- Kyōryū Sentai Zyuranger (恐竜戦隊ジュウレンジャー, Kyōryū Sentai Jūrenjā, Dinosaur Squad Zyuranger is a Japanese tokusatsu television series and the sixteenth installment in the long-running 'Super Sentai' metaseries of superhero programs. Produced by Toei and Bandai, it aired on TV Asahi from February 21, 1992 to February 12, 1993, with a total of 50 episodes.
It was the first Sentai series to have a regular Sixth Ranger, and the first to introduce the concept of sentient, living mecha-a theme that has been used frequently in the franchise ever since. It was also the first Sentai series to be adapted into an installment of the American Power Rangers series.
Footage from all 50 episodes was extensively used for the first season of Mighty Morphin Power Rangers.
This is Episode 2 "The Revival". Directed by Shohei Tojo and written by Noboru Sugimura. Original airdate: February 28, 1992.
Power Rangers USA is a big part of my childhood and will always love it, but damn… this stuff is good
Rita : I have a headache!!!
Bandora: Oh I have a headache.
Okay. So, there's 1 thing that's constant in the multiverse. 🤣
The children are gonna grow up with so much PTSD
i was one of them and those days were DARK
So this where Mighty Morphin came from I love it
8:24 Those kids screaming in a shrunken sized space shuttle has to be the most ridiculous yet hilarious thing I have ever seen! 😂
This is so much cooler than power rangers
Thank you so much for uploading these episodes!
I like both Zyuranger and Mighty Morphin Power Rangers myself
Sound track sound like a dragon ball theme song!!!!
It’s crazy how different of a story MMPR is compared to it’s Japanese counterpart and there’s so much Canon from MMPR that spun off from it. It was cool in the comments that they made a mention of the “Bandora Palace” and were confused 😂
9:17 this is very anime stuff 🤔
Am i crazy or is this much better than the power rangers?
much better
Much better. I wish it could be completely dubbed and released.
Not better just different.
To be fair, unlike power rangers they actually had a grasp on what they were doing
@@mikefromusa6902 It doesn't need to be dubbed. You can buy Super Sentai on DVD and watch it with subtitles
Now i understand that scene with the shuttle
Imagine what it would be like if the scene where Bandora (AKA, Rita) and her goons getting trapped in that dumpster was put in the viewing globe in Day of the Dumpster.
I'll bet it would sound like this.
Rita: Mark my words, Zordon of Eltar! You have not heard the last of Rita Repulsa!!!!!
I love how in this one it makes perfect sense in what she was doing with the rocket ship.. in mmpr it makes her 1 million times incompetent and makes no sense in what she was even trying to do. 😅😂
Ok but why is the blue ranger so cute tho
6:22 R.I.P. to that clay monster
The old me found it so weird why they all got their Zords/Ancient Dinosaurs in the 1st episode of Might Morphin Power Rangers and beat Goldar but in this series they haven't obtained them yet, caused a huge plot hole in episode 2 of Saban's version why Jason was the only one with his despite them having access to them in the 1st episode... Saban likely used footage from a much later episode didn't they? In true style!
18:12
Oh, I've got such a headache!
Somebody bring me an aspirin!
I like elements of both shows but more from the original than American.
Glad Rita Repulsa never felt the same way about children as Bandora did.
The Dark tones is why I love super sentai more :) and the magical attacks being used. Lol America back then was sensitive on that subject. It’s miracle we got what we did in terms of that since Japan is Shinto & Buddhism heavy, they don’t have the same outlook on that thing. bandoro 😊
That's Rita repulsa alright , she got a headache
Was Pirupican making the Sign of the Cross when hoping for good luck for his monster? As a servant to a villain whose backstory involves a literal deal with Satan?
Jack Chick would have a field day with that.
This slaps
Witch Bandora ain't kiddin.
Tiger ranger! *inhale* BOI!!!
3:30 and 4:17😮
Dora skeleton sounds like space kook from Scooby doo
Either that, or he's always about to say, "Wipeout!"
@@RichardX1 wipeout what’s that from if you don’t mind me asking
@@grantpeterson2280 ruclips.net/video/p13yZAjhU0M/видео.html
Boi and Dan as names of the Japanese rangers lol
I thought the slang for boi originated in the hood, but nope Japan been hood since the 90's
Even funnier when you remember that the Zyuranger named "Boi" was turned into a girl in the Power Rangers version.
@@RichardX1 i know right lol, i was shocked when i seen the yellow ranger was a guy.
But, as a child i did wander why the pink ranger had a skirt, but the yellow "Trini" didnt.
So fast forward from age 8 to 32
& now i know why lol
Is that the giant from game of thrones
This would not fly as a kids show in North america
😮😮😮😮😮😮
Haim saban é um Gênio por ter nos apresentado os Power rangers..... porque isso aí japones já eata parecendo uma droga
2:27
Who is the guy with the red jacket 11:09
That’s Geki, Jason’s Japanese counterpart.
@[VUT] Windows XP TWO yes, but mainly Jason.
Sou fã da versão estadunidense, mas esse original é muito melhor, a versão da Saban é muito superficial.
Japan 👍😎. 🎥 Japan only fighting watch. No Anime...
Agradeço ao Haim Saban por ter transformado essa porcaria japonesa, história e atores, caracterização horriveis
