adrianna is actually so sweet. shes getting the reality check she needs, but is respectful.
She's rlly pretty too
she's also very pretty
Well the problem that the moment she will go back to the city with her friends she will start to drink and smoke again
I think she's pretty stubborn but other than that she easily get used to her environment
Shes an alcoholic is her problem, strict parents can't help with that, therapy or rehab can

these have to be the most soft spoken parents on the show
Yeah I would love to pet lambs
A C: Even when Mark was angry, he never shouted.
Actually that would have to be the Irish parents
But their beliefs and the way they raised their children is just unnecessarily strict
Mark looks tall and scary doesn't need to yell just looking at him makes you scared to break his rules
I actually like that these parents are not trying to control Adriana’s clothing choices , and it seems like they’re the kind of people who’ve raised their son to respect all women
I was quite shocked by that to be honest... Usually these religious families are extra strict on women for these kids of things...
"Respect all women" is how you raise men to be run over by women their entire lives. Why do you think there's the classic saying of "nice guys finish last"?

I think about how they said they couldn’t have the door closed if they were alone in the room and they got in trouble like the cameraman wasn’t even in the room
Keeping kids protected from everything all the time is the best way to get them hurt. When they leave the house they will have no idea of the dangers and how the real world is and will be in so much more danger than if they were already experienced and knowledgeable about real life.

"What Adriana wants Adriana gets." Lady you give her what she wants. If I was her mom, she would only be getting the necessities (food, basic clothes etc.)
I think the most invaluable lesson anyone can learn is that there are so many people that are so much worse off than you. Adrian really seemed to learn so much from this experience. Again hats off to the host parents, they do an amazing job.

I've been binge watching these lately and I really wonder how they pick the families the kids go to. Like are these families already set up to help struggling teens or are they just random families that thought they were strict and they volunteered themselves for the show?
I’ve been wondering the same thing. Especially regarding the families in foreign countries.
I think this family must have already been set up as they mentioned that they've had kids stay with them who are waiting for court dates etc or something similar to it

I'm actually surprised they forgave him. Also, it's kind of dangerous to shelter your kids from the real world. I also disagree about corporal punishment being effective. There's a reason why it's illegal in certain countries.

there are many things i disagree with on the parents account particularly corporal punishment. But ensuring their kids are brought up to be hard workers, forgiving the boy and being that kind to the 2 little brats was an exceptionally admiral act
Corporal punishment doesn’t work because when the boy gets older, if he gets hit by his dad, when he’s 16 or so, he’ll hit back harder
