Trust me, Johnny doesn't need anyone to carry him. He is just giving little brother Edgar the spotlight on this. They are each amazing artists in their own right. Because they are albino and couldn't go outside during the day, they spent a lot of time practicing their music, and it shows. I saw Johnny in the mid 70s and he is mindblowing. Check out the live version of Edgar's Frankenstein. He freakin' kills it on keys, sax AND drums

This was a Johnny Winter concert , Edgar was filling in , and Johnny let Edgar do a song , this is what he chose !

  • @martyjansing2675

Facts to know: Edgar called himself, "WHITE TRASH". There is a live album titled WHITE TRASH. The drummer and bass player became Double Trouble when playing with Steve Ray Vaughn

This tune is DEEP blues. Blues has no skin color, only HEART.

  • @redzone77p

Johnny is one of the greatest blues players to ever to touch a six string, Edgar plays about every instrument know to man....get something straight, Johnny was a star.

  • @bebedenham362

Remember now, Johnny is a guitarist, pure and simple, he can sing tho too.

  • @rachelbrachman1510

Johnny became the first non-African American to be inducted into the Blues Hall of Fame in 1988.

  • @glassontherocks

Johnny was giving the glory to his Brother. He needs nobody to assist him.

  • @sugarshackstudios4889

Johnny Winter was one of the best EVER blues guitar slingers to have ever lived. It's a shame you never heard of these guys. You really need to go back and listen. Edgar is still crankin in his late 70's & Johnny last album was a killer.

I've seen Edgar Winter twice in concert. The first time was in the 70s, the last time was shortly after Johnny had passed away. When he mentioned his brother, the entire audience was on their feet, and I think Edgar got a little choked up. Johnny Winter was an incredible blues guitarist.

  • @Arandomperson_online

    They both gifted 🥰

  • @GunnarJohnson-tj1wk

This was Edgar's song. Johnny accompanied Edgar on this song.

  • @bobhoffman9848

This was Johnny’s concert, but as others have pointed out here, he showcased his younger brother’s talent. “Be Careful with a Fool” from this same show is incredible. Check it out.

  • @kimnolan4084

The sign of a good musician is knowing when to hang back and let others shine.,.team effort throughout. Amazing !!

  • @deannacrownover3

Brother, Johnny shone so brightly on his own that he had to step back to let his brother into the spotlight.

  • @richiet5914

I saw Johnny at the Bottom Line in NYC. He played about 2 hours then said he hadn't had a chance to play with his brother in a while and then Edgar came out and they played another two hours.

  • @stevegans3517

Johnny was the first non-African-American to be inducted into the Blues Hall of Fame. The bassist here, Tommy Shannon, went on to play with Stevie Ray Vaughn in the 80s and 90s. This is a cover of a Nashville Teens song from 1959 - if I'm wrong there someone please correct me. Eric Burdon (Lead singer of the Animals) did a very different but pretty decent cover of this as well. The subtitles here have an error, the line is "I despise you because you're filthy". If you listen you can hear that that's what Edgar is singing.

  • @kevinlundgren1169

I got to see Johnny three times , the last time was two weeks before he passed away , yes , he walked on the stage by himself , his fingers still moved , he still jammed , fantastic show ! I would suggest Johnny Winter , live at Rockpalast , doing , The medley , it's a combination of different blues songs . Then you can hear Johnny play !
