’ve long since retired from spearfishing. I really enjoy your videos. Cobia is my favorite fish on the grill!!
Way to go Madeline! You have a great teacher. Love y'all an happy for you both. Please be safe God Bless. Y'all gotta try white cheddar cheese horseradish from bores head. Put it on the sprouts steak. It good .
another great video Aaron. Congratulations to Madeline on her cobe and the meal looked delicious. I could almost smell those brussel sprouts. I love um. have you ever cooked them in bacon fat or tallow it's worth a try👍
Great channel/episode! I hope you pick up a sponsor for some patio furniture…Madeline needs some side tables around the fire pit! Cheers from Michigan!
I wade fish sometimes around Keaton beach area and yeah, if you’re catching or shooting fish always keep your head on a swivel. Mr. Shark will show up and sniff around.
Aloha, and nice cobia Madeline! Congratulations. I know you like picatta sauce, try the cobia with a picatta sauce, instead of capers, substitute crab, or both. It’s mouth watering.
That ad was too much. Can we simplify? Awesome job though M! You've got me amped to fly from Michigan to go at it again!
What do you mean by too much?
Always appreciate feedback, gonna pin this. With no longer offering charters, as my main source of income. I’m attempting to get the most out of the channel without overdoing it. Feedback is always appreciated. 🙏🏻

She had confidence way before she met him. What he gave her is knowledge. Totally different but go hand in hand if you want to produce.

That exact meal with a lemon butter and white wine caper sauce. Oh man. Got me hangry.
Aloha. My most memorable cobia was with a lemon crab buerre blanc. Basically the same thing, substitute crab for capers. Or maybe both.
Beautiful video from start to finish! Cool fish!! One for the lady!! ❤❤
Sometimes instead of parm we drizzle reduced basalmic on the sprouts. Great vid!
