What I love about this Dc animated run is every movie contributes to the overall story. You don’t see it now but something is picked up from each movie and when the finale comes, it all makes sense. Pretty great. This one didn’t seem that great when I first saw it but by the end I realized it’s importance.

The teen titans are easily my favorite group of heroes of all time, especially Raven. As someone who grew up with the original cartoon I love this movie and the next few involving them too, and the Kami Garcia comics SLAP. The mainstream dc comics stuff also has some seriously awesome things happening for the titans the past 2/3 years. Definitely great time to be a fan, i hope Gunn does these characters serious justice

I think there are definitely some narrative choices that haven’t exactly worked but overall it’s not nearly as bad as people say it is, and I don’t think any of the issues with the show stem from the cast. I love all the actors and they’ve pretty much nailed their roles, it’s just the choices the writers make that do them dirty sometimes. But it has some pretty good stuff not gonna lie, action scenes have always been 10/10 too like idk who they hired for it but I hope they bring those people into some other projects because seriously their pretty dope with the choreo. I think this show will be a good example for future writers about what works and what doesn’t for these characters. The newest season has been the best and the closest I’ve ever felt they’ve been most similar to the original cartoons/comics dynamics. So overall yeah it def coulda given us more then it did but still not a horrible ride, but honestly the cast performances make up for the writing sometimes for me. I’d like to see the stuff that worked adapted into future live action projects for these characters for sure

I feel like the energies of being in a hellish dimension gave Beast Boy the ability to take on more monstrous appearances. It might be a reference to the Werebeast form that he can take in the og TT series from the 2000s. Also that series and these movies show just why Raven is so underrated
Mind control was always a weird concept to me in comics. Realistically characters like Superman and Flash would instantly kill everyone effortlessly since no one is anywhere as fast as they are

Only thing I can think of that was different was Night Wing had just barely stopped being Robin and was sorta confused about his future, and obviously there wasn't yet a Damian.. also Terra is the daughter of the king of Markovia (which makes her Geo Forces half brother) and not from nobody parents who abandoned her.. but besides that, I mean even the relationships were similar, right down to Deathstroke sleeping with like a 16 year old Terra was true to the Judas contract run....
I really love this movie and i hope DCU do their teen titans formation similar to this, like: Nightwing, Starfire, Raven, Beastboy, Bluebeetle and Bumblebee
No thanks. It’s fine for the DCAMU but in the comics Raven is in the same generation as Dick so if they ever do the titans in the DCU I’d prefer that keep it that way.

In the original wolfman comics her love interest was Wally West/ Kid flash. In the 90s she also was romantically interested in Nightwing and extremely jealous of starfire. She even crashed their wedding when she was temporarily evil. It wasn’t until The johns run and the cartoon the two started to be linked romantically. And that has since become the standard romance for the two of them.
Yeah, for us that were knee-deep in the DCAU while the movies were bombing, we were just living, and yeah, until this version of Damien Dick was my favorite Robin, but I ended up loving Damien so much I followed him into the super sons comics and have yet to be disappointed.

I've read enough Titans comics to genuinely treat the JL as recurring antagonists for them. The JL coming in and throwing orders around - despite the Titans not normally being affiliated with them - is an ever-present threat XD With that background, I always liked that in this film the Titans get to say "OK JL, you're used to dealing with the big problems, but you aren't the slightest bit prepared for Raven's, so we'll take it from here."

Honestly this portrayal of the Teen Titans and especially of Raven are my favorite on screen versions since the original Teen Titans cartoons. In the making of features one of the writers said that Raven is almost an allegory for all teenage girls who are told to keep their emotions in check as they go through puberty. What makes Raven complex is that she literally can’t allow herself to feel any heightened emotions because since they are tied to her powers if her emotions run wild then so to do her powers. Hence the almost permanent emo attitude.
Favorite part of this movie is when they ask Damien if he has a way to take out Superman and he smiles, that smile is the same as Batman’s when GL ask him if he just a guy in a suit.

@@Hellohellonada What I'm referring to is the target audience which are kids and teenagers. They grew up with the original Batman Animated Series, Justice League Unlimited, etc. When the show started airing they're probably in their very late teens or early young adulthood which wasn't the target demographic. I for one watched the early DC animated series as well but when the Teen Titans show first aired I was part of the target audience because I was in my early teens.

46:04 Wonder Woman & Superman get SO much better as the DCAMU goes along. They start off a bit too cocky or bloodthirsty, but with every subsequent movie, they become more like their traditional selves by the end.

Boy oh boy, that will always be my favorite Wonder Woman outfit. Damian will always be my favorite Robin. Also, I love Steve Blum, but his voice coming out of Lex’s mouth is weird to me. Just such a distinct voice. Might lowkey be an interesting Batman though.

@@Hellohellonada What I'm referring to is the target audience which are kids and teenagers. They grew up with the original Batman Animated Series, Justice League Unlimited, etc. When the show started airing they're probably in their very late teens or early young adulthood which wasn't the target demographic.
I for one watched the early DC animated series as well but when the Teen Titans show first aired I was part of the target audience because I was in my early teens.

46:04 Wonder Woman & Superman get SO much better as the DCAMU goes along. They start off a bit too cocky or bloodthirsty, but with every subsequent movie, they become more like their traditional selves by the end.
